I passed my road test today and I felt much more confident on the road. I was a bit scared to drive. Sean really encouraged me. He was very patient and very friendly. He came to every class on time, had a plan customized for me to practice - I learned how to drive before from a family member so I was a bit more advanced. He really knew how to guide and encourage people step by step. Not like other driving schools that may only focus on how to pass the test, Sean taught me how to be a good driver in real life. On the test day, we finished earlier than expected so Sean took me to the licensing center and waited for me to get the license done. He's excellent! The other people in the school were friendly too. I took the 6-hour lessons and used their car for the road test. It was easy to schedule classes and they helped book the road test. Basically, you only need to focus on the learning, they pretty much take care of everything. I can't say how grateful I am! Highly recommended. read more

I spent my 6 hours with Michael Fischer, 2 hours per day for 3 days. Since it was my first ever time going behind the wheel I was pretty anxious going but he reassured me that everything was going to be okay and made me feel confident in what I was doing. Not only was he witty and knew what he was doing but he taught me so much along the way like parallel parking, K-turns, and just how to be an overall good driver. I remember waking up and being excited to see him again because I knew we were going to have a fun and amazing time talking to one another. I am mainly based in the Iselin and Woodbridge area so I got to see more of Edison and really adventure around. Sorry I'm getting this review in so late I've just been a little busy and don't worry I still haven't forgotten about you Mike. Took my first instructed driving lesson with David. At first, i was very nervous but i tried to keep calm and collected. We started off with basic seat adjustments and mirror adjustments, moved on to the dashboard signals and speedometer, and then went to using gas and breaks. We drove around the neighborhood very steadily, and made me feel safe and confident. I want to stress just how much David made me feel like I can drive for a beginner. Overall, David helped me overcome some small fears and anxiety, and helped me with the road test with what to do and what not to do. Super nice and friendly as well! My daughter and I were the other people in the office when this extremely rude young man was in there trying to fix his permit... he had a hard time filling out the form so the woman behind the desk was simply trying to help him.... I was thinking to myself that if he were my son I would have dragged him out if there with no permit... he was even rude to his mother which shows the type of kid he is. I had a wonderful experience with this school...he was just some 16!year old having a tantrum....news flash... you could have gotten your permit months before and then have no issues about your road test date. read more

This is my third time leaving a review on Yelp. for some reason they've been taking them down. I don't understand why? They just finished my third child and again they did a great job from start to finish.Lets start with the office staff that was very accommodating during this Covid pandemic.Our instructor Joe was very calm and he's instruction was awesome, the reason I know this is because he let me observe my daughter during her last half hour of her last lesson.I actually learned some new things about driving myself .Thank You,Edison driving school and Joe for a great experience. read more

Passed my road test today thanks to Shawn Devlin and Mike Fischer. I had Shawn for my 5 lessons and Mike the day of the test to do a refresher right before it. Both instructors were very kind and patient. I felt very comfortable with them and it helped me get over my fear of driving. If you're taking the road test in Edison (Kilmer) the driving school is right by it so you'll get lots of practice on the test route! It was very easy to set up all my classes as well. Super awesome driving school. Everyone from the first call to receiving my license was very accommodating and full of information. It really doesn't get much better than this. Working with Joe the owner also was a pleasure he really knew all the ins and outs of teaching driving. My 16 year son was very nervous to start his driving lessons. The instructor, Mr. Mike Fisher picked him up and assured he would be fine. At the end of the 3 day lessons, my son was very confident and no longer nervous. Edison driving school taught both of my kids how to drive and assisted with the entire process- from administering the written test to scheduling and taking them for their road test. The school is well equipped to teach all different students with many different learning profiles. The instructors are always on time, patient, helpful and made both of my kids feel comfortable. We went to a mediocre, slightly cheaper school for my daughters hours. More things went wrong then right so we used Edison for her refresher and test. What a difference!! Dave was the best! The school from the first contact to last was extremely professional and helpful. My only regret was that we didn't get to use this place for all her hours! Mike Fisher was a wonderful driving instructor for my daughter who has adhd and anxiety issues. Elizabeth was nervous at first my Mike was very patient with her and made her learning experience fun and enjoyable.
