****EDITED REVIEW*** I made a review on google and he responded to it making up a story and saying something abut me refusing to wear a mask when I am completely OK with a mask, the manager/owner of this shop is a liar, and very manipulative. I highly suggest going to any other flower shop in Newark NJ. Do not waste your time! Went to this place with my mom while visiting NJ awhile back and have to say they have horrible customer service and the shop is really messy and the old manager guys working there are rude and not friendly at all! UPDATE: The Owner contacted me and apologized for their associate not getting it right. He refunded me for the original bouquet and created an apology bouquet to the original specifications without me prompting a request. While I was disappointed in the original experience, I have to commend the owner for addressing this in a timely fashion. He messaged me Sunday directly on Yelp to schedule a followup call and suggested the refund and replacement. ORIGINAL: Never order from here, complete rip off! I requested a short pink and white floral arrangement for my goddaughter's baptism on Sunday. I brought my own vase in since we wanted a short arrangement for the reception table. I went into the shop and gave examples of requested pink and white flowers (I.e. roses, dahlias, carnation or peonies, and the standard baby's breath fillers). Instead we received an overpriced "arrangement" of six roses and baby's breathe and filler greens. This was such a disappointment for a significant moment in our family. I could have gotten a better bouquet and service from Shoprite! Requesting a refund from my credit card company and reporting this business for deceptive practices. I can't believe I wasted 30minutes of my time pointing out what flowers we wanted to not have our requests addressed. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Today is my birthday. Our world was flipped on its head a few months back, so needless to say there is no crazy celebration, no large party, no friends coming over... But while having a quiet breakfast of some fancy pancakes ordered from a restaurant a few blocks away, I was told I had a " delivery coming up " by my concierge. Kinda weird... everything has been left downstairs in the lobby for us to pick up; it's become the norm. The softest knock at my door; I open and this young woman, with the brightest smile and this positive energy hands me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers with a balloon attached. It's from my sister and her husband. The flowers are fresh, gorgeous and smell divine. I keep staring at them, I can't get enough. But what has made this situation even more special is this young woman. Even the slightest interaction we have with one another these days, can dictate our day, now more than ever. The flower selection is extremely bad, majority are dying, not fresh at all. The arrangements are very ugly and priced above average. I tried to find a card instead but they were all so outdated. But the worst thing about this place is the service, the people are nasty, very rude and disrespectful especially if you don't buy anything which obviously i don't want to buy ugly flowers that are almost dead already!! So disappointed would absolutely NOT recommend!! Save yourself the time by going to another place where you can actually find fresh flowers. Mind you i entered the shop, did not find anything i liked, exited, said THANK YOU when walking out. Then in the car trying to find another nearby flower shop since this one had a disappointing selection and a lady knocks on my car window with a very rude attitude saying we had to leave and we couldn't park there. We were in the customer parking lot and with many other spots available, not like there were people flooding in to shop there that needed the spots. I tell her we are about to leave and she starts yelling that we can't park there and we need to get out now. I tell her if we can't park there they should put up a sign? which is common sense she gets mad, more yelling and I roll up my window because i don't want a random lady yelling at my face and i will not take the disrespect and she got mad that i rolled up my window kept yelling and put up her middle finger, which in response i did too. I had a floral delivery sent via fromyouflowers.com and when the recipient received it, it was not what I ordered. It was absolutely horrible looking and did not look like the photo provided online whatsoever. It was such an embarrassment. We are recently engaged so this Valentine's Day was supposed to be super important, but you totally failed us. This is totally unacceptable and your company should be completely ashamed of the product you are sending people.  That order was cancelled and refunded through the website. BUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE was that you came back again to pick up the arrangement since the order was cancelled... you couldn't leave it alone, but had to pour salt on the wound by retrieving the shitty flowers. You can have them back, you already ruined the moment for us. I am totally upset, disappointed, heartbroken, defeated and you ruined our very special valentines day. These guys are great. Saved my butt on a beautiful same-day Valentine's order to be delivered within Newark. Then then followed up with a great spring/birthday creation for my girlfriend a few days ago. She is not the rose type, but knows her flowers and can be hard to buy for, but these guys have been able to work with me over the phone (I live in MN) to figure out a combination that works. I really had no idea what to expect shopping for flowers for the first time but the people at International Florist made it completely painless. Michael, one of the owners, and the staff were super helpful and assisted me in picking out my own unique bouquet. There is a wide selection of floral arrangements on display, all freshly made and with a very reasonable price. What a truly wonderful flower shop this is! I needed to pick up a birthday bouquet for my future mother-in-law. My usual place in Newark (Flowers by Palmira) was closed on a Sunday (which I didn't know of!) I stopped by other florists in the area, but they too were closed. Thankfully International Florist and Gift shop came through in such a huge way. I was quickly attended to and I had asked for a colorful birthday bouquet that had daisies and lilies within the $30-35 range. WOW! When I saw the bouquet they made I was truly blown away. Such a beautiful arrangement of fresh and vibrant flowers. The bouquet truly looked as if it cost waaaaay more than the $32 I was charged. Honestly, when you spend $120 for a bouquet you expect it to last more than 2 days. Even the flowers you get at walgreens or shop-rite will last at least 3 days. Not here. Not only did the roses die essentially overnight, but even the baby's breath started to die after a couple days. I've ordered healthy bouquets where the baby's breath lasts a solid month before. Save yourself the money and buy from any other place. Sure, the bouquet was beautiful, but for $120 it better be of decent quality. THEY STOLE MY CONDOLENCE FLOWERS FOR MY FRIEND WHO HAD A MISCARRIAGE!!!!!!!!! I wish I could put ZERO stars! LOOKS LIKE IM NOT THE 1st PERSON TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH THEM! First off I ordered around 4pm on Thursday evening I was expecting the delivery to be Friday, the girl behind the counter asked if I wanted delivery that day, I said sure if thats possible. This guy comes out of the back very nasty and say's delivery will not be done today because the truck is getting ready to leave. That was fine with me since I originally expected Friday Delivery,after I paid and was ready to leave he says that he will hold the truck and deliver that night. So that means he had to rush my order because it had to be made it wasn't a ready made one. Guess what it wasn't delivered that night and when I called in the morning they said they had just delivered it. ( not that angry yet cause that's what I expected all along) Turns out supposedly the delivery driver left the flowers in the hallway and someone else took them! Every time I called to complain the story kept changing, First it was left in the hallway downstairs then it was left outside the apartment door. Who leaves flowers in a hallway of a multi family apartment building! They were so rude on the phone very very nasty and refused to give me a refund or replace the order since according to them it wasn't their fault! My friend was at home this entire time and I even provided them with her telephone number so I dont understand how this could happen. I HATE THIS PLACE THEY RUINED MY DAY AND I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! read more

My experience with International Florist was horrific. On the morning of my wedding Manny, the owner yelled at me over the phone, threatening to take the all the bouquets back that his team was delivering if I didn't pay the bill in full. The problem was that the night before the venue called to tell me the table clothes I'd ordered from the florist were purple instead of gray. I asked him if I could pay him the difference of the table cloths (only $120!) after my father went to the venue to see if the table clothes color was fixed since I couldn't get in tough with the venue, he refused. They never did get the order right and if it weren't for my venue I would have had 1/3 gray and 2/3 purple table clothes. I'm not the girly girl who freaks out about everything but with the emotion of the day and this man screaming at me I cried, I couldn't believe he would treat his customer like that on such an important day, I don't want to think how he treats customers who need flowers for a funeral. I didn't let it ruin my day, I refused to but, I urge all future brides to reconsider when working with International florist. They were very nice the first time we meet (his brother is much nicer, but turns out he's just a puppet) but overall they were very unprofessional. read more
