This past week, Luis, Operations Manager, and his team of professional landscapers, Carlos, Armando, and Salvador, exquisitely transformed my yard into a beautifully designed landscape with the expertise of John, an expert horticulturist. John utilized his extensive knowledge to select the perfect variety of flora to complement my home while ensuring their compatibility with my home's soil and element exposure. The handpicked flora created a rich tapestry of color that complemented my home beautifully. All States team of professionals worked tirelessly and harmoniously and turned my vision into a reality. While All States Landscaping is primarily renowned for their landscaping expertise, they are also experts when it comes to state-of-the-art deck and water feature installations. Using cutting edge technology, my deck is seamless due to the "clips" used to connect decking together. The resulting deck surface is timeless and inviting for all family gatherings. I wholeheartedly recommend All States Landscaping if you're looking to transform your home at a cost comparable with competitors while exceeding all expectations. All States Landscaping is the best landscape company in Utah and their workmanship and dedication to perfection is evidenced by their commitment to customer satisfaction.

I was an HOA president for a small HOA of 13 homes and dealt with Kimball regularly for over ~2.5…read moreyears. I was brand new to the position and I had come into it with Kimball being put on as the property maintenance company so I didn't really know what to look for until I read our contract after about a year in the position. Upon doing so, Kimball was wasn't fulfilling their contract by: 1) not scheduling our irrigation system at all. I'd usually have to remind them to turn it on even. As a result of this, we had to replace about a third of our native grasses, shrubs, and ground cover. 2) they never checked the health of our irrigation lines. Again, they'd just turn our drip system on for the summer and that was it. The contract said they'd inspect it after every lawn mow, which was 1x weekly. As far as I could tell, that rarely, if ever, happened. 3) at first they were doing a great job of a now removal but by the end our ~2.5 year stint, they'd come out to plow our small private driveway about 2 days after a storm, which the snow would generally be melted by then. One time they even backed into our trash & recycling gate, broke it, and I had to call them about it for them to come clean. Only reason I found out was because one of the neighbors caught them in the act. On top of all the contractual troubles occurring during the first two years, I received the third year contract two months after our previous contract had expired and they tried raising our price by $100/mo. the third year. I talked to the project manager about it and we agreed that we should have a buffer year before raising the price. He sent me contract and I sent it back within the month. About 2-3 months later when I noticed I hadn't received a bill, I reached out to Kimball to find out that they had stopped servicing our property because they "did not receive a signed contract on time." This is all to say that from 2.5 years experience with them, I would avoid Kimball (and their parent company Brightview) at all costs. They did not honor their contract and because of this I constantly had to babysit them to honor their contract with us.

Fair prices. Got my sprinklers working in no time. I'm a happy camper. Even sent him a referral.read more

We are confident that what we chose with her help will meet our needs and make us feel more at home in our space. The showroom is thoughtfully organized with sections for kitchen counters, flooring, etc and there is good lighting so you can see everything well. We appreciated being able to see the different options in person with an appointment since sometimes how items appear online is not how they look in real life with regard to texture, shade, and so forth. The bathroom is pristine and the meeting alcoves have comfortable chairs. Overall we would recommend Carpet Diem!

We're looking to redo our fireplace, so I made my way to one of two Crofts (the other in…read moreBountiful). It's strangely tucked away betwixt a Tuesday Morning and a rue21 in a corner of Brickyard Plaza. The hulking shadow of the HomeGoods/TJ Maxx almost makes it invisible, if not for the shimmering flickers from the fireplaces inside. Great service! The staffer showed me the different types, gave recommendations on the kind I was looking for (actual wood-burners), and, in a shocking departure from the regular salesperson tactic, gave me pretty specific price ranges for my needs. She also gave me space to look around and didn't lurk over my shoulder. A+ work here. I describe Croft as an "Oh I like that one! Oh I like that one!" sort of place. You see a killer modern style that you like ... then a red-brick one that you like ... then a rounded frame one that you like ... and so on. You'll come out brimming with ideas. Still, Croft is a "full service" kind of place. They can help with material selection, work from your design, and give you professional design idea. Cast stone, brick, tile & rock, and other types of mantles, as well as the cabinets or shelves above (or to the sides). So, essentially, if you see something you like, you can get it, but if you don't, they can make it. You'll find the big brands of fireplaces: Valor (expert in radiant gas); Real Fyre (vented log sets); Fireplace Xtrodoinair (big on high-grade steel and glass, as well "Green" fireplaces); DaVinci (bringing sizes from small to the OMG of 21 ... you heard that right, 21 FEET); and Dimplex (very modern in their designs). I went in looking for a fireplace and may up getting even more! Croft has a great selection of burning stoves, including Lopi's large selection of wood- and pellet-burning stoves. If you want one of those brass burner fire pits, Warming Trends brags that theirs will give you "Twice the Flame, (but use) Half the Gas." It's a large, narrow store, with fireplace examples lining the walls all the way down. They must have 20-30 fireplaces in this joint. Croft Fireplace Center is a great place to start (and maybe finish!) your fireplace journey. As for my fireplace remodel, I'm just gettin' warmed up!
