I had such a great experience with the stove I bought from Eugene years ago, that Lorain Furniture and Appliance was the first and last place that I looked for another. It's been a year now, and I love this thing. Works perfectly. We also had some guys out to do work on a washer and dryer and had a great experience with them as well. The whole crew here is always so knowledgeable and helpful.

Melikey antique furniture stores without hefty, inflated antique store price tags--and this store…read moreis just that. Sure, there were a few items that were a little pricey (like these corner book shelves that were $350/ea.), but really everything else was pretty negotiable and, well, cheap! They even had a porch swing that I'm still considering coming back for and it's only $40!! Umm, lay off it--it's mine. They also have lots of appliances, antique and new, as well as new mattresses for a pretty teeny price. I'm tempted to also go back for their bed frames, since mine is on it's way out. And for only $20-25, you really can't beat that. I'm excited to come back when they get some new antiques in, but for the time being this place is packed with interesting things. I say packed because it's literally a hodge-podge of cool stuff piled on top of each other into a maze that's almost impossible to get through. That's how you know it's going to be good. Like I mentioned before, the gents there seemed relatively open to negotiation on some of the antique furniture pieces, so don't be too shy to ask. If you can get past the pure terror of hanging out in the neighborhood, you'll definitely be rewarded with treasures for cheap.

Extremely disappointed with my experience. I purchased a washer for $200 and a dishwasher for $100…read moreand paid their delivery person an additional $100 to install the dishwasher and remove both old appliances. For a month & a half, I had been trying to arrange for one of their technicians come out and look unit because it never worked properly. I bought the dishwasher 3 days before the new year and someone finally came on February 17th. When their mechanics finally came out, They left saying that they would need to bring another part because all of a sudden a pipe was leaking. They never called back and water started leaking onto my kitchen floor and into my basement that same day. I called them to try to get it fixed since it started suddenly after they came, and they never called back. Running a new line cost ME another $125 out of pocket. When I went back to the store, they only refunded the original $100 purchase price and refused to reimburse the $125 for the required water line or the money sent to the delivery guy for faulty installation. They repeatedly told me the delivery guy who installed the dishwasher had "scammed other people" and no longer works for them but unfortunately, they would not be refunding me. To make matters worse, they would not even pick up the nonworking dishwasher, leaving me stuck with a broken appliance and additional disposal hassle. Overall, I'm out hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it. Poor accountability & poor customer service. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere for appliances.

So, the delivery fee is $75, fine. I was warned that if they had to take off doors it would be…read more$25. The drivers had to take off the fridge doors (10 minutes worth of work) they charged me $60!!! Because of this, I will NEVER buy from then again. Beware......

My Whirlpool front loading washer was displaying F03 and E01 error codes, the door was locked and I…read morecouldn't get my clothes out. I called them for service and they said they would come out the next day and charge $85 + tax, total $91.58 for the service call. Before the tech came out I researched the codes on the internet and found that there were two very simple procedures that any able-bodied person could do and, if performed, could eliminate the problem. If this didn't work, replacing a water level sensor switch, available for about $50 retail, which takes 2 minutes to do, almost always worked. Although getting into the washer to do this only requires removing about 12 screws to get the top and back panels off, I'm many years old and not exactly in great shape. When the service tech came out he looked at the washer, saw the codes, and didn't really even touch it. He said I needed a new sensor switch, would have to order it, the charge to install it would be over $200, and the service fee to come out that day wouldn't apply to the repair cost. Since he was already there, I asked him to perform the procedures that I had looked up on the internet.. His response was: Our policy for this problem is, we will only replace the switch. He said someone would call me the following day with a repair. That was on a Friday. By Thursday the following week I had not heard from anybody there. So I called and spoke to somebody who asked me a bunch of questions, seemed confused, couldn't give me any information about the estimate, and then told me that the owner will call me tomorrow. It will be an interesting conversation, if he calls me that is. Regardless, there is absolutely no way I will have this company come out again.
