MANAGEMENT WILL TRY TO DEBUNK THIS BUT ITS ALL TRUTH READ AROUND AND JUST BELOW OTHER REVIEWS FROM MANAGMENT THAT QUIT AFTER THIS TOOK PLACE I TOOK SCREENSHOTS OF THE ONES THEY REMOVED AND POSTED THEM WHERE THEY COULD NOT REMOVE THEM.I was the long term seasonal that was illegally evicted you have heard about!! Now its my turn to tell the real story. NOW my power was shut down during a heat advisory it was 90 degrees my camper temperature rose to 107 degrees while me and my dog were sleeping and my power was shut off just read the other reviews and you'll see this is truth! and I was rushed to the hospital my dog was taken to the vet all in an attempt to evict me and my family after 9 years of being here with 0 problems! Ryan and Josh were well aware of this situation and did NOTHONG to stop it I called them and begged them to make the management team stop harassing us all but it did not stop it took the police armed guards and a trip to the hospital to stop it all. The management is crazy she accused me of assaulting her and after the police viewed their own video tape she was removed from the grounds by her own people! for hitting me and taking my phone because I was filming one of her crazy rants I was trying to find out Who was responsible for sending me and my dog to the hospital. IF you value your family &pets beware of this place they have NO clue how to run or care for people the grounds are filthy the garbage in filled and overflowing the laundry room overflows and floods the pool is at dangerous chlorine levels because they don't know how to take care of it the kiddie pool is closed the game room and snack bar are closed the grounds are a mess the dog poop holder overflows with bags there are 0 amenity's here go elsewhere please for your own safety I have videos if you would like to see them just ask I will gladly share them all BEWARE and it is dangerous here. ALSO JOSH AND RYAN THE OWNERS WERE MADE AWARE OF WHAT WAS HAPPINING AND CHOSE TO IGNORE IT 100% TRUTH I CALLED THEM BOTH AND LEFT FRANTIC MESSAGES ON THEIR VOICEMAILS AND LETTERS WERE WRITTEN FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNERS TO THEM ASKING THEM TO STOP THIS MADNESS. i ENDED UP GOING TO ANOTHER CAMPGROUND AFTER THEY HIRED ARMED GUARDS AND POLICE WERE CALLED ALL THE TIME DUE TO HOMELESS PEOPLE USING THE BATHHOUSES AS THERIR PERSONAL BATHROOMS SERIOUSLY! Just look at the pictures of reviews that were removed below.....

We are right on the river/stream and it's been the most peaceful place I've been in CT, and I've lived here for 24 years I can't wait to hopefully experience more parks like this one! I've been a seven year seasonal camper at Branch brook. A new owner took over a couple years ago…read morewith new management. Over the past two years it has slowly gone down hill. The biggest problem is the workers from out of state that take up living there because it's the cheapest way to live while they are up here working. Now that's ok, if, and that's a really big "if", the owner and the management enforced the rules. Unfortunately they do not. Parked on the sites they live at, is their travel trailer or fifth wheel, Very long construction trailer, make shift tents, their cars and their diesel trucks. You will be woken up anywhere from 4 am to 6 am when they start up those diesel trucks. There are some management that live on-site and do nothing to stop any of this for the family's that actually are regular campers. two years ago this place was packed with LONG TIME seasonal campers. All have left but maybe 4 or 5 . Not for anything, how about a little common courtesy. I have asked the owner to please have them park where us real campers won't be disturbed at this hour of the morning. He kept saying he will have them park in a designated area so this doesn't continue, but that never happened. For the most part, they are nice people, I don't directly blame them. This is something the owner and management should address. The owner himself told me he has bigger fish try fry. Well those words speak loud and clear. So the bottom line is, If you are from out of state and come to Branch brook to live while you are working in this area, by all means, this is the place to go. If you are looking to camp with your family for a weekend, a week, a month or longer.....I give you heads up....stay away. it is nothing more than a glorified storage facility. Very pricey for what you actually get. Instead of hearing children laughing and families around the campfire making memories and eating smores, All you hear are diesel trucks driving around campground, car's being worked on, garbage all over the place and dog poop EVERYWHERE. I do have pictures to back up my statement in case you might be thinking I have nothing better to do but complain , but when you've made a life at this place for 7 years and now it's turned into this, it's actually very sad.

Reservations are…read moreneeded only for major holidays during camping season; Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. Must book the entire holiday weekend 3 days (90$ for non electric sites add $5 each day for electric). I believe it's 51 camp sites which vary in size and majority has electric hookups. When not going on a holiday it is first come first serve spots which is good if you just need to spend one night here. Pull into whichever site you want and at some point the groundskeepers will come to collect your money. It's deep in the woods of the park so there is good shade which is nice on the hotter days. The campgrounds have two bathroom facilities which have showers. No complaints with the bathrooms from me but I didn't use the shower part. The bathrooms are cleaned daily or every other day it seemed. Some spots are more secluded than others..and there is a bit of a hill to the bathroom if you pick spots 1-7 and 48/9 I think it was. Something to consider if you have mobility issues. There are water spigots around the grounds and attached to the bathroom facilities. But no actual sites with water hookups for RVs. The workers drive around the campsite every few hours and each time we have been there (maybe 4 or 5 times) the local police have made their presence known. No alcohol is allowed at this campground. Each site has a picnic table & fire ring. The sites are gravel/dirt & grass. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. We found the sites closer to the Playground side/closer to the bathrooms to be more noisy. Also those sites are closer together which would be good for larger groups. Have never had a problem with noise though we have only stayed further away from those areas. The playground has a volleyball net and other Normal playground equipment that I saw driving past it. There is no longer Boat Rentals at this park.. but there is a large lake to kayak and fish in. NO SWIMMING. The lake is a nice size and has a trail so you walk the entire length with benches around a good portion to sit and/or fish. There is a nice sized pond at the park to fish which also has benches around it. By the pond there is a nice picnic area with many picnic tables and grills. Another playground and a large pavilion. This picnic area also has a bathroom. There is a pond when you first turn into the park. The pond also has benches around it but not all the way around. Fishing license is require to fish here and they do come around to check licenses. This place is great if you want to just get away into the woods. Check the parks website to see site sizes before going or stop and take your pick of what's available.

The WiFi was great and the owners were very kind and helpful! Spots looked a little tight but we got in fine. Only issue we ran into was with water - the plumbing they installed is insufficient for the amount of people using the water (too small of pipe size installed underground). Due to this, the water pressure disappears during busy times of day (mornings and evenings). If you turn on your pump to supplement the water and just remember to refill the tank before leaving, you'll be fine. Overall, a great spot for a safe place to sleep.

We called a total of 3 times about this spot since it was "cash only" and the 3rd time we were informed we wouldn't be able to stay due to the spot being occupied by the previous party who had yet to leave. We were set to arrive at 4pm and were 4 hours in to a 6 hour drive and were forced to pull over on the side of the road in the rain to attempt to find last minute reservations elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere with a little more security instead of someone who just changes their mind and doesn't have the decency to call and let people know ahead of time.

The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.

There is enough space for it. I have also seen people were jet skewing & looked so much fun. Some of the ladies were saying there is an area where you can actually go to the water , I am looking forward to that next year ! If you live in queens , it's a place you definitely gotta visit . It took us only an hour by bus, so for a family gathering it's perfect. Kids were having so much fun.
