One of the best parts of the event was how they introduced the elite runners. They turned the lights off in the arena, announced each athlete individually, and they ran out onto the track with sparks shooting up. That whole presentation was fire and really made the moment feel special for the athletes and the crowd. The atmosphere was great and you could feel the excitement in the building. My only complaint is about some of the staff (not all). I had been sitting in a section for over four hours after being told by one worker that it was fine to sit there. Later on, a few other workers came over and told me I had to move. It wasn't even the request that bothered me--it was the way it was delivered. When you're dealing with adults, especially paying guests who've been there for hours, it's all about how you communicate. At one point it felt like they were all teaming up like Voltron instead of just getting a supervisor to clear things up. Situations like that can easily be avoided with better customer service and communication. Needless to say I didn't go anywhere until my daughter ran off the principal. Aside from that situation, the event itself was great. The competition, the energy in the building, and the way they highlight the elite athletes made it a really memorable experience.

With that being said, I have been to many of the basketball games and I would say the Rutgers environment makes for a great atmosphere, full of energy and volume especially for the basketball games (and especially since they've been winning at home). The student section offers pretty good seating and it houses the loudest section for sure, with the band playing right there as well. The other bleacher seating offers pretty good views until the 300s. Also, once you get to the 300s there is no back support (if that's what you're looking for). There is a number of concession stands around the arena with multiple food and drink options. I would say there should probably be more bathrooms since the lines can get ridiculously long during games. When judging the RAC on its own, it's pretty a good arena. However, compared to its Big Ten rivals, it has a lot of room for improvement and hopefully, they get an upgrade with the recent surge in basketball relevance.

Camera crews were all over the park put kids on the big screen. Lots of on field games and fun for kids. I have only one suggestion on what to avoid, the funnel cake. I had two friends get it. They drop it into a fryer frozen. It is not a normal Funnel cake. It was so hard you couldn't eat it Thank you the suite crew for the hospitality. It really was a wonderful experience.

Alongside these sit Colbie's Southern Fried Chicken and Boomer's BBQ. If none of that calls to you there are still the old standards. Hot dogs. Pretzels. Popcorn. Nachos. The ballpark classics are covered. There is even a picnic area down the left field line for groups who want baseball and burgers in equal measure. The ballpark is easy to get to. First visit and a time was had…read more Landed at EWR from LAX and went straight to the venue. I was both tired and hungry. I was with my sister and nephew who both come here often so I had zero worries. We parked at a small lot which I think was under a bridge of sorts. It was fairly empty and cost less than parking at the stadium. The walk over was under 5 mins. Double score. The Red.Bulls ended up winning over Washington. It was a great game despite the sweltering heat. We were on the first row, to the side of the goalie, but on the opposite side of the home team where all the fun stuff was happening. I noticed during the halftime show that all the fun activities were happening on the other side. Leaving for us was a breeze since we weren't fighting all the other folks exiting. So many cars were honking at the folks cutting them off. The sun had just set as we walked out of the stadium. What a sight to behold. The only concern for me is that their food selection was limited.

The stadium was clean and nice The reason for the 3 stars was that the parking situation and leaving was horrendous . I was stuck in the parking lot for over and hour trying to get out . Other than that area is congested so understandable that there was traffic but the parking lots by the stadium are so poorly managed . Parking lot was gravel/ rocks and areas with flood puddles . And One exit out ? Dangerous and horrendous . One of the reasons why I may never come back to this venue unless I figure out another way that is easier to park and leave . Again I came because of my favorite group was play in here and no where in the area this year.

I worked here for 5 of those 30 years and I believe it was either the first or second day that BSA opened that I started. I worked here as an arcade attendant, skate guard and even helped out with parties. If I could tell you some of the crazy stories and secrets, I would, but I don't want to put them in this review. I ended up leaving when they wanted me to start helping with construction, something I had no experience doing nor was I looking to start doing. The good news is I made many friends from here, that I still see or talk to today. Including my very first hockey coach and one of my old (and first) managers! My best experiences there were with the hockey leagues, in particular the youth leagues. They are ran very well and continue to be ran well from what I can gather. There is a lot of focus on these leagues because that is where the money is, so the kids get priority on ice time as well as a lot of focus on improvements of skills on the ice. I did spend 10 years there in the adult leagues, some times were good and some times were bad. We eventually moved our team when games were getting too late and the league director kept giving us a schedule 3 months at a time instead of a full season schedule, which is what we needed. From what I hear, they addressed this by now splitting up the "Winter Season" and you are getting less games for a full season but an extra season out of it. The one thing we did enjoy was the number of games and double elimination playoffs. The last league director who we dealt with, Brian, was very fair and a good guy. He moved on. I'm not sure who is the director now, but last I heard it was the same one who ran Flemington a few years ago and he was fairly good as well. So you are probably getting a fairly organized adult league. Our biggest issues were with the abusive referees and the horrible ice. We literally had referees that no other rink wanted (they were banned from those rinks and one was even a college level ref that was also banned from doing Princeton games) that called penalties on one of our players because "He was black and didn't belong on the ice". This infuriated us and when we brought it up to BSA management, they shrugged their shoulders and told us to talk to USA Hockey about this. Our other issues were with the ice. We loved the blue rink but the red rink would fall apart every 2-3 years and would need to be re-done as such. They could never figure this out. A few of us broke skates and skate blades because the ice actually got down to the surface. It was pretty bad (This also happened to me while public skating). The small rink (what was known as the orange rink) was fantastic. I always enjoyed some personal time on there, be it for myself and a friend or with my teammates. I did like the pro-shop there because often times, I'd find a stick or something else I needed that other local shops would not have. Plus their skate sharpening was always done right for me. I'd often go out of the way for this and only come to BSA. Arcades remain outdated last time I was there. I was surprised to see so many arcades still there from the 90s and also surprised to see how many were out of order. Most of these used to be easily fixable back in the day. I never did experience the laser tag but I heard it's pretty good, so give this a shot if you have a party there. As for the food, I wasn't a fan of "Villa Pizza" or whatever they call it now. Most of the food was sitting out there for a while, though if you timed it just right, you may have gotten a nice and greasy re-heated pizza that would taste fresh. Perhaps the chocolate cookies are still fresh, that was about my extent of what I'd eat at that place. If you were going public skating or doing open hockey, I'd strongly suggest that you call ahead of time and just make sure you know the correct times for each of these! Also, for public skating, bring your own skates. The skate rental skates are hit or miss. Some of them have been there for many years! I'd say an average review is about right for BSA. There's good and there's bad. Overall, I don't regret any time spent there and maybe one day I'll be back for a skate or visit.

My experience with the Rockets Hockey Club was extremely disappointing…read more In spring 2025, I paid more than $9,000 for my son to play goalie on the 2025-26 Junior Elite team. The team practiced only six times between September 2 and September 11. On September 15, my son was notified by text that the season was canceled. I received no explanation and initially received little communication from the organization. Despite my requests to stop payments, another tuition payment was processed. After weeks of emails, I was eventually offered a $6,000 refund. I attempted to negotiate a more appropriate refund but was told to accept it or leave it. When I indicated I would pursue legal action, the owner, David Gibson, responded by email with a list of people he characterized as "lawsuit losers." I subsequently filed a Special Civil Part case and received a default judgment. The defendants later moved to vacate the judgment. During that process, their attorney negotiated a settlement with me. We agreed on an amount, and I was told the agreement would be held in escrow until payment was received. I never received the agreed payment. The default judgment was subsequently vacated, leaving me to pursue the matter again. I have also personally spoken with three other families from this team who say they did not receive refunds. This review reflects my personal experience and is based on emails, payment records, court documents, and other records I have retained. I encourage anyone considering the Rockets to carefully understand the financial and refund terms before committing. I'm looking into additional legal actions. We attended the inaugural home game for the Trenton Ironhawks, which was predictably sold out, and had a terrific time. The arena is scaled nearly perfectly for ECHL hockey. Even with more than seven thousand people packed inside, the bowl never felt claustrophobic. Our seats were four rows off the ice, comfortable enough, and offered unobstructed sight lines to the action. Even the upper level sits close enough to feel extremely connected to the game. Parking on arrival was painless. We prepaid for Lot 4, which involved an easy five-to-ten-minute walk to the entrance. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the concessions team seemed to believe they were catering the Stanley Cup Final rather than a minor-league hockey game. I had hoped the venue might borrow a page from the Trenton Thunder ballpark playbook by offering creative, locally rooted, and reasonably priced food options. Instead, we got Sysco-tier fare priced for Wall Street executives. It was a disappointingly jarring mismatch when a local venue has an easy opportunity to make game night feel distinctively Mercer County. Getting out afterward was an entirely separate expedition. Cass Street and Route 206 both dissolved into a gridlock of random street closures and drivers trying to remember where they parked. Getting seven thousand people into a building is one challenge. Getting them all home safely appears to be an entirely different sport. Still, the arena itself is a great physical fit for the Ironhawks, and the energy during that opening night was electric. With a few adjustments to the concession menu and postgame traffic control, CURE Insurance Arena should serve the team well for years to come. Someone just needs to remind the concession stands that this is ECHL hockey, not Game 7 of the NHL playoffs. The pricing has already made the jump to the big leagues.

The roads are narrow and driving to the parking area Takes a long time... very expensive too.. had to park a mile away and walk from there.. Seating was narrow.. You cannot move to the left or right and you have to sit stand still. View to the stage was actually OK... seat numbers we're so confusing.. 216 row 1-4 wasn't from 216 . U had to throw 215 and then come down ! It was wierd . All snacks and drinks were super expensive inside... water bottle set for 7$ and a beer for 16$ !!!!! Yes u heard it right ! 16$ ! Absolutely overpriced ! Going in was also such a pain. Security guards don't allow handbags ! Nowhere in the world I have seen handbags not allowed ! And they do t give any valid reason ! We had to throw away any food items (which is ok) but the handbag not allowed was attrocious ! We had a good show though. Loved the concert ! Will never go back to any show here !
