Upon my arrival at the laboratory, I sought clarification from a technician regarding the estimated waiting period. Her response to my inquiry was notably unprofessional and dismissive and said "can you read or count." With a nasty attitude. Despite this initial interaction, I proceeded with the registration process. However, the technician subsequently exhibited further unprofessional conduct. She directed disapproving glances and visibly rolled her eyes towards both myself and my father, who was present with me. This sequence of events created a highly uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. I felt profoundly uneasy and lacked confidence in the technician's professional demeanor, particularly given the impression that my presence was an inconvenience to her. As a direct result of these interactions, I determined that I could not proceed with the blood draw under those circumstances. Please be advised that the necessary laboratory tests still need to be performed, and I will be going to the Everett hospital to ensure their completion.

In my experience, many MGH IHP faculty members also practice full-time at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and many members of Spaulding's professional staff are MGH IHP alumni. Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions are a confluence of academic excellence. That said, I go to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown for the best salad croutons in the world--and the absolute best corn muffins in the world! All kidding aside, I recall hearing the directors of Nutrition Services at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital explain that they consider high-quality, great-tasting food to be an integral part of their patient's healing process. Those women certainly practice what they preach! I say that from personal experience, having had lengthy inpatient admissions at both Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital over the years. The physicians and clinical staff at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital are among the very best. I can think of several Spaulding physicians and clinicians who stand out, in my opinion, as among the best in the world. I wouldn't wish the need for physical medicine rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital on anyone. However, should the need arise, there is tremendous comfort in knowing that such exemplary, World Class care is available at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and here in Boston. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention how impressively well integrated my care at Spaulding is with my care at Massachusetts General Hospital. That coordination is yet another testament to the outstanding quality of care these two institutions provide. I don't know who it was, who many years ago, "accepted me" as an inpatient at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, while I was "pending disposition" to a Rehab Hospital at Massachusetts General Hospital. I remain especially grateful to that person, at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, for accepting me as an in-patient at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Lastly, I have many great physicians at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, but, I will never forget the physical medicine physician, who cared for me, during my inpatient admission at Spaulding, Dr. David Crandell. Similarly, Dr. Leonid Shinchuk, has taken exceptional care of me, over many years, as an outpatient.

Again, when I made the appointment specifying that I wanted it with my specific doctor, no one told me anything about her not seeing patients on Thursdays again I avoided months to see my doctor for specific things. I am only comfortable talking to her about. They were pushing me to see the other Doctor Who I was scheduled to meet with, and I had to repeatedly say I was uncomfortable. The nurse was getting frustrated and didn't understand why I wouldn't see someone who I have never met or even heard of. No not only could I not get a in person visit with I need I now have to do yet another video visit which defeats the purpose. I ended up having a severe panic attack and physically upset. To get into with the reception is a nightmare as is and clearly CHA MyChart doesn't book the proper appointment accommodation. This was extremely unacceptable. I went to our first session with very low expectations, assuming this experience would be like all the others. Boy was I wrong! Dr. Rose was instantly credible and I found myself revealing things to him that first day that I've never told anyone. Dr. Rose is honest, empathetic, and a true master in his field. His approach is far more conversational than the norm. Like many in his profession, Dr. Rose is a great listener, but like so few, he is a brilliant adviser.
