On 4/15/21 Ortino Investigations sent a man to my home to serve a subpoena on someone who does not…read morelive there. In FL process servers are required to identify themselves, but this man did not. He became irate when I told him the person on the subpoena lives in Canada, and he began yelling insults at me when I told him to leave. He threatened to return and repeat the harassment, so I kept trying to find out his name so I could report him. Then on 4/20/21 his supervisor at Ortino Investigations, Victor Ortino, came to my door with the subpoena. When I explained that I've never seen the subpoenaed individual because she lives in Canada, he opened my screen door and shoved the papers in at me. When I insisted he tell me the name of his employee who harassed me on 4/15/21, he lied and wouldn't tell me. Any simple google search would have revealed all Mr. Ortino needed to know about locating the individual and then serving them the subpoena in the proper legal manner. How can you call yourself a PI when you can't even google the basic info, but instead prefer to harass the innocent public?

We then checked to make sure the check was not cashed because he did not do his job yet he did cash the check. After many letters and phone calls we still have heard nothing. I contacted the BBB for West Florida and they cannot even get a hold of him. So if you are looking for a process server I would not suggest using this company, that is unless you want someone to steal your money.
