Megan is always fabulous with massage! I always feel great afterwards…read more The massage oil she uses is organic and my skin feels wonderful. I am pretty sensitive to many products but everything she uses feels great. I love that she let's you choose an essential oil she uses in a diffuser. The hot stones are a fabulous touch. We started the massage lesson with 4 other couples and it was so much fun! We took turns learning how to properly massage one another through her guidance an expertise. She made sure to show modified movements and different ways to apply pressure to make sure everyone was getting the best out of their session. The mood was light and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Such a great idea for an out of the norm date night! Looking forward to my upcoming massage with Megan! Update: I had the pleasure of enjoying a massage with Megan over the weekend. It was, without a doubt, the best massage I have ever received!!! Megan is very communicative and makes sure that you are enjoying your massage to the fullest. The pressure and the flow of the massage was amazing. I was concerned for myself for the drive home because I was a little too relaxed post massage!

I booked a "Therapeutic Table Massage" with Shannon Trudeau and had a very traumatic experience…read more When I arrived I explained to her I like firm pressure and was having issues with my shoulders and neck and upper back being very tight and I would like to primarily focus on those areas. The first 30 minutes of my massage were her guiding some sort of yoga nidra exercise with no actual massaging. I had to ask her when the massage would actually start. She seemed to have a huge ego about the request and continued her guided exercise. Once she did start "massaging" me, it was just her placing her hands on my body very lightly and doing static holds on trigger points. I explained to her I would Like more muscle stimulation in the form of a faster deeper massage but she didn't listen to my requests and kept doing the things she was doing that I did not ask for. She didn't pay attention tho the specific areas that I came in to address and spent most of the time on my arms and legs. She talked the majority of the massage and kept instructing me to take deep breaths. I do not come in to this for a therapy session which is what it felt like. The table was cold and so was the room. I had to ask her to turn the heat on the table mid session because I was freezing and her hands were freezing. She did not seem to have any knowledge of anatomy, massage, or draping. After the session was over she sat me down and wanted to go over her "findings" and it felt really uncomfortable having someone tell me all the areas in my body she noticed I was tight but not actually using the time I paid for to resolve any of those issues. I did not book a trigger point massage, a reiki session, or a therapy session. I mentioned to her multiple times I was not wanting the type of "massage" she gave me and she said that "energetically we may not be a good fit" - in my option this is such a rude thing to say to someone who was very clear about the massage I wanted to receive and requested it multiple times only to be completely ignored - probably because this person is not educated enough or capable of doing actual massage. This practitioner is borderline harmful and should not be practicing any healing modality. I felt disgusting after leaving her session. I felt completely ignored and judged. I debated weather or not I should leave this review but after experiencing this I wanted other people to know the potential harms of booking with this practitioner. Please remove her from "therapeutic table massage" because she didn't actually massage me and this is really misleading for customers.

Terrible customer service... false charges... no accountability... immature and inexperienced…read morestaff... and this is all before you receive a service. I typically receive private athletic massages from a certified athletic trainer at a private university, but two Christmases ago, I received a gift card to Hand and Stone. I wasn't sure what the amount on the gift card was, so when I visited the Durham location off MLK in December 2025, I was told it was worth $150, which covered two 50-minute massages. Great, I thought. Fast forward to February, when I looked to make another massage appointment. I called on Wednesday, Feb. 18, to confirm the card's value, and I was told it would cover an entire 50-minute massage. I also visited in person to make the appointment on Thursday, Feb. 19, and was told there was $50 remaining on the gift card, which would cover another 50-minute massage. On that day, a woman in a hijab made the next appointment for Sunday, Feb. 22, and I was not required to make any additional payments. I later found out I could not make the appointment and decided to transfer the experience to my sister. I returned to the location on Saturday, Feb. 21, around 1:35 p.m. to make the change. When I asked to make the change, the $50 remaining balance was brought up again. I politely explained what I had been told and that I was already booked for 50 minutes with no additional fees. Once again, I was working with the woman in the hijab. She went back to speak with her manager. Upon her return, she told me the gift card did not cover another massage and blamed the misinformation on another coworker, Sam. I asked what it covered, and she said nothing. I asked how much I needed to pay for a full massage; she stated it would be $79. Despite my hesitation, given that the previous massage cost $100, I paid so my sister would have the best experience. But the most scathing and inappropriate aspect of the experience was the laughter by the other employees upon my exit, exhibited by the woman in the hijab, the manager, another desk receptionist (both white), and a checkout receptionist (Black). As a marketing, communications, and brand executive who understands the importance of a company's frontline actions, this was an extremely frustrating and disturbing interaction.
