This is a long over due review. Cannot say enough about Matt Dahlin and the staff at Crossroads,…read morethey are kind and compassionate, and we had a great experience. There is something so powerful in their therapeutic model of taking the boys out and giving them adventures. I so appreciated that Matt would spend 4 days a month with the boys doing something cool! Giving him the chance to see the the boys in real time - how they handled the things that they were experiencing. I feel it was a really great stepping stone in my son's journey - learning that he was capable, and finding self love. Grateful for our experiences at Crossroad and getting the chance to work with Matt!

Like most parents, we had never heard of a 9 month therapeutic boarding school. We had a fantastic…read moreexperience at Family First but went into the next phase completely blindly, trusting the success stories of other families who went there along with our therapeutic consultant who knew Crossroads was the best in the business. I talked to 2 young men, now in college, about their experience at Crossroads and they both assured me it was the best thing that ever happened to them. We were scared, had no clue how it would play out but 9 months later - it was the best thing that ever happened to us as well. We are incredibly grateful for our amazing 9 month experience at Crossroads. From the very beginning, Sam went above and beyond. The awesome staff created a safe, structured and compassionate environment for the boys to grow and build confidence. The therapeutic support was fantastic. We're still working with his amazing therapist Noah post-treatment. Watching our son grow over time through our family sessions was truly remarkable. He came home with practical tools and coping strategies that he continues to use every day. Tyson, the substance use counselor, has been absolutely incredible. His ability to resonate and communicate is on another level. Our son works with him as well post-Crossroads and speaks so highly of him. The therapeutic team has been remarkable. The academic program was personalized and ensured he not only stayed on track but he graduated a year early. Cindy, the education coordinator, is beyond amazing. She coordinated weekly subject and ACT tutors. She has helped us so much post-Crossroads as he applied to several colleges and needed various things from her throughout the process. Cindy is a true gem!! Coultin, the house manager, was super organized and a great communicator. He made sure our son kept up with his eye doctor, allergist, orthodontist, etc - along with coordinating everything in between. We actually ended up liking the doctors more in Ogden than here in Dallas - truly impressive! Crossroads helps everyone individually find their passion. There's something for everyone. Our son skied 45 times, worked out daily, went wake boarding/surfing and enjoyed weekly guitar lessons from Max G. The kids traveled to St George, Pineridge, Yellowstone, Lake Powell and even Costa Rica! Outside of home visits he also came with our family on international trips to Columbia and Italy. Watching our son transform at Crossroads - both emotionally and personally has meant the world to us. We definitely had ups and downs throughout but that's the only way to grow. The program made him stronger, more self-aware and ready to take on the next chapter of his life with clarity and confidence. We can't recommend this school highly enough to any family seeking a therapeutic environment where kids are supported and set up to thrive. Everyone was amazing but a special shout out to Noah, Tyson, Cindy, Coultin, Noah R, Max G, Garrett K, Tyler B, Max J, Nick R, Jake, Drew, Sam, Eric, Derek and anyone else we're forgetting. Everyone was fantastic. Thank you for making Crossroads feel like a home away from home. We are forever grateful.

The classes were very helpful and informational, and the instructors were good, I especially liked Dale. Funny guy. I felt like there was a lot more to be learned, but they covered the basics, and I suppose for a beginner's course, that's all that's necessary! Also, if you graduate from the class, you will get a card that will waive the riding portion of your motorcycle license exam through the Utah Driver's License Division. If you recently purchased a motorcycle, whether you are a new rider or have been riding for years, take a course from them! They don't just offer beginner courses, they also have advanced courses and more! They also have locations in Salt Lake City and Utah County. Great people, great classes! To find more information, such as class dates, times, locations, etc. just go to their website: utahridered.com

We were then tested at the end of the class. The second half of the day was then spent learning to ride! Our teacher was super patient and encouraging and really took his time to make sure we were safe and getting our fair share of one on one time. On Sunday, we spent another half of the day riding and were tested at the end. It wasn't the easiest test but come to find out you need to make A LOT of mistakes to fail the test so it's likely that you'll pass so long as you take the class seriously. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to ride a two-wheeler. I definitely have more of an appreciation and awareness of motorcyclists now and am so excited to get riding!

They actually threatened to kick me out or redo the class over for one assignment that I failed since my grade was already at 77%. The teachers kept pushing assignments back past the due date so my grade was suffering. Also at the beginning, they told us that we would have the same schedule throughout the program but the second semester, they switched us to Wednesday and Friday with clinicals on Tuesdays making some of us who has work change our work schedules. I don't recommend going here. Btw I love the online classes like anatomy because the teacher was working with us.

I have been through the admission process with another school in the area of Utah and was able to compare. WOW, I was so overwhelmed how much work and how confusing the other college (Nightingale) was making the process. I spent hundreds just during the admission process at Nightingale. Eagle Gate was a super simple process. My admissions rep "Zeke" was amazing and genuine and patiently helped me through my process. I highly recommend that you attend an open house so you can walk through the school and get a sense of the intimate classroom sizes, and high-quality skills labs, and meet the administration and some instructors. I am a type A person, and I was impressed by their organized, simple process. I am in Semester 2 and maintaining my A's so far so good. Steps how Admissions process works: Step 1: Apply online (Eagle Gate website) Step 2: Set up a call with the Admissions Rep for your interview (nothing crazy) Step 3: Meet with Financial Aid Step 4: Complete your FAFSA on FAFSA website, then complete registration and financial aid paperwork ONLINE Step 5: Study for pre-entry exam (TEAS), they send you study guides Step 6: Once you pass you TEAS, Meet with Financial Aid one last time to discuss financial options Step 7: Attend Orientation Step 8: Start your online classes for 1 year (After first year online, program moves into Hybrid Online/In-person classes) Classes: The entire 1st year is online using Canvas (something I have come to LOVE), Broken down by Semesters. Each semester has 2 sessions. Each session is about 7.5 weeks, Each Semester is about 15 weeks. Easy to go at your own pace. You do 1 week of assignments throughout the week. Then the new week starts. It's been great for my busy lifestyle. Is it expensive? YES! but if you qualify for a Pell grant or other avenues you can do it and still work part-time to full-time hours the 1st year or 2. Is it organized? YES! Is it quality education? YES! The online course information is great. Its a mixture between PowerPoint presentations, YouTube tutorials, and textbooks, along with some video lectures. Do you need to be self-starting, hard-working, and organized? YES! Would I recommend this program for people not already in the medical field? No, Unless you are that special kind of someone who learns very quickly. Would I recommend this program if you need to have your hand held every step of the way? NO! Nor would I recommend you become a Nurse.

They are charging $39 for a 15 min lesson. Thats almost $160 per hr! Wow! They even copied my military ID (that's supposed to be 20%) and I am still being charged the full $39 per 15 min swimming lesson. Called their office directly and asked if I can talk to the manager directly and they said they are on a retreat. I guess the managers are having a nice ol' retreat using our money to enjoy themselves! This is still on-going and it happened back in August. As of posting this, still no refunds, phone call, or even text back from any managers. If you need an easy stealing high money from customers and individuals, I guess apply for swimkids layton instructor! Complaints: - it's incredibly hard to schedule make up credits - they constantly change teachers on your which is hard for young kids - things get cancelled constantly which is hard for consistency - price is outrageous for not being organized My son barely learned anything here and I spent hundreds of dollars. When I moved him to a new swim school he was quickly back floating by himself, rolling over in both directions, able to swim to the bottom to pick up toys. Age of reference: he was 3 for the lessons.
