He just turned around and ignored me so I walked around and don't see any sandwiches, then I went back to the counter and call this guy over again and asked what can I have, I'm very hungry and he just pointed out 2 small boxes of pizza and 1 warped thing, and I ask him what's the warped thing, and he ignored me again. I just ended up get the pizza and that pizza was so f**king dry, took 1 bite and had to throw it out and the coffee taste like been sitting there from yesterday and that pizza, just like been sitting there for about whole week, and the person behind that counter just acted like a Janitor don't like to talk much. I am writing to let you know the unprofessional behavior that prevented me from completing my getting my lab tests during today. Upon my arrival at the laboratory, I sought clarification from a technician regarding the estimated waiting period. Her response to my inquiry was notably unprofessional and dismissive and said "can you read or count." With a nasty attitude. Despite this initial interaction, I proceeded with the registration process. However, the technician subsequently exhibited further unprofessional conduct. She directed disapproving glances and visibly rolled her eyes towards both myself and my father, who was present with me. This sequence of events created a highly uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. I felt profoundly uneasy and lacked confidence in the technician's professional demeanor, particularly given the impression that my presence was an inconvenience to her. As a direct result of these interactions, I determined that I could not proceed with the blood draw under those circumstances. Please be advised that the necessary laboratory tests still need to be performed, and I will be going to the Everett hospital to ensure their completion. read more

I was forced to see an incompetent nurse who seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in my concerns. When I requested to see a doctor for a thorough evaluation, my request was outright refused without any explanation. I was left sitting in a crowded hallway for three hours, surrounded by other patients, feeling neglected and anxious. Despite my well-documented disability, they denied me the standard care and reasonable accommodations I clearly needed. This lack of attention and care compelled me to file a formal complaint with the hospital administration. After months of back-and-forth communication and following up on my complaint, I was shocked to receive notice that I had been sent to collections for an appointment that was essentially useless. This hospital, which used to be known for its excellent patient care, has fallen into decline. The actions of the Governor, allowing the hospital to reduce staff significantly, have led to a system that feels more like a scam. Now, patients are met with overworked and rude nurses, and the limited availability of medical staff means only one doctor is on duty as a supervisor. The overall experience has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening, leaving me feeling abandoned when I needed care the most. read more

Medical neglect. Multiple incidents where I was stereotyped as lazy and rude, and prevented access to needed preventative and diagnostic medical testing and treatment. I was denied access to bloodwork, X-rays, and MRI that would have revealed onset of rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, and delayed access to needed DMARDs which would have helped prevent advanced stages of disease from progressing. Delayed processing of helpful medical treatment and assisted living supports. Resulted in additional misunderstanding and mistreatment by friends, family, and community due to non diagnosis and serious physical conditions worsening without medical intervention, creating unnecessary confusion and physical and emotional suffering for self and minor children. Marginalized and treated with undue suspicion by so called care providers and medical professionals who ignored basic needs. I've been called a baby making machine; told I was rude for requesting help; told to just come in and pick up letter when I could not stand or walk; told people like me need to just move more (when I have long history of physical activity in multiple hobbies, and when unable to stand, walk or move arms). Sadly the quality of the care inpatient and the ER has really decreased significantly.simce even a couple years ago .( Most of the professional best staff they used to have are gone now.) ) Either have retired or have left on their own accord. I'm not sure what has happened to this hospital but as a parent of a child that needs the er several times a month or year due to being norn with a rare syndrome I'm very sad and discouraged. THE Er staff are nice except a couple of nurses think they know better then the parents. After I told one nurse two years ago my child was literally allergic to a certain pain medication, the nurse came in and tried to force my child to take it ..Thank goodness I was there because there could've been dire consequences. Absolute scam. tried to set my 18year old son with a PCP, he had an initial consult with a doctor via a phone call. Telehealth visit. Pretty notmal right? Our insurance covers Telehealth with a menial copay ($20). This scam company billed $240 for a 45 second phone call. After an hour on the phone with my insurance company we figured out CHA charged my 18 year old son for an OUTPATIENT HOSPITAL VISIT. This is unethical, the billing rep was an absolute bitch and stated that this was the case and that I was the one who was in the wrong for even contesting this. HORRIBLE UNETHICAL LIARS these folks need to do the world a favor and go work for McDonalds. read more

A family member of mine was a patient of Dr. Friedman orthopedic surgeon. Not only is he arrogant and cocky but he is extremely rude and how he talks to his patient. He makes people wait three months for an evaluation and then another three months for an evaluation and then another three months for an evaluation to then tell a family member that well you have OK mobility so you can go back to work now, which now leaves my family member with zero workers comp, which means zero income coming in. I also do not recommend this doctor because the first surgery. My family member had it failed, but Dr. Freeman decided to blame my family member rather than blaming his own shotty work. My family member has been in pain and has been looking forward to getting the neck surgery to reveal the pain and get mobility back but in Dr. Friedman's opinion he's pretty much given up on my family member.. he's an absolute disgusting vile man and I do not recommend sending anybody to him even though he so-called claims that he's the best of the best. Arrogance doesn't make you the best. How you treat patience is what makes you a good doctor. He took an oath as a doctor to put patient first and he has not done that whatsoever. I had knee surgery done by Dr. David Wing orthopedic dept. this doctor ruined my leg for life. It was a simple surgery. My leg was internally bleeding and he had no reason why he botched a miniscus tear surgery. I remain in daily pain and they dnt care to give pain meds or to explain what happened to my knee during surgery!!! I went to Er a week later because pain severe. Hospital took pics could not believe he mamed my leg. My foot goes numb on me. He will not see me again but hospital took pictures of front and back hematoma including foot. I brought my 86 year old mother here, she was having trouble with mobility, falling down, undernourished, and increasingly unable to look after herself. While she received very good medical care, we also needed to find her a place to do physical therapy/rehabilitation and then a placement to assisted living. The real failure was on the part of the "social worker" assigned to my mother's case, who was terrible. Everyone I had spoken to, from nurses to people involved in elder care, said "the social worker will help you with that". When I told her what she needed, the social worker said "that's going to be a challenge." When I enquired about the PACE program (an HMO-like program for people on Medicaid) her sole contribution was to tell me to go to the state's website, Mass.gov. --Thank you very little! This person did not engage with my mother nor her care givers at all, at every meeting I observed (I sat in on several) she was not at all engaged. She asked no questions, never made sure my mother (nor I) was understanding what the medical team was saying, nor did she even take a single note. Yes, it WAS a challenge, but while again she was well taken care of medically, all other needs the social worker should have helped with fell to me, which made a stressful situation much worse. I asked multiple times for a different person or to talk to a supervisor regarding this issue and was ignored, despite having both medical proxy and power of attorney. Do better, CHA. read more

The meals were cold and not what one would deem nutritious. You weren't quite sure who your doctor was since they worked in rotating teams but there isn't one specific person assigned to oversee your care. They never answer the phone even on the sick line. Been trying to make an appt all day and waited half an hour for one call alone. No one ever answers so not sure how I can make an appt. Waiting a month already for a doctor and am in extreme pain. They only do X-rays at urgent care no further imaging. I can't speak highly enough about our experience on the 6th floor/Med Surg over the Thanksgiving Day week. Our team of doctors, Dr. Kim and Dr.Ue, are from the Harvard school of Medicine and were incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable. Our son was transported here by ambulance from his nearby apartment in Somerville, so although we didn't hand pick the location, we definitely lucked out in terms of care. Quiet and calm, clean and conveniently located near Inman Square to stretch our legs and take a break with numerous food and coffee spots. Lee and I are both RN's and we would recommend CHA without hesitation. read more

One of the worst hospitals in New England. How does a hospital not have ANY wheelchairs?! My poor mother in law had to suffer not once, not twice but THREE TIMES coming to this broken down hospital. She had a knee replacement here which the surgery was great, friendly nurses and all but I will say the bed was a bit weird for me. Especially since the nurse button on the bed wasn't working. BUT luckily my boyfriend was there with her throughout the days she was there in case of anything. She went home and she was in a lot of pain to the point where she couldn't sleep. We brought her into the ER and no wheelchair available... she had to bare the pain of walking on her little walker from my car to the emergency which took her a bit due to her pain. My mother in law was crying her way to the emergency room. The second time she comes in to check in with her doctor, no wheelchair. She had to YET AGAIN walk to her appointment which she was 25mins late due to her having to stop to rest her leg because she was in too much pain. Now today, she has another appointment and I walk in to ask around if anyone had a wheelchair. This ignorant person in the emergency room LAUGHED at me when I asked for a wheelchair and she was showing me how there's nothing for my mother and she continued to joke around with the nurses in the back. Basically laughing cause there's no such thing as a wheelchair for my mother who is a PATIENT HERE and IS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE WITH MOBILITY... I love how Cambridge is such a "wealthy" city yet their hospitals have no wheelchairs, have the worst staff in the emergency room and I find it so ironic that their own STAFF talks about how poor their upper management is. I had to leave this hospital - after only several months - due to its inability to meet my basic health care needs. I had to obtain a prior authorization from Medicare myself for my asthma inhaler. This is a common task for clinicians, yet they refused to do the work. I was further manipulated and attempted to be controlled around my need for simple basic refills for a blood pressure medication I've taken for years. When I finally stated to my doctor that I felt I'd have to switch to yet another hospital because of these problems she responded, "Okay," and ended our appointment. A nurse manager then called to ask for my "feedback", but never offered any solutions. Not a professional - or even healthy - environment. read more

I had my baby here and would strongly suggest you go somewhere else for any type of medical care. My birth experience was traumatic. I will spare you the details, but at one point I thought I was going to die on the table. I ended up with spinal headaches and was discharged still in pain with instructions to lay flat in hopes the pain would subside in a week. I can't even begin to describe the amount of guilt I felt whenever I heard my baby cry because I could not stand up to go to her. My husband researched a procedure and had to call several times to beg CHA to refer me to another hospital so I could be fixed. The procedure was never offered to me, my husband had to find out about it on his own. I basically missed the first week and a half of my baby's life because I could do nothing but lay there. My six week postpartum appointment was five minutes. Someone is going to comment and tell me to speak with patient relations. I did all of that, and again, my concerns were brushed off. I received a follow up call from a physician at the hospital. While I received an apology for not being offered the procedure while in recovery, he pretty much blamed me because I had asked questions about epidural stuff early on in my pregnancy. Apparently, if you do this, you have a hunch that something could go wrong. The words "should be fine" and "reassured that epidural is possible" should have made me realize that everything was going to go wrong and would be my fault. He also said he spoke to the doctor who was in the room with me, and she had told him she thought she was helpful and reassuring. I'm not sure why he even bothered to call me if he was going to just invalidate the feelings I have about my birth experience. So thank you for that follow up call! This was me at my most vulnerable emotionally and physically, and everyone forgot that behind all this "medical talk" was a person enduring a traumatic event. These were supposed to be some of the happiest moments of my life, and this hospital took those from me. It would have been nice to have had someone acknowledge that what I went through was terrible. Instead, I feel that they either ignore or attempt to blame me. Go elsewhere for medical care. No one should be treated this way. read more

Repost: They treated me so horribly after experiencing a m/c. The staff dismissed me and the radiologist told me to my face that she didn't believe me. She said, " So when was this supposed miscarriage?" I couldn't stop crying. I wasn't there seeking pain medication or anything. I was just concerned about some bleeding I was still having. But I was made to feel like a liar. For what purpose!?! After having a medical exam and my blood work coming back, they confirmed my diagnosis and made an appointment for me with their Women's Clinic. Why would I want to do that after they just accused me of faking a m/c until the results etc came in showing I was telling the truth? No woman should have to be put through that. Shame on them. I've gone back twice to the ED for stomach issues, but that's because the hospitals in Boston are so slow and busy. There was no wait to be seen. They were able to alleviate my symptoms and get me out in a few hours. I'll go to them for things like this, but NEVER AGAIN for something so emotionally charged and sensitive. read more

i wish i read reviews before doing to this er though it was not my choice as i found out had nothing to do with excellent health insurance it was the only two option emt could bring me to and at that moment i could not even walk to the street to get a taxi to any boston hospital. they did nothing with me said to me why are you here yet they were filled with low income people and i bet many not insured at all. it was like where the homeless go to get warm in winter. they had me wait from when i got there in evening to next day without drink or food and never even examined me and just left me there to a case worker came only she was too busy dealing with poor patients i walked out in more pain then coming in but i was determined to get out asap as i could see they had no interest in treating me or finding me help as i could not take care of myself at home. i was the most independent person in my entire life to this injury. read more

This past weekend we spent a few days at this hospital while a family member gave birth. This is the first time that I have been to this hospital and I have to say that I was impressed by the professionalism and service they provided here. The staff was really polite throughout the whole stay and when it came time for our family member to give birth, they were incredibly supportive and allowed her to have the people she wanted in the room without any true reservations. After the baby was born the nursing team was really receptive and treated our new nephew like a little prince. The nursing team was also very supportive to the new mommy and made sure to boost her spirits with a lot of praise while still providing all the necessary information first time parents would need. Overall, the staff here was incredible and the only issue we had with this hospital was that parking was a bit of a nightmare. The two options were either street parking or valet, which was a bit expensive since their parking garage is under construction. That being said, the overall experience was great and we would encourage expecting families to consider this hospital. read more

Wait time in ER 3 hours ... we ended up leaving and going to urgent care. Literally the worst hospital ever !!!!

Avoid this at all costs - I went there feeling sick and the doctor treated me like I was making it up. The nurse then required me to take klonopin before I left, even though I had never taken it before and had no desire to. Friends have had worse experiences - coming in with serious injuries and being told they made it up and got drug tested without their consent (despite no drug use history). If you have any urgent medical issues - please go anywhere else! read more

I'm surprise this hospital only has three out of five stars. I had my son here in 2014. After not being able to have a water birth because I had to be induced I got transferred to Cambridge hospital. Staff from the nurses to the Doula and doctors were and are amazing. Living in Boston I had a lot of people ask me why I didn't go to a Boston hospital, because the care I have gotten with Cambridge health alliance prenatal and postnatal and the care that I get now with myself and my son is top notch! Not to mention I had a very easy birth compared to most. I was induced & was only in labor for 3 1/2 hours which most of the time I slept through it. My son has his pediatrician at Cambridge health alliance her name is Jeanette Callahan and she is amazing! I feel that as a whole this hospital definitely is underrated and I think more people should know just how great the staff is at Cambridge health alliance I wouldn't go anywhere else for my health needs.=) read more

Cambridge Hospital is a mixed bag. I like it overall. Some departments are well run, but others can be dismal in regards to communication. Example of "dismal": a doctor in a certain dept. told me that he wanted me to have a certain test done and that someone would call to arrange it. I got the call, and the person calling asked ME if I knew what the test was. I couldn't remember, he looked at notes, told me it was "such and such" a test - a test I had just had. He insisted that was it and said to call a certain Boston hospital where the test would be given to make arrangements. I did so and was told, "You just had this test." I spent a week after that trying to find out what the test was. The doctor was away, and those I spoke with just passed me on to other people. Numerous calls, promises to call the doctor, call me back, etc. If I even suggested when speaking to someone that the doctor had made a mistake by requesting a test that I had just had, people seemed to get nervous and freeze in their tracks, like God forbid someone dared to suggest that a doctor is human. Oh - when I finally did connect to the doctor, the name of the test that he wanted me to have wasn't the one mentioned in his notes. He DID make a mistake, but no "sorry" for the time I wasted. Then again, he once kept me waiting 45 minutes for an appointment and I didn't get a "sorry" then either. read more

I came in once with a lymph node infection, and ended up telling the Head of the Emergency room off. Oh, I'm not a good patient. I'll tell you that straight out. I also Aced the Anatomy and Physiology AP test. One question wrong. I can name all my muscles, and bones and know where my glands are. So, if a lazy ER doctor tells me I've pulled a muscle, and I know it's a lymphatic infection, I'ma gonna tell him he's wrong. Plus, no muscles attach in your arm pit. None. I also rowed Crew, and know from a pulled chest muscle, and an infected gland. A pulled muscle hurts your chest when you move your arm. An infected lymph gland hurts. Period. It hurts right in your armpit, and is hard, when you probe it. D'oh! I was right, BTW. I'm just sorry for the Nurse, who was there. She had to hear me cussing up a storm. read more

This review is going to link to the Orthopaedic Clinic of the Boston Medical Center. It's their fault I am writing this review in the first place. I was admitted here after a bunch of douche rockets at BMC failed to advise about the possibility of, check for, or diagnose blood clots as a result of a prolonged leg cast. Even after I told them i was in pain and having trouble breathing. Anyway. The *doctors* at Cambridge Hospital were relatively competent; they diagnosed my situation relatively quickly. I was pretty satisfied with the fact that I had two pulmonary embolisms, and a right-side pneumonia and didn't, you know, *die*. It's everything else about the hospital that pissed me off. I tried to get a B-Reader to take a look at my chest film at 6:00 p.m. on a Thursday. Yeah. Might as well have asked Sister Mary McConnell if she wanted a quick tumble out in the servant's quarters. So I had to check myself into the ER and wait. Fortunately my PCP was greasing the wheels, so I only had to wait an hour, instead of the six that was projected. Rules are rules, and in a hospital ER, if you're not bleeding on the floor, you're not a priority. The CT scan tech was an *asshole*. Straight up, fake blonde from Everett, doesn't give a shit about people, just operates a machine for a living. Here's a guy in his 30s, trying to tough it out, and comes close to passing out twice from pain, says "I can't lie down, it's killing me." Now, to most people this says "Hey, this guy needs some help or something." To Bottleblond McNorthshore it's just an excuse to whip out her Customer Service voice and say "mmmkay, can ya just try one more, kaaay?" I was biting off screams on the damn table. After ten minutes of this I sat up and told her she was going to have to get security to hold me down if she wanted more films. At THAT point she suggested: "how about if we got you some more pain meds, would that help? Genius, you antipathic cow. Of course, god forbid the PATIENT suggests that lest they be instantly labeled a drug seeker and thereafter receive nothing more than ibuprofen. (Cue all the self-righteous comments from health-care workers about all the druggies they have to deal with) The vacant-eyed golem that wheeled me back again managed to go to the wrong floor twice, despite having been the same person that brought me down there in the first place. I got a "room" at 1:30 in the morning. I use quotes because what I got was the third bed in a room that had previously been a double. They made it into a triple by pushing some furniture into a corner, sticking another craftmatic in there and another sliding curtain. My "room was 6' x 9'. I was sharing it with a lovely old man who was a great dude, and a REAL drug seeking narcotics addict who they tried to discharge twice *because there was nothing they could treat him for". Ugh. But the system seems to have forgotten what it's like to be a patient moving through it. I would've felt so much less frustrated and worried if only each person who visited me (typically for 2 minutes or less) while I waited in my featureless exam room/prison cell/limbo would've just let me know: a. what will be happening next (e.g., "As soon as radiology gets a free room, they'll send somebody up to get you") b. how long, even *roughly*, I should expect to wait for that next step (e.g., "At this point, it looks like it should take about 15 mins. But please keep in mind that somebody may come in with a heart attack, and then things could take a whole lot longer.") (bonus customer experience points: "Because we know you'll be waiting in this awful exam room, starting at blank walls, in pain and worried about what might be wrong with you, we'll of course give you an update every 15 mins or so to let you know what's going on and reduce your stress.) (extra bonus: "Because it's 2019, and this is Cambridge, MA, we've installed digital displays in your room like they have in the T. The sensor in the radiology dept will automatically update the digital display to let you know how much time you should expect to wait.") read more

This review is about the family medicine practice at CHA Cambridge Hospital. I am switching to another practice. Apparently no one in family medicine knows how to freeze a wart off. My doctor "hasn't done it in a long time" so she refers patients to dermatology. I was previously told by another CHA physician that dermatology has the longest wait list at CHA. I shouldn't have to get on a wait list for a plantar wart, when I'm already in my physician's office. This is the most concrete example of subpar care I've received from my PCP at CHA Cambridge Hospital, but it's not the only example. For example, my PCP wouldn't refer me for asthma testing. She told me to just take an inhaler without testing. So I went outside the CHA system to a specialist at Tufts, where they performed thorough tests and said I should not use an inhaler. I came into their ER yesterday after experiencing a severe allergic reaction to make up remover (my face was comparable to Quasimoto). The person who manned the check in desk was pleasant and accommodated me quite quickly (although there was only 1 other person in....thank god!). When I was escorted inside, the next person who took down my information (what happened, am I preggo, thoughts of suicide, yada yada) was a bit straight-to-the-point/No-BS which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but caused this to go down to a 4-star rating versus 5. The doctor who finally saw me was extremely nice and really sympathetic to what happened to me. He gave me meds that worked pretty quickly (especially in comparison to the lack of reaction from taking Benadryl earlier on) and invited to come back if my symptoms persists. All in all, what could have turned out to be a horrible experience (given the suckiness of my condition) ended up being great! Yay for the fact that the Cambridge Hospital is conveniently located a block away from my sister's new place too! read more

I've been in the ER twice in the last few months-once with my husband who experienced a bout of kidney stones, and once about three weeks ago when I broke my ankle while at the same time dislocating my kneecap. Both of our visits were in the morning and we were treated superbly by the ER staff. My husband was in and out of the ER within four hours and I was there for about five hours and the time we both spent there was for care and recovery and not just waiting for care. For me, I was in intense pain and was immediately taken back to an ER room and had two nurses come in at the same time along with some aides who got me comfortable and took my vitals. I was helped initially by Bruce, who assisted my husband previously, who was very nice and promptly brought me pain medications and told me he suspected my ankle was indeed broken. Once my medicine kicked in I was transported up to get an x-ray of said ankle and I waited only briefly to be x-rayed. I wasn't told anything about the results of the x-ray until I was back into the ER room and was told by the doctor that it was indeed broken. He thought I was already told, but he walked through the break with me and that I'd need to see someone from the orthopedics department if they were able to come by. They were, and I ended up needing to go back to be x-rayed again while they applied pressure to the break to make sure I didn't need surgery. I wasn't thrilled hearing that surgery may need to happen and was happy that it worked out that I didn't need surgery. The doctor from orthopedics that came up was really nice and even though she had to apply pressure on my ankle she did so in a way that wasn't torturous. I was splinted and then followed up with from the orthopedics department within the hospital (I got an automated call scheduling me for a few days later) which worked out just fine as I wanted to come in to get that set up as soon as possible. I left the hospital as comfortable as I could have been, with a prescription for drugs. I was treated quickly and very well, and I'd suggest the ER here over any of the others in the area. The nursing staff was wonderful, as was anyone we came in contact with. I really like the non-surgical orthopedist I've been seeing, but his nurse really drops the orthopedist office experience down-she's really unpleasant. She was yelling at a co-worker outside the exam room and said that she had to put a cast on a tall giant, referring to me. Um, listen hobbit, I'm 5'10", not 5'1". Go back under the bridge. P.S. these walls are thin. She put me in the cast and was really not nice to be around-she didn't put on the colored soft wrap for me-I had to take that home "because my cast had to dry". Suuuuure, lady. Anyway, I'll write a full review about the orthopedics department later, and honestly, it'll be lower than the ER purely based on the devil troll nurse I always end up having to deal with. read more

When my dreaded, yet routine mammogram showed some possible bad news, the people at this hospital went completely overboard in terms of what happened next. Everyone was totally amazing, making a very stressful couple of days, then weeks, then months, more tolerable and manageable than they might have been. I can't speak highly enough of the care I was given during the high-anxiety follow up tests which revealed even more questions. (You just know those long silences in the ultrasound room are not good. Especially when they send for more people to cram into the claustrophobic space, with you lying half naked on an uncomfortable table.) When the little demons were found to be taking up residence ( I feel way too young for this crappy assault and I take great care of myself), I continued to receive great medical care and genuine concern from everyone I met. Ladies- get your annual mammogram. Guys- tell the amazing women in your life to go. It's important! We love our boobs. Lets take CARE of them. The only reason I went to Cambridge Hospital is because my PCP runs out of here. That being said if I had my choice St. E's is way better. While I have never used the ER or stayed here I am reviewing the pharmacy and the ultrasound. So I was having some girl problems so my PCP ordered an ultrasound to look for cysts, etc. It was pretty routine. I arrived early enough to check in and head over. Checking in was easy. I went to ultrasound and waited....and waited....and waited. Two and a half hours later I went in. I was also the only one waiting when I arrived and was told I would be taken soon. The tech was really unfriendly and was asking me why I was even there. Then she was asking really odd questions and was just rude. Needless, to say it was not an enjoyable experience. Three and a half hours after I arrived I left. The parking rates are really high. First 10 mins free? That's a joke you cannot park and get into the hospital in 10 mins. I ended up paying close to $20 just to park. So after finding some things that where fixable so we can have some adorable babies someday my doctor prescribed two meds and she said my insurance made them cheaper if they where placed at the hospital pharmacy. She is awesome with getting the best med prices! So I went back. The pharmacy said it was open on Saturdays. So after the gym the fiancee dropped me off so I could run in and avoid expensive parking. Too bad they where closed. For no apparent reason they where just closed. So I went on Monday. I waited in the pharmacy line for 40 mins. To then be yelled at my some pharmacy tech and he told me my insurance was not accepted there. I offered to call them myself. He then had the balls to blame my doctor who runs out of THIS hospital. He said I had to pay full price or leave. It was awful. I needed my meds and they where really not too expensive even out of pocket. So I bought them. I then called my insurance who said yes I was covered, yes they should have been $3 at a hospital pharmacy and basically I got screwed. Oh I love insurance. They said to call my PCP. I called her and she felt awful and got me in touch with the pharmacy manager who then gave me my money back the next day. Thank god my PCP is good. The pharmacy manager really gave no explanation just that it was unacceptable. This hospital is unfriendly, managed care at it's finest. Oh well there is not much I can do but fight for what I deserve lol. read more
