We have found that the pros mostly outweigh the cons. We've saved some money coming here through the years and have almost always found what we've needed for own home repairs and yard maintenance. The store is clean, well organized, and store employees have always been helpful and friendly. I've used the Menards app to see if the store has what I'm looking for and to help me locate items once I've found them. That's very useful. We get a kick out of finding food and drinks there. Couldn't believe we found giardiniera (spicy relish often used on Chicago-style hot dogs) and other items there in a pinch. It's saved us from going to a much busier grocery store. We've rented their pickup truck to bring furniture to our daughter''s new place. That was a good value and rental was a snap. But there are three things that we have found not so great: 1.) Their garden section is hit-or-miss with plants, and sometimes the plants look a bit unhealthy. 2.) I wish product reviews were available on their website and app to help me decide if products I'm considering are good or not. 3.) I think the rebate system is terrible; unless you are spending a lot, sending in a rebate slip to get back 11% on a five dollar item isn't worth the postage stamp, and you aren't always guaranteed that an item has a rebate attached to it-we recently discovered that. Also the 'rebate' is store credit, so not really cash back in your pocket.

I will never, ever buy another appliance from this store. In October of 2016, I purchased a…read morerefrigerator here. When it was delivered, the crew pulled out the old refrigerator without making sure the water line to the ice maker was turned off. Water sprayed all over the kitchen and the crew just stood there until I grabbed the line and shoved it into the sink. Our new flooring was soaked and soon buckled. The crew went outside to call their dispatch and report that we had a "non-functioning shut off valve". However, while they were outside, I myself managed to turn the valve all the way off and I have arthritis in my hand. It wasn't that difficult! Then one of the crew told me they couldn't reconnect the line to the new refrigerator and gave me the name and number of his cousin who he said would do it. WTF! I filed a claim with Sears Customer service. It took days to hear from them. I sent pictures of the mold and floor damage caused by the water and inept delivery crew. Another long silence. Finally, I got a voicemail from someone who said she needed "more information" even though my claim was detailed and photos of the damage were self-explanatory. It cost us $1220 to have the subfloor, insulation and flooring repaired. We received a letter of denial for our claim. The delivery crew said the valve was broken and apparently made no mention that me, their little old lady customer with arthritic hands, was able to turn the water off by herself. Right now, right before Christmas, it looks like we're out $1220. I have little hope that this claim will ever be paid. I am considering filing a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General. Stay far away from this place. Go to Lowe's! Update-1/25/17. The end of the Sears Appliance Delivery Debacle. After four months of back and forth with Sears and their delivery company, and being kissed off by both, even after filing with the Attorney General, I finally contacted my insurance. We'll get back about 3/4 of the $1200 spent to reconstruct the floor. Please, guys, stay away from Sears!

Shopping for any type of appliance can be incredibly frustrating & time consuming. Over the past…read moreyear, I've spend countless hours shopping online & in multiple hardware stores only to leave empty handed & highly disappointed. The lack of selection & unnecessary amount of "special functions" when you just need the good 'ol fashioned basics is beyond exhausting. But thanks to this tiny shop, I found exactly what I wanted in less than an hour! The staff here were friendly but didn't do the annoying "shark" technique or try to pressure us into buying a more expensive dryer. The store was clean, spacious & well laid out. The prices for the appliances were somewhat equal to any other store but fair & they thankfully didn't sell the same junk that other competitors offer, they have a good variety for such a small space. Although I'm not a fan of Sears as a company, I would recommend this store to anyone.

We recently purchased a GE Refrigerator/Freezer from Home Depot (4066 Medina Rd, Fairlawn, OH…read more44333) which came with Free Delivery and Installation. Delivery and Installation was a joke. All that was done was to carry the appliance into the house and plug it in. The refrigerator was brought in as it was shipped by the manufacturer. This means that they did not install handles or shelving which was shoved inside the refrigerator in boxes. They would not install the water line because our shut off valve was not immediately behind the refrigerator. We called a plumber out and he thought this was crazy because we had a setup with a shutoff valve right below the refrigerator in the basement which he indicated was to code. He advised doing nothing and we should simply hook the waterline into the new refrigerator ourselves. The 4 refrigerator doors were totally covered with a blue protective film which was also tucked into the seams so it could not be removed cleanly. When I asked the delivery man about the protective film, his response was "do you expect me to spend my day peeling this off". My wife and I spent hours over 2 days trying to remove the film but are still left with blue film around the edges which we can't get totally out. If you look at the Home Depot website, they have a picture of delivery men carrying in a refrigerator very similar to ours that that has handles installed and no protective film on the appliance - FALSE ADVERTISING! We will never return to Home Depot again.
