Came here for Penn State. This is a nice stadium. The concourses were a little narrow but very navigable and I had little trouble finding my seat. The views of the field were phenomenal, and the bleachers were surprisingly comfortable and spacious. Although it's obvious the stadium was expanded over the years everything fits together perfectly. Be ready for fireworks, a canon, and a train horn throughout the game. My only complaint was that there were only two people taking tickets at my gate. One more thing if you choose to park at Jersey Mike's Arena be ready to take a shuttle and add another hour to your trip.

They now sell Beer inside the stadium. Yes, they sell beer. High Point Solutions Stadium is where the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers University play football, or attempt to play football. The stadium is really not that spectacular after what they spent to build it. For instance the seating is just cold, uncomfortable aluminum planks. The view from almost every seat is good and it is well lit at night. Seats are available at the game since they don't often win against the Big Ten teams they play. They can't seem to win no matter how much money is spent on them. Enough bashing the team. The reason to go is for the experience. Many hours before the games start, the fans arrive for the tailgate party ritual in the parking lot. As soon as a row is filled with vehicles, the tents spring up and the grills begin to smoke. Adult beverages are permitted. Portable restrooms are provided as are trash bags. Workers gather all the trash bags during the game so they are not in the way of your exit. The games are fun with lots of crowd involvement, cheering, cannons and a mascot. Don't bring your children if they've never been exposed to the adjectives of a slightly drunk disappointed fan. The food and beer is pricey but good and expect to wait on line. There are plenty of restrooms inside and wide ramps to handle the mass exodus at the end of the game. Pack your cooler, stuff your friends and a folding table into your car and come to High Point Solutions Stadium for a party and some college football.

An okay stadium, but nothing special. Even though the first college football game was played by Rutgers the team did little to nothing to capitalize upon that. Just parking at this stadium is awful. First, you can't walk to the stadium as it is off the "main campus." Second, the "Tan lot" that they recommended I park in was a 25 minute walk from the stadium. I feel genuinely bad if someone has a disability and wants to go to the Rutgers Football games. They lack signage, but they do have "sheriffs" who wear neon vests who truly help you out. The stadium was packed with just 30,000 people. First, you could barely walk around in the concourse or aisle without a giant jam. It took me over 15 minutes to walk about a total of 5 sections during halftime. The bathrooms and concession stands were packed with unbelievable lines. However, it was a sellout as #8 Penn State played. Therefore, we flocked over. With the long lines it appeared as if the concession stands couldn't get any worse...but it did. The food was bland and obviously heated up. My burger was bland, dry and chewy. My soft pretzel was horrible, too. It was dried out and tasteless. The seats were bleached style. They literately kill your back and bottom as they are hard and kind get COLD! The fans here can get really obnoxious. They will constantly curse at opposing fans including children, some of the girls won't wear pants and they even throw trash and baseballs on the field and at opposing players. They only have Jumbotron so I was forced to rubberneck, but it was not too big of an issue. Finally, they have a cannon they use after big plays, but they do not warn people before the game. That is a huge issue for me as I have sensitive hearing. The best part was when #8 (and moving up) Penn State got the W. 39-0. WeAre

I've had season tIckets for the Rutger's football for many years. I really love college football. It's always about the true love of the game as well as the kids at Rutgers. We used to love to tailgate and still do at Met Life Stadium but we figured out a fantastic way to enjoy the pre-game as well as an easy way to get in and out of the area which can sometimes be a bit of hassle with 50,000 fans. I park either at the public garage downtown (near the train station) or at the Hyatt. parking lot and it is usually $7 or less. For games that start at 12 noon, we go to the Hyatt for breakfast. They have a buffet or a breakfast menu to chose from and the food's pretty good. If it's a later kickoff, we go to Old Man Rafferty's for brunch. I usually have the steak, eggs and home fries. It's a pretty nice bargain for $13 bucks. After eating, we pick up the free bus shuttle near the train station which drops us off right at the stadium. We try and get to the stadium at least an hour before kick-off because the Rutger's band and cheerleaders (as well as the Scarlet Knight) put on a show near the stadium. They all march in unison and it really is a beautiful sight to see. It also makes you proud of being from Jersey. Oh, and our team is now 5-0 which doesn't suck, either. The stadium is a great facility. They have improved on it over the years. In one end zone, they have a giant flat screen that shows replays as well as the crazy fans at the game. The food is good with typical football fare. The changes that have taken place over the years are incredible. It is now a very very good stadium for Division 1 football. After the game, we usually wait in line for the bus to take us back to the College Avenue campus. The wait is probably the only complaint but if it's a sold out game, what else are you going to do? We usually go to the "grease trucks" on College Ave. My daughter graduated from Rutger's and she thanks the Grease Trucks for always getting her through her finals. She told me that when she needed a break at 2:00am, she went to the trucks for a well deserved break. These guys make the best tasting, greasy sandwich's in the world. The sandwichs come with everything including french fries on the sandwich. Most of them are called are called some type of "Fat Cat". Stop by if you have a chance. From there we usually go to Clydz's for a drink (they have the best Martini menu in NJ) and leave to go home. If you ever get a chance to go to a Rutger's football game and enjoy the many fun places in New Brunswick, don't pass it up...RU!!!

This is actually called High Point Solutions Stadium. It's small compared to the big football schools' stadiums. I think it'd be nice if the entire stadium had the upper level, but then again, it would only make non-sold-out games look worse. A bit of a pain in the A to actually get to the stadium if you don't have a parking pass. You have to take a bus from one of a few locations. I go to the RAC for the bus. Paying $20 to park and then take a bus is a rip off, but what are you going to do? Food options are typical stadium choices. Security is a pain but understandable - nothing bigger than a clutch purse or it has to be in a clear bag. Seats with backs are best of course. You can rent a chair back for the bleachers. The fireworks are a nice addition to the RU football celebrations at the stadium. Thankfully, bathrooms are not too bad. I come here to watch RU, but the amenities are a bit lackluster.

Nice Huge Stadium! Nice Big Parking for tailgating. Just get there early, I suggest 5 hours before the actual game to get a spot. There's Rutgers buses that take you there as well. If you live near the area, You can bike it there and should only take you 15 minutes. Park it in a bike rack across the stadium near the park. There is plenty of police officers before and after the game. So its pretty safe. There will be some rowdy kids before and after the game, but its normal. Bleacher seats are nice enough. If you get there early, there is usually plenty of seats for everyone. It has a nice huge screen in one of the endzones. My only complaints are the food could be better. They can sell more food other than hot dogs.

This is a middle tier major college stadium. It's clean and the food options have really improved over the years but unless the team is playing well you don't get full student participation. Very typical of major coastal region college football like a Stanford, Berkeley, BC, etc. Sight lines are good though be careful sitting in the lower deck just where the upper deck overhangs. It's a spill zone and rain flow zone. Note they do sell alcohol but only in very exclusive ticket holder bars. Personally I preferred the open end of the stadium when it existed but the noise level now that's it's fully filled in is way better. Parking I recommend either parking at RAC and taking bus or to park across the bridge and walk through Johnson park. Now even easier since the south end zone has an entrance you don't have to walk halfway around the stadium to get in.

For well over $100 a ticket we got to see our Buckeyes play in our area. The seats were fine and the stadium isn't huge like the Shoe in Columbus. We had eaten dinner prior so only had watered down not so hot chocolate and a warm pretzel. The security is somewhat understandable however I saw women with bigger purses than mine that were allowed into the stadium. Fortunately we were parked in Scarlet lot so I put my bag in the car and put items in pockets. I would only come back to see the Buckeyes play here.

One hell of a view from Section 207. Indiana at Rutgers, November 15, 2014.

Rutgers Stadium is actually a decent place to watch a game. IMO, its probably a better place to watch a game than Met Life Stadium since its so small and intimate. Saw a couple of games from the upper deck and once I got used climbing up the steep aisles and sitting in ASSIGNED bleacher seats, those seats have one hell of a view of the games. Even though its only a 50000 seat stadium, the fans can get LOUD there. Another plus is that the regular fans there are very friendly and will chat up with strangers about the game and the program. Getting there may be a pain in the ass by car since you may have to be bussed from the far away parking lots to the stadium. Even though you have to catch a 20 minute shuttle bus ride from the New Brunswick train station to the stadium, its easier to get there by train. Good place to watch a game and would go back this season. Hope they don't do much to change the atmosphere of the place or more importantly make the games too expensive to go.

Well of course my review is going to be a bit bias. After being a student at RU from 2002-2006 I bleed scarlet and spend almost every Saturday here in the fall. It's been fun watching the stadium go from sparse crowds witnessing a perennial losing team to sold out major college football Big Ten games. Sine the upgrade several years ago, the stadium (High Point Solutions as it's actually called now) seats of 52,000. They've made several improvements to the bathrooms (increasing the amount available) and concession stands (over the last few years they have taken fan opinion into consideration and added food options and overall amount of vendors). You'll still hit long lines at the aforementioned places prior to kickoff and at halftime, just make sure you give yourself time. Also, make sure you get to the stadium early - time it takes to get in has increased with the increased number of fans (that and heightened security regulations). They follow the NFL's policy on bags so ladies leave the purses at home and switch to a small clutch or a see-through bag. Wear Red to the game, be ok with people standing (especially on 3rd down) and make sure to bring your loudest yelling voice. When this place is loud, it's rocking! Go RU!!!

    Enjoying the game

As far as stadiums go, this was average. On the smaller side for college football stadiums, especially in the big ten. The heated bathrooms and the hot water in the sinks were a highlight. We had nose bleed seats and the view was still good. The pretzels we got at half time were rock hard and dry. The hot dogs were small and average. General parking was a bit confusing to figure out as we were bused to the stadium. They were only loading one bus at a time, so the line was ridiculously long. They could have loaded two or three busses at one time to speed things up.

Show listings here are limited to at most 3 movies at any given time and include new releases, old releases, and/or occasionally recordings of live events (like the Swift ERAS Tour which costs a hefty $19.89 for admission). The stiff auditorium seating and standard surround sound are adequate for shorter 2D movies, though I personally wouldn't come here for features longer than 2 hours. The lack of proper ventilation in the three theaters here become very noticeable an hour into any movie, when you can both feel and smell the stagnant body heat of 40 people seated in a closed room. The combined miasma of body odor and popcorn is so unbearable at the 90-minute mark that I usually have to leave the screening after two hours, if for nothing else than to use the restroom at the end of the hall before three dozen other kids try to do the same. There are some concession-related promotions from Monday thru Wednesday, but the only remotely bearable part of the Rutgers Cinema experience is the $5 admission with student ID (or $0 thru certain special events) which is primarily meant to cater to students with no cars, no money, and nowhere to go. For the general public, your local AMC or even your home theater system will be overwhelmingly superior.
