I was happy to learn that both Ogden High School and Ben Lomond High School have pools that are open to the public. Since I was closer to Ogden High, I swam at their recently renovated pool three times during my stay. The pool is beautiful, the locker rooms are very nice, the staff was friendly and the entrance fee is only $3.00 per visit. The swim team folks use the pool every morning, but there were lanes set aside for drop-in swimmers. The pool was open three times daily Monday through Friday and on Saturday mornings. Go to Ogden City Schools for the summer schedule. Ogden, you should be proud of this facility! OHS is a beautiful building and it appears to be very well maintained. Good for you! This Californian will be looking forward to many more swimming opportunities at OHS in the future.

Today I had picked her up from the last day of summer school and as we were driving off a girl (of a different race) leaned out of the back of the truck she was in and looked at my daughter and yelled "dumb b****"! apparently this has been thing that has been going on the whole school year. My daughter didn't want to say anything due to being scared of getting beat up!!!!!! This girl is a bully and my daughter's counselor was already aware of the bullying issues During the school year (this is what my daughter tells me) and all my daughter gets is a "well let me know if it happens again and you can come sit in here if it makes you feel safe".... Are you for real!? I called the school today to make them aware that I will involve the police and the school if there is NO corrective action taken WHEN this happens again. The bullying issues were not ever to this extent when I attended Bonneville. Its truly sad and pathetic that adults are too afraid to actually take care of and stop bullying like they LOVE to advertise!!! Bonneville High School staff, you all should be very ashamed that you preach "no bullying allowed" but are too scared to actually STOP IT!!!!!!
