We'd had a long busy day and were all over the place trying to explain things. They were patient, shook our hands, joked around a bit. Brought my car in because the brakes went to the floor, they replaced the back brakes and said I had a bad caliber, they told me the price and although it was expensive, I agreed because I needed to get it fixed. When I picked up my car, the price was a lot more than what was quoted. And the brakes still go to the floor. So still dangerous to drive and manager didn't seem to care. They also had added a brake kit on there that was $11.09, I was charged $110.90. clearly added a zero behind it. Didn't read right on my invoice. When I called about it, I got an agent that didn't listen and didn't speak clear English. She just kept asking if I wanted to make an appointment. I told her I needed to talk to a manager and she put me on hold and told me the manager was with a customer and will call me back. I waited an hour. I called back and I was told that the manager was still with a customer. So I decided to drive up to the store only to find out that it was closed for the day. Not once did the agent that answered the phone tell me they were closed but lied to me and told me the manager was with a customer all 3 times I called. I did call the next day and the manager said the invoice was wrong but then said they charged 110.90 for new lug nuts. And he isn't sure why it was billed under a brake kit. Never apologized, never tried to make it right and honor the invoice. Over $700 for back brakes, one caliber and "lug nuts" ! I called the Davenport store just to see what they would tell me and I asked how much for the same service and the guy was extremely nice and gave me a breakdown and even said you can bring in your own lug nuts if you would like to save money! That is honest!! The only reason I even went there was because my lug nuts were stuck and I couldn't get them off, otherwise I could have done the work myself. So disappointing that there was no communication! That is poor business taking people for as much as you can and not being upfront and honest! Had they been honest and quoted the correct price with the breakdown BEFORE the work, and maybe if the brake pedal still didn't hit the floor after paying all that money, then I would have something nice to say!!

My experience was a joke. It started out whatever as I went with my friend that needed a part. I…read morewas wearing a long sleeve and asked to use the bathroom which they did let me but it immediately turned into the guy asking if I wanted an audience (which I joked back this didn't bother me really). They even printed out a paper of possible cars that might have the part we needed as well as had tools we could borrow that we needed. At first he seemed nice and asked if we wanted to put our ice cream in the freezer as we went to the junk yard and I agreed. We didn't have much luck but it was our own fault even. So my friend (who is a male) returned the tools that were borrowed and there wasn't any problem at all until I walked into the office when all of a sudden just a socket just happened to be missing when things were fine for my friend. I believed him at first and went to look for the socket since took set was only opened at all near 1 car and did not find one socket. My friend did have a part but he put it down at the entrance of the junkyard and then got in his car and drove into the yard to find me. I can not stress enough about how HE WAS DRIVING INTO THE JUNKYARD when I saw him and got into the car to go look for the single socket. And than we were being surrounded in the car by all the non threatening employees (I'm really not trying to be mean when I say they all were standing around the car looking around as if they had not a clue what they were doing) as if to scare us I'm assuming. I believe it was the owner (the same guy in the first paragraph) asked me how much money I had on me which was $20 and why would I tell him any more especially when I was confused. I had to go into the office give him the $20 all while some customer that was talking to everybody there was making remarks about how I was stealing. I regret paying it but again at the time not really understanding the situation. Than later on talking to my friend about this insane nonsense that I truly believe there was not a socket missing. So long story short, I got robbed of $20 for a cheap socket that I have better ones I could have brought if they asked nicely as well as my 2 tubs of ice cream. I can't say for certain if it's cause I'm female or we just looked like easy targets to make some quick money off but they clearly made out with a win.
