For the most part, I was extremely happy with my Samsung laptop. It was certified pre-owned and I bought it from an awesome eBay seller. Flash forward a year later (and long after the 90-day certified pre-owned warranty). My laptop doesn't charge and since I have two chargers it was easy to figure out that there was a problem with the port. I contacted Samsung and they instructed me to send it to Intelisol for repairs. I printed my shipping label and send it off hoping for a quick recovery. On January 31st Samsung sent me an email saying that had received my device. I received an email from Intelisol on February 6th saying I needed to pay them $50 for diagnosis and if I decide to approve repairs, that fee would be applied to my repair bill. After several back and forth emails I was finally able to get the diagnosis completed (by the way, they do no accept American Express). On February 27th the diagnosis was completed and I was sent an estimate for more than $600. There wasn't any explanation other than the motherboard needed to be replaced. I asked for additional details and didn't really receive anything except they had to change the motherboard in order to change the charging port. No, ma'am. $65 later ($15 for shipping and $50 for diagnosis) I have my laptop back. I'm still able to charge it, but only if I lay it on its side with the weight of the device on the plug and sorta sideways. Needless to say, it doesn't charge very efficiently and my gut tells me it can be fixed without a new motherboard. Oh, well. I guess I have a few decisions to make. In the meantime, I'll continue to borrow my friend Jesse's MacBook. read more

David K wrote a very detailed review regarding a production issue that has been the number one cause of repairs for the Samsung Series 9 computer, the power supply that plugs into the wall socket doesn't fit correctly into the computer jack! How stupid can a manufacturer be, to make such a blunder? I learned of the known defect after I purchased a new power supply that also just fell out of the computer. My wife had to hold the power cord into the defective power jack, or it would fall out. I sent my computer in for repair to Intellisol, and they either didn't replace the part, or replaced it with the same defective part. It was returned to me out of warranty. When I asked that Intellisol correct their mistake and replace the defective part with the corrective new part that they failed to install, they claimed to have found water damage, and they don't repair out of warranty products that have water damage. It didn't have water damage when sent to them under warranty, and it was working fine when sent to Intellisol, I told them I don't want them to correct any water damage, to please just correct their mistake and install the correct part. Our only problem was the power cord falling out of the socket, a known defect. Strike one. Then Intellisol claimed to have installed the correct part. Since the new power supply fit as poorly as the previous power supply, it was obvious that they had failed to do so. I do not appreciate being told something that is obviously false. Strike two. Intellisol then said that they would replace the defective part with the correct part if I agreed to pay $450. Meaning, that Intellisol (Samsung) saved $450 by not correcting a know defect. Strike Three. I had just bought a new power supply that wouldn't fit, proving Intellisol had not installed the correct part when under warranty. How sad that my reason for returning my newly purchased power supply was that the computer has a manufacturer defective computer power jack, Intellisol had failed to replace the bad part with the new part, so the perfectly good power supply doesn't work, . At least Samsung could make a power supply that fits the computer power adapter that was sold with the computer, if they aren't going to correct the problem. How can Samsung let such an absurdity ever occur? Strike four, Samsung no longer deserves my business. Shame on Samsung for making and producing a such a basic design defect in the first place, and then not correcting it. Shame on Intellisol, for not replacing the bad part with the correct part that fits the power supply, and then having the nerve to ask me to pay $450 to install the correct part, and pay for their mistake. read more

Intelisol inc is an authorized repair center hired by samsung. This company does more harm than good to the consumers, they didn't have to exist to begin with so that innocent consumers like myself felt extremely terrible and frustrated by their negligence and greed. September, 15, 2014, I called samsung due to my chrombook showed vertical and horizontal lines on the screen and samsung put intelisol in charge. Intelisol checked if my chrombook was still under warranty and they emailed me with shipping label and I shipped my chrombook to their facility in Texas. Right after they received my chrombook, sent me an email that says my chrombook's warranty has been voided because the screen got cracked and it's not covered by warranty, I suspected that it was cracked by UPS handling my package roughly and that was exactly that. I opened the damage claim via UPS and they approved to reimburse the damage. 2 days later, I got an email from intelisol saying that UPS rejected my claim because the shipment was insufficiently packaged with bunch of newspapers. I had no other option but to accept their judgment and paid for the repair cost which was $147.79 because I needed my computer badly in order to keep my business going. Intelisol charged me $147.79 on October, 1, 2014 and fixed the computer and shipped it back to me via UPS ground which takes 3 business days to get where I am. While the shipment was on its way, I got an email from samsung that says my unit is eligible for replacement and asked me to reply with an answer within a week but of course I had already paid for the repair and what do I do now? I asked them in reply. Next day, samsung emailed me and saying that my replacement offer has been canceled because the unit was repaired and I had paid for it........... I called samsung (Nancy Vargas was the person in charge) and asked why didn't you inform me BEFORE intelisol sent me an invoice for me to pay? She said, "I have no idea and all I know is your replacement offer has been canceled" not only her English was bad but explaining the reason was short and brief giving me an obvious impression that "you can't do anything about it" She didn't care about my claim and transferred the call to customer relations department and then 4 hours of nightmare began. It took almost 30 min to talk to someone at CR and when finally someone answered the phone, it repeatedly got disconnected for no apparent reason!!! I waited about an hour after 3 attempts failed which wasted my time for 2 and a half hour, when I finally got a hold of someone named Lee at CR, he put me on hold for an investigation for another hour and he said "Your replacement offer was canceled because you shipped the unit with full of newspapers" he tried to sound that it was bad that newspapers were not proper material when you pack your shipment and it is against our policy. I used to run my business named "Mail & Copy Center" for 2 yrs in La Habra, CA and I KNOW packaging, I know how to pack better than anybody in both samsung and intelisol and I filled with newspapers in a box ten times larger than my computer so that it won't get damaged inside the box, I firmly confirmed before I shipped the package and the computer was NOT moving within the box and it was surely tight enough. It is clear that samsung and intelisol won't want to refund my money and now they came up with very good excuse about the fact that I packed with bunch of newspapers which samsung (Nancy Vargas) wasn't even aware when she sent me an replacement offer email on October 1. This proves itself that samsung offered me for replacement because my computer was still under warranty and now they found out that the package was poorly shipped and rejected their offer. Lee at CR kept telling me that the replacement warranty was canceled because I packed it poorly and didn't accept the fact that I cared about my own computer and packed it with full-safe precaution when I shipped it out. Now they already got my money and not willing to refund it! It is very disappointing that samsung which I purchased THEIR product from, didn't even care about the fact that the third party company which is UPS approved for the damage claim but rejected it on behalf of me instead of accepting their approval and fix their customer's computer for free!!!! If samsung accepted UPS's reimbursement, everybody would've been happy but they chose to steal their own customer's money by charging unjustifiable repair fee although it was still under warranty! While I was in agony dealing with situation, I checked the company named intelisol, inc on the internet and they have REALLY BAD reputation for their poor service! Consumers are NOT fools! they know what they do and I do too! I will do whatever it takes to get my money back all the way through the court and they will end up paying extra costs. After reading other reviews, I thought I was never gonna receive my laptop back. Strangely, I suppose, my laptop was repaired the same day they received it and mailed it back (2-day Air) and it's perfect. It was user-fault damage to the laptop but they did not ask a thing. Repaired for free. Their communication is a little weak. They don't always answer their phone and don't always respond to email.. But the service was perfect and fast so I can't complain. read more

Very disappointed with this company. I had my still-under-warranty Samsung laptop sent off to them to have a faulty hard drive replaced. They expediently fixed it and sent it back, only there was now physical damage done to the laptop (like the it had been dropped or bumped on one of its corners). The box they returned it in was undamaged and the computer was securely packed, so it could not have occurred in transit back to me. I called Samsung customer service, who spoke with Intelisol, who said they received the laptop that way and "documented the damage", even though said documentation does not appear anywhere on the Service Repair Statement they sent me (it only indicates they replaced the hard drive, nothing more). The obvious fact to point out here is that any kind of physical damage done to a laptop voids the manufacturers warranty, thus making the free repair I received to be impossible. My conclusion is that somebody at Intelisol is either lying about the fact that they damaged the laptop or didn't follow company policy by allowing a laptop that arrived damaged to be repaired under the manufacturers warranty. I told the Samsung rep this and they of course hummed and hawed in the incompetent and infuriating way that only a customer service rep can do and said they were going to file a damage claim with UPS, which is ridiculous because it's not their fault, it's Intelisol's. I would not recommend using this company for independent repair of any device (especially after reading about other people's experiences as well). read more

They rarely return calls or emails and apparently have no concept of customer service or integrity. They charged me over $500 and retuned my laptop NOT working. Our Samsung chromebook stopped working after 6 months but was still under warranty. We spent an hour on the phone with Samsung in attempt to fix but to no avail so they sent us a shipping label & told us to pack it up & send (via UPS) to Intelisol Inc (which is an "authorized repair center" hired by Samsung). We carefully packed it solidly in a sturdy box & surrounded it with about 40 pieces of paper crunched into balls....then dropped it off at our local UPS. A couple days later, we received an email from INTELISOL. They informed us that our warranty was now voided because the chromebook was damaged! When we shipped it, there was not even a scratch on it! We immediately called INTELISOL to find out what happened & they offered to file a UPS damage claim for us. We absolutely agreed because we knew that we had shipped the laptop in "like new" condition & now they were showing us pictures that they (INTELISOL) had taken... clearly showing the corner of our chromebook was smashed in! The next day, INTELISOL notified us that UPS had denied our claim because we packed it in newspaper. *NOTE: The picture that INTELISOL took for the "USP Claim" also showed most of the packing removed from the box. - The damage to the chromebook was so severe that no type of packing could have saved it. We decided to "challenge" UPS for denying our claim. Firstly, UPS told us that INTELISOL had never even filed a damage claim with them for our chromebook. UPS then researched the UPS tracking number of our chromebook & told us that an INTELISOL warehouse employee had received our chromebook & had signed for it, with no damage to the box! We then found out that shortly after that, the INTELISOL warehouse employee took it to his supervisor to report the damaged chromebook! *We spent approx. 6 hours on the phone with Samsung, INTELISOL, & UPS. We even escalated to "supervisor/manager" levels. In summary: - INTELISOL obviously caused the damage to our chromebook. *Intelisol stated, "We apologize for the inconvenience, but, unfortunately, the notes in our system show that Samsung has informed you of the UPS damage claim being denied and that no accommodations can be made at this time." They were not even accountable for damage done on their premises! - INTELISOL lied to us about filing a damage claim with UPS. *Once we figured this out, they then stated the claim was actually filed with Samsung's UPS Coordinator (that person has no actual connection to UPS!) - INTELISOL offered to fix the damage, if we would provide our credit card number. There is NO WAY that I'm giving my credit card number to that company... wanting to charge me, for damage that they did! So, Merry Christmas to me....INTELISOL is sending the damaged chromebook back to me at NO CHARGE. Shame on Samsung for having this company doing the warranty work on their products. read more

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! Intelisol is a Rip-Off artist. I had a shorting charger socket. My Samsung product was out of warranty. Samsung told me to send it to this company. I wrote a detailed explanation of my problem and put it into the box with the computer. They told me they would diagnose the problem and get back to me. They called me and told me the repair would be $375.00 plus labor. I approved the repair. They sent the unit back and it did not work - I had the same shorting problem. I called and left messages -3 times. I emailed (You have to use their website email site. They do not provide any email information). No one returned my calls or emails. I called Samsung who sent me to a different company and replaced the socket, which was the problem. It now works properly. I expect my money back from InteliSol and they will not give me any refund. I love and have pretty much all the top Samsung products - 4K TV, several tablets including Tab S and Note 8, several Ultrabooks - Series 5, 7 and 9, several S3, S5 phones, all sorts of other Samsung products, but Im just so very disappointed at their factory service. My 2 year old lightly used Ultrabook was in storage for 2 months and wouldnt charge or keep a charge, and Samsung Executive Consumer Relations agreed to replace the battery free. Before shipping, all software was updated and I ran a WIn 8 Battery Report to document that the battery was almost at full capacity 3 months ago. It was packed in the original carton and then again inside another heavy box so theres no chance of transit damage. I got a call after a week asking for the password and later the same day to say they wanted to reimage the disk as they were having problems accessing it. I told them to backup what they can and that they were only supposed to deal with the battery. I just got it back and their paper says a battery and camera was replaced (all free). They also got rid of my $30 screen protector. Unfortunately all my icons, apps, programs etc are missing; apparently Samsung installed Win 8.0 with 4 drivers and Norton, wiping out all my Win 8.1 and installed software. I see some remanents of a program they installed - Panther, a WIN.OLD that looks like my old Win, several (but not all) of my own directories and a newly installed Win 8. When I boot up in Recovery mode, only the recently installed Win is listed (even though I backed up several times). After many hours on the phone to find out what happen, ECR says they are not liable for anything software unless it was factory installed and they dont retain images or any backups if that was used. Later a tech at Intelsol says their notes were that there was no reimaging. They say they are very sorry that this shouldnt have occurred but I'm still waiting for a return call from the tech that did the job as to whether I can do anything. Geek Squad at the Best Buy I got the computer from says its all gone, unless I send it to a hard drive data recovery service which will cost in the thousands. I was happy they repaired it for free, but now I'm mad I have an Ultrabook that can't be used unless I spend many hours reinstalling the software and reconstructing the data. All they had to do was change the battery and but they screwed with the harddrive in a way that any Geek Squad technician would tell you is just sheer incompetence. If they dont know what they are doing they should have called me or not just willy nilly foolishly go ahead doing what they want to get the unit out. Methinks their techs need more training and supervision. read more

So I decided to take a chance and to be honest, I'm happy with the service provided. I choose to personally go to the office and drop/pick my device. If zero stars was an option it would be the option I picked. My charger would not stay in the jack on my laptop. So I did some research and ended up sending it to intelisol. That morning, I used the laptop and everything was working just perfectly except that one charging issue. Couple weeks later I get an email asking to pay 119 for a new DC jack. No big deal. I told them to proceed with repairs. Couple days later I get another email stating thats the jack had been replaced but now there were further problems. This is the email i got: "PLEASE NOTE: Per the technician's remarks; unit behavior is progressively getting worse. after about 5 minutes the CPU fan will run full speed then turn off. now unit has no video and will shutdown in about one minute. when the dc jack broke initially, it caused damage to motherboard components which is not visible to naked eye. only after dc jack was replaced, and during use, the components started failing more and more. with dc jack damage you have the risk motherboard damage as well. sometimes issues will show up immediately. sometimes there is a delay. it is better the problem showed up now while unit is here, rather than you getting the unit back and it happening. will need motherboard and other parts included." That DC jack was broken for 4 months and its just a coincidence that after they open it and mess with it, everything breaks? I think not. Never again will I send anything to intelisol. read more

My experience with InteliSol was great from day 1 to the point where my laptop was very professionally send back to home with all the repairs being done in a very neat fashion. During the repair process, I asked them if they could do one more thing for my laptop and that was not the real reason why I have sent it initially to Intelisol, but, after a brief check of the system, they were able to order the products and did the additional repair as well. Everything was timely, informative (by Lisa- Customer Specialist) and I never had any major correspondence issues. I will plan on sharing my positive interaction with my close friends. read more

Extremely Pleased!!! I typically don't leave positive reviews for products or companies especially when it's for something I consider to be them just "doing their job" which in this case it essentially is, but given the fact that all the other reviews for this company are negative, I wanted to give credit where credit is due and perhaps let others feel a little less apprehensive about sending their products to this Intelisol depot. Don't worry I don't work for them and they didn't give me anything to write this (nor did they even suggest that I write a review or give a testimonial or something...might be why they don't have any favorable reviews.) When I first received my Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus I immediately noticed that the touchpad was defective (cursor would fly all over the screen, or only half of the touchpad would work, or the whole touchpad would just be flat-out unresponsive). Upon inspection online it seemed that it was not just me who had this problem, but it was by no means a "common problem" which worried me because I thought maybe Samsung would just think I was crazy or being stupid (I'd like to think I'm pretty tech-savvy). So I tried with the do-it-yourself software fixes (re-installing drivers, system wipes,....turning it on and off), but if any of these actually worked, it only only worked for a few minutes, so I was pretty sure it was a hardware problem. However I was getting ready to go to school for 8 weeks, and I needed my computer so I sucked it up, turned the touchpad off and learned to live with a bluetooth mouse (logitech, worked great). Part of the reason I didn't immediately send it in was because I looked up where it would be going were I to send it in and found generally awful reviews for the place (when I say generally I mean 100% terrible). So I decided to only send it in when I really would no longer need it for a few weeks. (That was about a week and a half ago.) The first thing I did, and I believe this to have been very important to the process, was I went online to the Samsung request service website and wrote a very detailed (and I mean DETAILED, probably pageS long) description of the problems I was having and the history of it. I attached photos of my proof of purchase and a video of the issue. Then I called into Samsung to request repair, (I had called in before about this issue, so they knew which transaction I was this time) the guy I spoke to said while I was waiting for my call to be answered he had read through my description and agreed that the laptop would need to be sent in for hardware repair. He immediately sent me a shipping label and gave me instructions about the box, I sent it in the next day (Monday). He said it would be 2-3 weeks until I received the laptop again. I live in Indiana and the only place I could ship it to be fixed was this Intelisol (in Texas). While waiting for my unit to be fixed, I constantly checked the service tracker to see the status of my repair. The unit arrived Wednesday and was repaired Thursday. However, the next monday the status had still not changed to "shipped" so I called in to see what was holding up the shipment. I explained that I was a student who very soon would be needing the laptop again, and the customer service agent put me on hold for about 10-12 minutes (I presume to speak with the people repairing the laptop) and she told me that the laptop was scheduled to undergo final testing that day and ship out. I found out later that the shipping had been upgraded to 2nd day air (I presume because I told her the urgency of my situation). The package arrived today, Wednesday. The outer package had a large "FRAGILE" label on the front, which I was thankful for. Upon inspecting the laptop I noticed that the entire base had been replaced, which I'm sure must have been a costly repair. And after turning it on, the touchpad was working perfectly. Nothing on the computer had been damaged, nothing on the hard drive had been touched. The only difference was that now I had a functioning touchpad. I know my success in this does not necessarily guarantee you success as well, but I hope this gives you hope that your unit may very well be fixed properly too! It is worth noting that this company does have an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau and one of the stated reasons for this rating is it has "relatively few complaints for a company of its size". So if you have a problem with your device, don't hesitate to send it in to them! read more

My Samsung Ativ Book 9 plus shuts down on its own during normal use like web browsing and word processing. I dealt with the problem during the last semester but it became progressively worse. I performed the normal troubleshooting steps like virus scanning and reinstalling windows to no avail. After contacting Samsung they directed me to Intelisol for repairs. Intelisol evidently couldn't replicate the problem, even though the computer routinely shuts off in about 5 minutes of use. Intelisol contacted me stating that they couldn't find any issue and wanted to ship the computer back. I called Intelisol because this simply could not be true. The woman on the phone made the analogy that sometimes computers don't act up once they're in for repairs much like children sometimes don't continue coughing once they're at the doctor. So, I went ahead and paid for the return shipping. I just received my laptop today and after five minutes of use the laptop shut off for no reason. I have continued to try to use it, but in less than 30 minutes it has shut off on its own 3 times. i don't know why Intelisol wouldn't be able to detect this issue if all I have to do is spend less than 10 minutes with the computer attempting to surf the web. I don't know what to do at this point other than throw the computer away which is extremely unfortunate considering I paid $1000 for it a little over a year ago. I will never buy a Samsung laptop again, if for no other reason, so I don't have to use their broken system for repairs. read more

Rip off artists. All I can say is stay away. They require a $50 fee for evaluating and if you decide to go ahead with repair, they will put that fee toward the repair. Problem is they won't tell you how much the repair will be until you pay the $50 dollars and commit to the repairs. I spoke with a customer rep and she sounded so nice over the phone and told me that the repair should be around $80, so I said "yes" to go ahead with repairs. I had problems with my Samsung laptop, which at first I thought was software-related. Ended up being a hardware malfunction (the issues got progressively worse). I sent it off for repair, and it came back at a reasonable time. However, the hardware was installed incorrectly, and the computer could not turn on without a bluescreen. I sent the laptop back to Intelisol, yet the second time they took almost two weeks to address the problem. Once fixed, the laptop was not shipped out for another week, leaving me without a computer for more than a month. read more

I agree!! Intelisol has had my laptop 4 wks. They finally left a voicemail that it needs a new motherboard ($326) which is BOGUS!!. The laptop symptoms match a faulty dc adapter recepticle. which I can get fixed for less than $100.I only sent it to Intelisol because Samsung issued the repair order for them. I just want it sent back! I dont want them to do ANYTHING. read more
