I was given the name of the Hanger Clinic by my chiropractor because I needed a huge orthotic lift…read moreplaced on my shoe. I contacted the Hanger Clinic was told I needed a referral. I went and got one from my doctor and then set up an appointment with the Hanger Clinic to get an orthotic. At my appointment Paul, one of the orthotic doctors at Hanger Clinic, did some brief measurements to confirm what both my doctor and chiropractor had said. He talked to me about the process that I needed to go through in order to get the lift put on my shoe. This included buying a pair of nicely soled shoes (New Balance worked well) and bringing them to the Hanger Clinic. The shoes would then be sent out (no in house shoe changes here) and would come back in one to two weeks. At that point we would have a followup appointment to make sure the lift evened my body out and would eventually get rid of the back pain I was having. I went out and bought a pair of work shoes and a pair of running shoes and returned that same day so that Hanger Clinic could send them off right away. Paul gave me a discount because I brought in two pairs of shoes to be lifted. This was welcome because buying the shoes and then paying to put a lift on quickly added up, so the discount alleviated some of the financial strain. When the shoes arrived, I came in for a test run. Paul took measurements again to make sure that my body was even. He ran through what I could expect, physically, over the next few weeks as I changed the position of my body. Paul then suggested that I look around at some cobblers in town to see if any of them could put a similar lift on my later pairs of shoes at a cheaper rate. Again, looking out for me to see if he could save me some additional money. I can't argue with that. I have since brought in another shoe to be lifted by the Hanger Clinic and was given yet another discount. On top of that, the original shoes that I had lifted have worked and I have been back pain free for the last five months. Oh, and for those wondering, thanks to Paul's suggestion, I did find a local cobbler willing to do the lifts for about half the cost. I have yet to try him out but will be doing so when the Hanger Clinic shoes wear out.

He removed my shoes and socks for me and he measured my feet so I would get a great fit. This is my new diabetic shoe place.

My husband and I walked into the Good Feet Store in Lakewood Ranch, FL, because my feet hurt so…read morebadly, that I hobbled when I walked. I was out of hope that I would ever enjoy the things I used to enjoy, like taking long walks, and working out - even just getting into the car and going out to eat. The pain took away my joy. That dat, everything changed for me. Scottie and Michael, fitted me with my shoe inserts, and almost immediately, my pain was gone. I starting bawling, because I didn't realize how much pain I was living with (even in my sleep, the pain would occasionally wake me up). when it was gone, I felt so amazing. The follow up calls and appointments make me and my husband (who is so happy that his woman doesn't walk like a monkey anymore) feel like we are in great hands. I can't say enough about Good Feet, and Scottie and Michael. They know, and believe in their product, and I am a better person because of them!!

I have a fractured knee and back issues and decided to use Good Feet. Everything seemed fine but when I got home and pulled out my arch supports there was four (4) boxes. The salesperson did not inform me that she (sold) me an EXTRA strengthener, $500!!!! More!! When I called to asked her why she gave me an extra set she was so rude, told me to calm down when i asked for my money back for the extra strengthener. Really disappointed that a company that sells a decent product has such horrible customer service and return policies.

My mil has limited mobility but let me tell you that did not stop Ms.Sally for one second. Sally took her time with us, showed us multiple shoes, gave her honest opinion, and even got down on the floor to make sure the shoes were on correct. I went online and found an Ortho shoe that seemed to meet my criteria. That online site led me to Gulf Soles so I emailed the owner. I was quite impressed with the prompt personalized reply from Micheal, the owner of Gulf Soles, but due to unexpected health issues it was 10 months before I could come to his store for a personalized fitting. Unfortunately, the shoe I had inquired about was not available. I could tell right off how much he cares about his customers. He apologized and explained about his ortho shoe line and well trained staff I don't recall her name, but the lady who helped me did an excellent job. We went to the foot machine and I was not only scanned but the report was emailed to me, entirely free. It confirmed my larger left foot, higher instep and wider toe box. The first shoe she pulled from the shelf was the exact style and color I had hoped for. The sole was flexible and it safely gripped the floor. She assessed how it fit and then determined the size I needed for that particular shoe. I walked around the store and, oh my, was it ever comfortable!!! For nearly an hour she helped my daughter and I with fitting various sandal styles, offering to reach out to the Venice store or ordering online if they didn't have our size on hand. I left the store wearing my new comfortable Ortho walking shoes and headed for the garden center. I got home 2 hours later after walking about quite a bit. The tieless sneaker style slipped of comfortably and when I stepped on the tile I missed the wonderful cushioned support of that shoe. I will be returning to Gulf Soles for all my future shoe purchases and bringing my husband. It am delighted to have discovered such knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful staff and to know I can buy well fitting shoes in Englewood, FL, just minutes from my home.

First time I went in just after moving and the young man suggested the Tampa running magazine and explained about how races are set up. He then walked me around and pointed out how the store could help me as an athlete. Very helpful! Then I just walked around and looked at products and shopped for items I was considering. I found the energy enhancers I was looking for to help me with my races and he assisted me with a few products I wanted to try. My second visit, I had a yelp coupon and was able to buy a pair of shoes and get $20 off the shoes. Fantastic! I didn't even need to buy the coupon, they just gave it to me. What?! Great shoes, great service!

Additionally, Feet First has a 30 day guarantee on their shoes for any time you have buyer's remorse. I also want to share a small anecdote that demonstrates the nature of this store. I have a pair of Shokz OpenRun headphones, but I lost the proprietary charger when I moved here. I asked the person running the store if they sold the charger for these headphones since they sell the headphones themselves. They unfortunately did not sell them, but the woman gave me one of her extra chargers at no cost. Wow! They have my business for life!
