Thinking of a trip to China? Well, we're planning a trip in 2026. Only after making an online…read morebooking deposit for a trip did I realize that the difficult part is securing a China visa. Further learned that for persons born in China "territories." ie, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the visa application process is much more complicated. Googling China Visa applications resulted in a lot of information. Too much information, in fact, that caused me to think that the process may be futile. Indeed, a HK-born friend who underwent the process decided to cancel her China trip because of these complications and hassles. I was confused and dismayed. Wife suggested I contact our decade-long travel agent, Eva Ho of LL Travel in Milpitas. I didn't realize they provide this service. Since her office is nearby, I decided to do it the old-fashion way and meet with her in person, without going through all the back & forth of texts and emails. So glad I did. Explained to her my situation and she guided me to locate documents that she would need to optimally prepare our Applications. Eva made copies in her office, took a photo of me (I submitted my wife's via email, following her guidance for photo-taking), started filling out our online applications, and took possession of our USA Passports. That was a Tuesday afternoon. A week later, on a Friday, I had our Passports back in hand, containing 10-year China Visas, when I picked them up at her Milpitas office. Took 7 business days. In fact, the visas, as stamped, were issued in exactly one week. The beauty of this smooth & quick process: -- White-glove treatment from start to finish -- All inclusive service: filling application, taking photos, copying, etc. -- L L Travel office is conveniently located in central Milpitas, across from Taiwan Culture Center -- Eliminated all the stress and worry of process -- Eliminated the need to make two trips into China San Francisco - Consulate (eats up more than half a day each) -- Eliminated the expense and risk of sending Passports through mail/Fedex (if through other non-local Visa Service provider) -- Leverage visa expertise of a person who has done the process countless times -- Visa application may be submitted before the 90 days of a China trip -- Eva & Julie speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese. They also handle Vietnam visas -- Fee for service + China Visa is a very reasonable $300 (Visa fee is $140 alone). Other online place/s charge as high as $632 + Fedex fees -- Lesson: sometimes it's best not to do it ourselves online. Pay for the guidance/service of an expert. If you're in Silicon Valley/SF Bay Area and need a China Visa, contact Eva Ho or business partner, Julie Lam, of LL Travel, to arrange an appointment. Eva@LLTravel.us Julie@LLTravel.us

She handled the passport renewal, took her photo, and told us she'd notify us when everything was ready. I picked up the passport when told it was ready, but Julie wasn't there. Another staff member handed it to me after making a copy, and we trusted that everything was complete. Jenny didn't find out until she was at the airport for a red‑eye flight that the visa was never placed in her passport. She was nearly denied boarding and had to apply for an emergency visa on the spot. It was incredibly stressful and cost us extra money due to their error. When she called Julie afterward, LL Travel refused to reimburse her and claimed they tried to contact her. We were never notified ahead of time that the visa was missing or needed to be picked up separately. Mistakes happen--but refusing to take responsibility is unacceptable. This was careless handling of important travel documents, and their response showed a lack of accountability. I would not trust LL Travel again. Proceed with caution.

I hate to be predictable here, but stay AWAY from this place. It is not worth your time or any…read more"free" trip they may offer. My husband and I have never been treated so unprofessionally in our lives. We made the mistake of signing up for a "free" trip at a bike show we attended a few weeks prior. The cool dude at the booth said all we had to do was set up a time to meet with one of their travel agents where we would learn about CTC's other travel deals and offers. Just for meeting with them we would receive a free 7 day trip at one of their condo locations. We were skeptical, but also about 3 beers deep and figured "eh, what the hell." We assumed the meeting would cover various travel packages and anticipated some aggressive up selling from the agent, but we had no idea what we were in for. The meeting ended up being an "interactive" 90 minute power point on how CTC Travel/Pulaski Tickets & Tours would make us a travel agent, and thus would receive all travel booked through them at a heavily discounted, travel agent rate. All WE had to do was write a check for 10k THAT NIGHT and pay yearly dues of $199. I cannot speak to whether or not the travel deals they presented are legit or not, but as we were not prepared to write them a check for 10 grand it was a dead issue. Once the preso was completed, an agent came to our table to meet with us one on one. My husband made it clear to him that while it all sounded great, "it was not right for us, was way out of our budget, and we would NOT be writing a check of any kind, but thank you for your time." The initial agent seemed nice enough, but at our firm "no" seemed a bit like he was trying to bite back some irritation. It was an awkward exchange. At that point he said he would "get our free gifts" and we assumed the worst was over, and would soon be on our way. When he returned with his supervisor my husband made a joke that he was sorry they didn't get the other customer who was in the meeting with us, as she claimed to be a avid traveler and seemed like she was ready to sign up. At this statement both men rolled their eyes and proceeded to totally trash talk this other customer saying they "didn't buy a word she was saying" and implied she was full of it and wasted their time. I was pretty surprised by their candid negativity toward this customer especially when she WALKED PAST the conference room again and could have overheard everything they were saying about her! At this point I could only assume she did not choose to sign up with CTC and these guys were pissed so they had no issue talking crap about her to complete strangers! Once the supervisor sat down with us he started in on how he could give us an even better deal and he wanted to help us out, blah, blah, blah. Perhaps his intention was genuine, but the whole sales pitch and tone of the conversation reminded me of being trapped in a car dealership. I don't use the word "trapped" lightly either. It was hard to not feel like we were being held captive after having been foolishly lured into their van with the promise of a "free trip." Also, as it was 9:15 on a week night, and we had already been there for 2 hours, we were anxious to be on our way home. In so many words my husband said, "look, we don't want to waste your time here, you could drop the cost to a dollar and we would not sign up, but thank you anyway." After a bit more back and forth the supervisor became IRATE. He started raising his voice to us and said "you know what, I'm just trying be be polite here and help you out!!! I don't need this!! You think I CARE if you sign up?! Get out of here. Seriously. Get out!" As we sat there in slightly stunned, incredibly uncomfortable silence, he curtly explained our "free" gift trip to us, threw the paperwork at me and said "THERE. Get out." At which point we were dismissed with a flick of his hand. His anger, rudeness and lack of professionalism was honestly, shocking. So, in summation, if you are interested in being bullied into spending 5-10 thousand dollars by condescending jerks, you may be able to save some $$ on travel. If for some reason that is not something you are interested in, prepare to be treated like a piece of dog crap being scraped from the bottom of a shoe. Or, just learn from our mistake, and avoid this place all together. You're welcome.

Looks like the same type of "offer" Yelpers are discussing under Pulaski Travel in Concord…read more I just got off the phone with the hoarse voiced Carmella congratulating me on my free travel vacation I won after filling out some computer entry at the San Mateo Flower Show last month. Hummm, I did fill out a little slip of paper, never ever said " married, combined income $55,000, ages betw 27 - 70 or something. Carmella made me confirm that I am married because it's really important that they are dealing with a married couple. She explained that big time companies like Travelocity can pay for TWO commercials in the Superbowl and cater to a younger crowd. They are going for an older crowd (thus the flower show goers), and they believe that the best way to spend their money is to give away free travel and have the happy campers spread the word for them. I asked for the website and while we were talking mentioned that I don't see their Milpitas office listed on the website. Carmella blew that off with, "all the info you need will be in our email". Then I was passed on to Lynn Cook, awards coordinator. She instantly had all the info I had just discussed with Carmilla, including my idea of a dream vacation and where the last place I vacationed was. I was told that after I got the email I should respond with a "Got It" and will get a $25 gift certificate. (for something). I was given an appointment for 8pm, told to arrive at 7:45p, and expect to stay for 90 minutes. Why so long? I was told it takes time to intro the company, let us decide if we want to add more days, more flights , and the explanation of how they can save us 50% on travel. Oh boy. Also, we are both required to attend (even though I was told I could take someone else on the trip), bring 2 forms of ID, show a credit card to prove we can pay for incidentals, and expect to pay about $140/ person for taxes that the government does not allow them to pay for (?). Lynn also confirmed that I am not a current member of CTC nor have I ever won anything from them. After reading all the Yelp review on Pulaski I will probably not go to Milpitas. Ok, got the confirmation email from Kimberley Davis: Included was my special confirmation # and links to Maui & Oahu vacation sites. READ ON: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today.
