This complaint is in reference to Dr. David Adams, a Urologist at the Southwest Urology Clinic in St. George, Utah. I have a huge issue with Dr. Adams who performed an Inter Stin surgery on me (a wire devise placed in the bladder and a battery to operate the remote control,) which was done on two different occasions in September, 2015. DON"T EVER USE HIM!!!!! I started having problems with the device: pain and pinching and began to gradually turn the settings down. After three months, I made an appointment to see Dr. Adams here in Cedar and I told him about the pain and suffering and he said it wasn't his fault, that I had the remote control and then he walked out.
Since then, I have Googled complaints for Medtronics (the Manufacturer) and the Inter Stin devise itself,) and was shocked that Medtronic has had four class action suits over the years, and testimonials from patients who have this devise and have has a multitude of problems with it, including wires hanging out of the vagina, electrical shocks at the battery site, pain in the legs and curled toes. Some women had everything removed because of the problems.
Dr. Adams never told me any of this, and sentenced me to five years of discomfort before I can find a Doctor who can remove everything (the battery is only good for five years,) I will never let him touch me again, he's a fraud and I am WARNING all of you ladies who he is talking you into having this surgery. STAY AWAY!
I feel exploited and not given the truth because of the all the money (20K) involved.
I don't recommend him to anyone.
