She agreed and changed her schedule to accommodate them. When she arrived, she was told the therapist would be male. She politely explained that she was not comfortable receiving a massage from an unfamiliar male therapist and asked whether there was any alternative. The manager was extremely dismissive and rude and made essentially no effort to find a reasonable solution. What bothered us most was not simply the ClassPass policy--it was the way my wife was treated when she expressed a very personal and reasonable boundary. Instead of showing understanding, the manager repeatedly blamed ClassPass and made her feel like she was the problem. For a business offering such a personal service, professionalism, empathy, and respect for a client's comfort should be basic expectations. Based on how this was handled, I cannot recommend this place.

I could hear a man in the back talking on the phone and I first thought that was my stylist, so I said "hello...hello" but no response. He continues to talk on the phone. So, I looked around the lobby for a minute and then took a seat. I called Quavis at 9:55 to let him know I was at the salon. He said he was on his way and was running late. So, I sat there for a few more minutes and a young lady arrived (another stylist) and she asked if I was being helped and I told her that I was waiting on Quavis and I called him and he stated that he was running late. She nodded her head up and down and reiterated that she wanted to make sure I had been helped. I thanked her and after a few more minutes (10:13am to be exact), I called Quavis back and asked how much longer would he be because I didn't know if I needed to reschedule. He said that was up to me but he was coming up the stairs. When he got to the salon, he grumbled "good morning I'll be with you shortly" (or in a minute...or something like that). At that point, I was not feeling this appointment! So, after pondering for a moment, I walked towards the back where he went and called his name (because I was going to cancel the appointment). He didn't answer, so I went back out front and removed my name from the sign in sheet. When he came back out to the lobby, I told him I'd need to cancel or reschedule because we were already behind schedule. He looked me up and down and said "well if that's what you want to do...". I asked him if he was ok this morning. He said yes. I said that I didn't get an apology or anything and told him I'd removed my name from the sign in sheet. I told him to have a good day and left. I was very disappointed because I was expecting so much more from this salon. I'm sure the owner would be unhappy to know that this is how one of her stylists treats new customers.

Not only did Darlene schedule the 2 different sessions 3 hours apart, but she failed to respond to my wife's text message noting the significant time difference. She then made her wait a half hour at reception just to tell her that she'd moved all her other appointments forward. We both took time out of our schedules for this, just to be refused service. Maybe their work is outstanding, we wouldn't know, but the customer service and communication is substandard, as such we'll find another salon.
