We registered right after we did the trial class. The space looks spacious to start off with and looked organized from all fronts - right from the front desk, waiting parents who were at the gallery to the little kids on the different swim lanes. We found the coach Ms Kim very kids friendly and knowledgeable and the pool and showers to be clean. The parking is ample since it's attached to a shopping mall.

There's a bonus offer, you can try a lesson for free then your first 8 lessons are 50 percent off. They offer classes for babies ( 3 months) to twelve year old kids. The students are walked to their lane 5 minutes before class then the parents can sit and watch behind the glass. The instructors we have had, have all been friendly. The lessons are 30minutes and there's a 3 to 1 ratio. After the lesson the kids can shower in the pool area then there's plenty of spaces to change. Great addition to the shops in North Brunswick.

Same thing even if there are 3 slots opens. Their team is unhelpful with bookings, rude, and there is no refund policy. So if you paid in advance thinking you were going to get makeups, think again - most likely, you won't have slots opening up for you to book your makeups at a time that works for you. Especially not if you're stuck with having to book for two kids like me.

She started lessons (which take place at the LA Fitness in North Brunswick by the old A&P) when she was 14 months old in the Tadpole class. She used to be afraid of the bathtub and hated taking baths. Now, she loves splashing in the tub! Taking swim lessons at British Swim School eased her anxiety about the water. We belong to our local pool and she LOVES practicing her swim skills. Everywhere we go, everyone is amazed at how much she loves the water. Our instructors are super nice as well. Edwin really knows what he is doing and his team does such a good job of working with the babies one on one. We can't wait to start up swim lessons in September !

So it started badly, as on the way in, I got yelled at profusely, and I mean really yelled at, by some old man telling me I was driving the wrong way through the parking lot - and he stood in my way to yell at me too. It wasn't well marked and was banal as nobody else was driving in the lot. Then when I got on with my cardio, the TV was staticky, and while the gym had some decent stuff and some fit-looking members, I have to say these are not great facilities and the space is a little cramped. They offer no towels, no hairdryer, and in general, not one of the best I've used. I'd give it a 4 if not for the fact that the TV, lack of towels, parking issues, and especially getting yelled at, all made me not enjoy my workout much.

He obviously did not pay attention to our conversations and recommended my child for his program that's from 7:30-8:30 Monday through Friday. As a working parent, that meant I had to get up earlier to get my child there for the program, drive home and dash off to work. I was willing because my child was very interested and I was looking forward to joining this community and meeting people. On 8/3/26, we arrived at the metuchen location only to be told the practice was at the Edison location. We dashed there to try and be as on time as possible out of respect. Upon arrival to the correct location, I saw a couple of what appeared to be 20 year olds. NOT ONE PERSON EVEN SAID GOOD MORNING! There were no introductions. A man, who later turned out to be head coach Adam Soural, seemed bothered by my questions (where are the locker rooms and what should we do before this practice starts) and then told my child to get in the water. Again, nooooo introductions or even a second to let my child know he's in a safe, community based environment, what he can expect, what he will learn, nothing!!! Not one adult there offered anything to say my child is in good hands or that we are welcomed into this community. I thought for a moment, maybe it's me, but then another parent showed up, upset. He also was not told the correct location and informed me this type of attitude is to be expected from Adam. At the end, Adam let me know the program was not the right fit for my son and told me aquatics coordinator, dawn Willemsen, would reach out. Here we are two days later and I have heard nothing. Even after emailing and expressing my disappointment in the lack of community the program has. First impressions matter when it comes to leaving your child with "trusted adults" THIS IS NOT IT!!!!! I would give this place zero stars if I could.

Overall, I really appreciate being a member of this gym…read more The cons: what other yelpers have already said-- the cost is very high in comparison to other local gyms and the other chains (Retro, Work Out World). The facilities are somewhat out of date, however, the staff does work hard to ensure that they are well maintained. The pro's: The staff members are awesome- trainers, front desk greeters, and most notably, the class instructors. I've been a member of many gyms prior to starting here, and was always intimidated at taking classes. However, starting at The Club, I was able to jump right in, take classes, and it was thanks to the instructors. Caesar and Celita are by far the best instructors that I've encountered- they have both the high energy, enthusiasm, and dynamic personality to engage a class full of people and keep them coming back. I've met great people within the classes, and it always feels like a group effort. I've also done my son's birthday party at The Club, and it was a great experience as well. The pricing for that was great-- I think we spent $150 for a birthday party, which you can't find anywhere else. My son had a blast playing with his friends, and the girls who hosted the party were engaging and enthusiastic. Overall, I think this is a great gym, and I'm glad to be a member. For me, I justify the expense with ensuring that I am coming to the gym often, and making full use of the facilities. If you're just looking for a place to pop on a treadmill three times a month, then no, this probably isn't your gym.

However, if you're looking for machines out the wazoo that are reasonably maintained and available with no wait PF's location in Edison works fine for what amounts to a pittance each month. Look, no gym no matter how upscale is going to do anything unless you go and use it. Are there poseurs here? Ya. Are there chatty hausfraus who constantly annoy? Yes again. But who cares, I have more money in my couch cushions than six months of dues here. Sweat is sweat. In my mind do it as cheaply as possible and be gone. Planet Fitness is what it is. During my…read moreregular visit, another member was aggressively harassing a young man, claiming he was "hogging" a machine when I personally witnessed the young man working on the machine for a short period of time. As the aggressor walked past me, he issued a direct threat, saying, "If you keep looking at me, I'll make you move, too." When I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, she immediately spoke with the aggressor. While it appeared she was attempting to mediate the situation with two individuals as victims, her main concern seemed to be continuing a conversation with the aggressor rather than defusing the situation by immediately asking him to leave. I stepped in after the manager spoke with him to advocate for my safety and the young man's, but she dismissed the threat as simply "my word agains his" because he denied making that statement to me. When I confronted the aggressor about his false statements, the manager raised her voice at me and told me to return to my workout. As I was walking away, I told her to do her job. A short time later she approached me and insisted I leave the premises only after I made that suggestion that she do her job. Ordering me to leave was extremely unprofessional, can be viewed as retaliatory, and made me feel deeply unsafe, as her demand gave the impression of preference to the aggressor over the victims. Penalizing a member for stepping up to protect someone else from unwarranted harassment and threats of violence is completely unacceptable. A gym must maintain a secure, zero-tolerance environment for intimidation and threats. Giving preference to an aggressor creates a dangerous precedent, and I hope corporate reevaluates its safety protocols and staff training on handling conflict.
