Very annoying and uptight owner. Wouldn't let us have our audience watch the match out of "fear…read morethey may get hit by a tennis ball" and kept trying to micromanage us even in which side to walk to the court.

Very unprofessional and disrespectful staff. Recommend you stay far away from this poor…read moreestablishment. Owners Marcy and Ed Poole are petty, small people, and act with an attitude of entitlement and no care or appreciation or respect for customers. On top of that, as if that wasn't enough, before they acted inappropriately and disrespectfully to me and my family for the last time, my daughter who went there for years in the training clinic did not improve much due to their instructors' poor quality teaching and lack of organized teaching. They play, but do not learn or teach anything. It's more babysitting than tennis instruction. This place should not be patronized, and based on all of the other 0 star and 1 star reviews, apparently a lot of people agree this place is bad. Why go to a place where the staff doesn't treat their customers with any respect or appreciation? There are plenty of other tennis centers in the area and we've happily moved to another one. If people read this negative review and choose not to go there, as they want real proper tennis instruction, and don't want to be treated this way, maybe Marcy and Ed will start to act like proper business owners see their abhorrent behavior has consequences and they'll lose business to other local tennis centers that deserve your business and teach tennis well. I can't wait to see this place go out of business.

Warren Health & Racquet Club - Medieval torture device ... I mean exercise machine

I use only the fitness part of the club - no tennis or racquetball. It is appalling. The…read moreabductor/adductor machine has been broken for months. On most of the machines, the weight labels have worn off, so you don't know how much weight you're using. The women's locker room is also appalling. NONE of the toilet stalls can be latched. NONE! As for the hot tub and sauna, I've been a member for over 20 years and I've never seen them operational. I'm still using this gym because it's so close to home that I don't have any excuse for not going!

Warren Health & Racquet has been around for ages. And most of it looks that way…read more As you approach the entrance, there is a stained glass window that has a tennis player on it...with a 70s haircut and knee high white socks. The interior keeps with this theme. The best feature of the club is the indoor tennis facilities, which are kept up very nicely. If it wasn't for the excellent condition of the tennis courts, I'd rate it 2 stars. There is a pro shop, where you can get racquets restrung, buy balls, racquets, clothing, shoes, etc. The gym... is ancient. Some of the workout machines are so old they look like medieval torture devices. I kid you not. This place is also popular because they have several racquetball courts. Unfortunately, several of the courts are open at the rear wall or the upper sides. It can be frustrating when your game is interrupted by your ball leaving the court and bouncing into the gym or a neighboring court. They are one of the only places around that allow you to pay-to-play, rather than have a membership, so I still use the place often. The locker room reminds me of a 1960s high school. I won't shower here, and the thought of using the hot tub is laughable. The staff has always been helpful, and very nice. This could be an excellent place if they invested in modernizing.

Our experience with Inman was great overall. We came for a reunion and everything was accommodated…read morejust how we expected it to be. The room that we stayed in was to my (our) surprise, pretty tiny and cramped as it was hard to move around, especially since there were a lot of people. Not too big of a deal, but do take caution. It was well-organized where we stayed, which is all that matters. There are a lot of sporting activities to offer, such as basketball in one room, hockey which includes ice and roller skating as well, and an indoor field that holds baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and even frisbee as well with even more names to list. There are many sporting activities to do here, and this is the place to come for get-togethers and/or just to hang out. Overall, a great place to visit. I hate this place for playing roller hockey. Nothing works here including the refs. The most…read moreunprofessional run facility I have ever been to. There was one time during a hockey game that a ref was sitting down eating during a game instead of out on the rink. I yelled over and asked him to ref the game he was paid to do and he proceeded to curse back at me with a lot of foul language. He still works there. Management is constantly contacted and nothing changes. This week a ref offered to get me a chair while I walked past him. He was only able to do that because he was standing in the penalty box on his cell phone while the puck was in play. I replied I want you to ref I don't want a chair. They are paid $25 for 40 mins of socializing, eating, and just skating away from a game in play. During the same game the other ref was hanging on the goal post the entire game talking with the goalie and not paying attention to the whole game. I have never seen a place that is a free for all for the employees and they have no manager around making sure they are doing what they are supposed to do. As long as they collect the money from all the teams the facility is still left in the dirty run down condition that it has been in for years. Hundreds of dollars taken from each team and they cannot afford to fix the score board so you can read the numbers? Several bulbs are out and just left without repair.
