Going out of our way to work locally, we hired JN Service HVAC and Plumbing to inspect and repair an air conditioning unit. The bill for various repairs was about $730. We get that--these things are expensive. But two or three days later, and without anyone else having been in the house (we are traveling), we learned from someone who came in to water our plants that the air conditioning in that unit still was not working AND that the back door had been left wide open, resulting in a massive infestation of ants. The technician even admitted that he left that door open, but said only "my bad." As for the air conditioning unit, upon return to inspect it he said the capacitor had died since his previous visit. Yes, we are to believe that this happened within a few days of an allegedly thorough inspection. We got nowhere with suggestions that it seems much more likely that the technician never checked the capacitor at all, or else that he did and it ran briefly on residual charge. Hoping to resolve this without rancor, we offered to pay for the capacitor itself, but not another service visit. The boss is dug in against that, and no longer responds to messages. We have given up wrangling over this, but did tell the boss that we feel obliged to warn people. This is all very regrettable. We started out wanting to hire and then recommend a local company. Really can't do that in this case.

I first encountered this vehicle on my road as I was stuck behind them as they drove 10 mph for about half mile. Then at the stop sign, this truck sat and sat and sat with zero traffic stopping them. I honked to let them know I was there and so he responded with a long blast of his air horn. I then tried to drive around this truck, and so he waited until I was almost past, then pulled out and tried to race me. I could go on but I won't. I will add that this grumpy crap hauler recognized my car a week later and then began similar antics. Cannot believe DOT would license someone who drives like this. I have called this business to ask to speak to the driver and I will update this if I receive a call back. Given my experiences I would not recommend this business. I have a further update. This pro now honks his air horn when he drives past my house. Isn't that great! Professionalism at its finest.

When the humidifier was installed, he quoted us in the $300.00 range. It ended up over $700.00. We paid and bit our lips. In May 2021 the furnace was installed and paid for. In November 2021 we had a problem with a computer board and blower motor after a power outage. According to the manufacturer the parts were covered by warranty. It took our intervention to get the parts needed. We were without heat for a solid month. Finally, on January 26-2022 Lubera came to our home with the part needed to restore our heat. Lubera insisted on being paid for the board. He subsequently got paid over 800.00 for labor and parts. we asked him to go to the manufacturer to be reimbursed for the part and give us credit for what we paid. His answer was "you are lucky they covered the motor". We have crossed this plumber off our list. We will never use him again. He did nothing that is demonstrable to get the parts needed. I had to call the manufacturer and do a conference call with Lubera's wife to get the part shipped. Lubera did not honor his commitment to us.
