If you're looking for a urologist in St. George, Utah, St. George, urology is a place to go! These two doctors, Dr. Cope and Dr. Taylor have been working together for 17 years. They are the friendliest and most skilled urologist around. Not only do they take care of you during your process of seeing a doctor but they are very good at post care. If you have kidney stones, urinary tract infections, need of vasectomy, Have prostate problems, need a sling for female leakage, they do it all! Staff is lovely and the office is clean and professional. I've been to a lot of doctors and I feel like Dr Taylor really cared about me and my urology issues. St. George Urology is the BEST urologists hands down in the greater southern Utah area. I have been into their offices on several occasions and have received excellent care both from their friendly staff and the two doctors, Dr. Taylor and Dr. Cope and their amazing P.A. Dennis Mitchell. The facility is clean, efficient, and the staff and doctors give the best care I have received from a Dr. office. They have even given me their personal number in case I have needed help past clinic hours. Very lucky to have this caliber of doctors in our city. read more

Although the staff and dr were very nice, they had me go into a surgery for kidney stones knowing beforehand that I had already passed it and sent it to the lab. The Friday before I had my surgery I went in for some xrays so they could make sure there were no more and they found nothing! Yet, they still wanted me to go forward with the surgery. I believe it was just a plot to get money from me. After my surgery I was in severe pain and he told me he could help me by putting a catheter in. I assumed he was doing it for free since he admitted he caused some slight damage during surgery (which he said was not entirely uncommon). I had to get a catheter twice. I just received a bill from them and extremely bothered by the entire situation. SHADY! Chose a different doctors office. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I made an appt. for a vasectomy, waited nearly a month, went through a consultation, paid a deposit fee and the fee for the surgery, and finally when Dr. Cope came in to do the surgery, judged me based on my age (twenty five) and the fact that I currently did not have children. He then refused to perform the surgery based on these grounds. Now, if we are to say that those grounds to justify denying an elective surgery that I have decided to have after many years of deep thought on the matter are somehow justified (they are not), even still, I should not have gotten all the way to that point before being notified. I have been waiting on getting this surgery done to relocate to a new city, find a new job, and to have that disruption thrown in my face simply because the doctor did not feel right in performing such a procedure on someone young is insulting. My not having children at this point in my life should not be a disqualifying factor in the decisions I wish to make. People such as Cope need to understand that not everyone on this planet wants to have children. The decision to have a vasectomy should not entail "how many kids have I had so far and when should I stop?" If these things dissuade Cope from performing procedures like this, there NEEDS to be a pre-requisite form of some sort where this information is requested of the patient upon making the appointment, and provided to him and his staff, so that the decision can be made then and there. There is absolutely no reason why patients must be forced to wait extensive amounts of time after scheduling a procedure, only to get to the very point of having it done and being told "no" based on personal, subjectively moral assessments. My experience with St. George Urology and Dr. Cope has been a deeply upsetting one. read more
