Very helpful and gave me the yelp discount with a smile! Will definitely shop their again. They also gave me useful information for races coming. :) Both times I went the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. First time I went in just after moving and the young man suggested the Tampa running magazine and explained about how races are set up. He then walked me around and pointed out how the store could help me as an athlete. Very helpful! Then I just walked around and looked at products and shopped for items I was considering. I found the energy enhancers I was looking for to help me with my races and he assisted me with a few products I wanted to try. My second visit, I had a yelp coupon and was able to buy a pair of shoes and get $20 off the shoes. Fantastic! I didn't even need to buy the coupon, they just gave it to me. What?! Great shoes, great service! read more

This is the only running store in Pinellas that I could ever give my business to. I've bought two pairs of shoes from them so far, and each time I was met with extremely caring and knowledgeable folks who helped me find the perfect pair. Additionally, Feet First has a 30 day guarantee on their shoes for any time you have buyer's remorse. I also want to share a small anecdote that demonstrates the nature of this store. I have a pair of Shokz OpenRun headphones, but I lost the proprietary charger when I moved here. I asked the person running the store if they sold the charger for these headphones since they sell the headphones themselves. They unfortunately did not sell them, but the woman gave me one of her extra chargers at no cost. Wow! They have my business for life! read more

Very helpful. Kept us as priority even as other customers arrived. Large inventory meant she easily dealt with my wide feet. Will visit again . read more

Had a great experience today at Feet First. Went in looking for a shoe that is good for high arches because my current Brooks shoes are not comfortable and make my feet ache. Ryan was very helpful in that he listened to my issues, educated me on what shoes would be good for me, recommended some different options and gave me the best one to try on. I didn't even have to try on any more after his first recommendation because it was incredibly comfortable. At checkout, I mentioned that I hadn't received my January coupons yet in my email, and Ryan was nice enough to give me the discount and save me some money. Ryan's knowledge, excellent customer service and friendliness made it an all-around great experience. I highly recommend Ryan and Feet First. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! April was incredibly knowledgeable about shoes by activity, arch support, inserts, and sizing. She truly made finding the right court shoe seamless. We learned a lot about New Balance, K-Swiss, and even about Vionic and Birkenstock sandals. She really helped us put our best feet forward. Excellent service and variety of products! We will definitely be back. read more

Missy did an incredible job of diagnosing my foot issues from an accident. I was unable to walk properly after surgery from an opthopedic surgeon yet after fifteen minutes with Missy I was placed in the correct shoe with the appropriate orthodics. I can't thank Feet First enough, and Missy in particular, for taking the time to listen to me, understand my problem, and put me in the correct pair of shoes. My hat goes off to Fret First and Missy in particular. Thank you. read more

I finally made a plan to get decent walking shoes as my walking partner and I walk up to 7 miles daily. I have never received such amazing and knowledgeable service in a shoe store as I did from Missy. She was able to size up my walking partner immediately. We are both big women with high arches and thin, long feet. She has you try several pairs and walk in the most comfortable. Then she used a level, which no one has ever done for us. I learned I needed an insert on one side. After 1 week my right hip pain is nearly gone! I can not praise this woman enough she is smart and caring. I look forward to telling my PCP, who is a sports medicine specialist about Missy. Never lose this wonderful woman! Thanks Missy you have changed my daily exercise and reduced my pain. I am going back for more from this store as long as Missy is there. read more

I have never dealt with a more rude salesperson than in this store. I went home and ordered online from another store rather than give this place one cent. read more

I was very impressed with staffs knowledge and service. Missy was very helpful and got me exactly what I wanted and needed for my specific needs. Knowing I had one leg shorter, just by looking at my gait and stance. I purchased inserts as well as some Fresh Foam New Balance which will make my standing at my job so much more comfortable Far beats out other sports shoe stores hands down. read more

Feet First really came through for me. I've been to the Bay to Bay store more often than the St. Pete location wanted to write about my experience with Chris from the St. Pete location. My first experience was at the Bay to Bay store. I had just started running and was having horrible leg pain. I went in and got fitted. I ran the next day pain-free (well, as pain free as running can be). So, when it came time to get shoes for cross fit, I chose Feet First. I had done my internet research and decided on a Reebok. I messaged Feet First on Facebook and Chris was fast to respond. They didn't have the shoe in stock but they'd order it. He asked me to come in and try on a shoe of a similar fit but I always wear a 7.5 so I didn't. The shoes didn't fit. I felt like an idiot. Chris was patient with me and my impatience on waiting for them delivered (shouldn't we be teleporting products at this point). Though I'm 100% sure I was annoying Chris never made me feel like I was being a pest. I'll be going back to Feet First. The customer service is great and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! read more

I've made several purchases here over the years. It's a pricey place but the lady (owner, I think) really knows her stuff. I keep coming back for athletic shoes and fancy socks. Great socks are worth every penny! read more

Great service! This is what you don't get by ordering online. Go to Feet First for a great selection and a great fit.

Had high hopes based on all the great reviews. Staff ignored me, they were too busy with each other. Won't be back.

My wife, my daughter and I have shopped it feet first multiple times over the last few years and have been extremely satisfied each time! Personally, I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis for several years with several trips to podiatrist etcetera. The staff at feet first took my problems very seriously and made very specific recommendations regarding new running shoes and proper inserts. As a result, my plantar fasciitis is 98% better! Thanks feet first, Guy C. read more

Customized service without selling you stuff that isnt right for you (i.e. putting a pronator in whatever is in stock just to sell it)

I had a great experience. I came in with my running socks. I've mentioned to the sales ladies my concerns and what my feet are like and they were able to give me choices of shoes. I was told that I needed some stability for my feet and therefore, I tried their top 3 choices on. I was given some inserts to try as well. I was given a lot of attention and I chose shoes that felt the best for me. I have already ran in those shoes and they are great! I was given some coupons for my future purchases. read more

I came into town for a race and needed some new shorts. The knowledgeable staff at this shop explained to me that I was wearing the wrong running shoes and fit me with a new pair. The shoes were amazing and I had a PR! Thank you Feet First! Your staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will have you ship me new shoes when I'm ready. read more

LOVE the fantastic customer service at this store! They will spend as much time as you need to find the right shoe. They also generously donated a goodie bag for my breast cancer walk fundraiser. Love my New Balances and highly recommend them to my friends and yelpers! read more

Got to the store 5 minutes prior to opening, staff opened the door early, very nice! Brian was an excellent tour guide for the product and what would work best for my feet. Great help, fair price and pleased with experience. Will be back! read more

I stopped in here Saturday with my husband. He had been there before to purchase a Garmin watch for my birthday and it was now his turn. I will definitely go back to this store again! They were very friendly, and they have a large selection of shoes as I overheard someone special ordering shoes, so that is good info to know! They also have running gear and accessories. I love all things running, so I am always excited to find a new store. I'll definitely be back! read more

I have been to a store with such knowledgable staff. Each time I have visited, the staff member assisting us is an avid runner. This is so helpful when looking for specific running shoes for myself or my teenager. They are knowledgable about your wants and needs regarding shoe needs. I am impressed. The prices are slightly high, but to get into the correct shoe it is probably worth it. They are incredibly helpful from the minute you walk in! read more

I like the selection but all three times I have gone they have been out of my size or out of stock in what I wanted! Then I just felt the salesman chose an more expensive alternative just to get the sale. I am an 8 1/2 so it is not an odd size. I am so sick of going out of my way to this store and not being able to purchase what I want. If they had my size or the shoe I want in stock, then this would be 5 stars! read more

Excellent selection of shoes, even in wide. But the biggest plus is Missy who really knows her stuff about feet and shoes and the needs of different activities. She is fabulous. read more

The guys at Feet First are amazing!!! They had me in the most comfortable shoes in minutes. Will definitely be going back!!!

They are, by far, the best shoe store I have ever purchased shoes from. They have very knowledgeable staff and will do anything possible to make sure you have the best fitting and correct shoes for you no matter how long it takes! And they stand behind their product which is VERY important to me! I will never buy shoes anywhere else. Thank you, Gage, Brian and Missy!!! read more

People keep talking about "Buying Local", and I try to whenever possible. But what do you do when the store isn't interested in your business? They never stock ANY men's shoes in a size smaller than 8. I fail to believe that i'm the only person in the world (or even Saint Pete) with a foot "that small." What to do? Simple- go to a mass retailer, Shoe Carnival, a few miles away and get one pair at the same price as Feet First and another at 1/2 off. And they have shoes down to 6 if you want. read more

I buy my running shoes from this store, 3-4 times a year. I've shopped here for more than a decade. I wish they were more enthusiastic about the running. I always walk away feeling bad or silly because I try to talk to them about running and they're not having it. I'll keep buying my shoes here. But I would probably come in more often if they were building community. read more

I have been going to Feet First for many years. The service is beyond expectations every time I go there. Typically, I want running shoes and they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They know running and what shoes work for your running needs. I've also had to return shoes that did not work out as expected and they didn't bat an eye, they really want you to be happy with your shoes and it shows. read more

I have been to this store a few times over the last 3 years. Every time I go in, I have immediate help in picking out the right shoe or sandal for my foot and arch. The owner staffs the store with well-educated salespeople with a specific knowledge in running shoes. A woman by the name of Missy (I think) took a lot of time watching how I walk. She was an expert in assessing a person's step and what type of support they need in a shoe. I was also informed of what type of insole to use which was helpful since there are so many on the market. My back no longer hurts and I am well supported with my workout shoes. I won't shop any other place! read more

I've been looking for a great pair of cross training shoes for a couple of months now. After reading reviews on yelp, I decided to give Feet First a try...I'm so glad I did! Their customer service is great & they were able to find me the perfect pair of cross training shoes from the brand I love most (Asics) at an affordable price. I am so glad I found this gem in St Pete...they truly do put feet and people first! read more

Needed new cross training shows and this store had good reviews and was the closest one to us, so we gave it a try. When we walked in they were very nice and welcoming, so I was expecting things go well. I had been fitted before so I basically knew what I needed, but was still expecting to be measured again, watch how I walked, analyze my steps, etc. and find the best shoe for me. None of that happened, she just asked my size and grabbed a bunch of boxes and asked me how the felt. I specifically asked when I walked in if they helped fit for shoes, but maybe she didn't know what that meant. The person I was with had never been fitted for shoes before, made that known, and still nothing. In fact after she pulled down 3 boxes of shoes for them she went to the register to play on her cell phone, while the other employee who was there played solitaire on the computer, and I basically had to help them find shoes that fit. We ended up buying shoes because I had worn a hole in mine and needed a new pair, and loved the pair that I found, but next time I'll try a different store and will make sure to let everyone know about the experience here. read more
