Never had this happen before. Paid the $300 with my credit card. Never met with the doctor. Met with 2 girls who told me that they would make arrangements to have the procedure done at a surgical center that accepted my insurance. Never heard back from them. Just received from my insurance company a list of everything they paid in October. On the list was a payment made to Dr Torres for my October 13 visit. Was told they did not accept my insurance but put in a claim for payment. Wonder what happened to my $300. I will have to make a trip to Lakeland to resolve this issue. Judging from the way they handled my appointment I feel trying to do it over the phone won't work. Very frustrating.

A PA who knew nothing what he was doing and nothing about pain management had to keep running back-and-forth to the doctor to ask questions and then run back to me and give me the answers. I am seeking a Pain Pump because I've had back pain for 20 yrs, four surgeries, and I'm tired of taking pills. Anybody knows a pain person with that much pain, over that many years, cannot go without their medication. They told me I'd have to go six weeks without any pain medication before getting a Pain Pump. This doctor obviously knows nothing, I mean nothing about pain that we that pain sufferers sufferers cannot go 1 day without our meds. If this practice was compassionate, good, and decent and caring about people who suffer excruciating pain every day, they would never ask anybody to go six weeks without any pain medication. There's a lot of good pain doctors and clinics out there and this clinic isn't one of them

I experienced vomiting and muscle spasms from the site of injection. I spent 28 hours from the time of injection to now attempting to obtain assistance with POST OPERATIVE CARE. I was told to contact my Endocrinologist for advice. I did. I relayed that to his staff. They advised through 4 different phone calls over 4 hours of time they would follow up and advise me. They are now closed and all staff are gone for the Easter Holiday. I was advised I could Try and Follow up with them on Monday and perhaps they could help me. Or go to Urgent care or the E.R. Again, this is DIRECTLY for Post Operative Assistance from HIS SURGICAL PROCEDURE. His staff will only pass the buck up and down the chain and not help me directly. They appeared to be waiting out the time to tick down until they closed up for the weekend to turf me out. That is definitely the way I feel treated by his M.A. Stephanie and all the call center staff. I was polite, extremely, considering I've been sick and in pain for 28 Hours. I did call one final time 10 minutes before 5, spoke to their scheduling and cancelled all further appointments so perhaps they will help someone in those now free appointments, however, I would not hold my breath. I was extremely disappointed and concerned by their lack of care. I contacted United Healthcare my provider and am requesting they get a refund of my visit and procedure copays and THEY get DO NOT PAY this bill, The Facility did NOT COMPLETE CARE, so they failed to complete the service. An incomplete service should be unpaid UNTIL COMPLETE. I beg you to PLEASE consider before doing business with the Spine Institute of Central Florida.

These guys are truly the best and so professional when it comes to physical therapy…read more I've had to come here two separate times for issues with both of my knees, and Clark has been amazing. He's so knowledgeable and attentive, and you can tell he's super passionate about what he does. The first time I came, I had been having severe pain in my knees for months and months- I got an MRI and found out I had a partial tear in my meniscus and other damaged cartilage behind my kneecap. The surgeon didn't want to touch it so I wasn't given a guidance and it just continued to get worse. When I came here, Clark finally helped me figure out that the issue wasn't even all the torn and damaged cartilage, but that my kneecap was out of place from all my years playing basketball. He helped get to the root of my issue and had my knee feeling better in a little over a month when no one else was giving me any real answers. Clark is also a former college athlete, which I am myself, and having someone who's been through similar experiences and knows how to help my injuries that have stemmed from playing sports made me even more comfortable. All of the PT's here are great- I've talked to multiple other patients and many of them have come back for different issues and gotten the help they needed. Even Alicia who works at the front is the sweetest admin and helps get all the insurance and appointments set up swiftly. Whether you're an athlete, coming off of a surgery or just needing guidance with an unknown injury, the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Associates are a fantastic option for support.

I had been to several PT places in Lakeland before, but this place and their staff are outstanding…read more After an evaluation you are assigned a therapist for the duration of your treatment who greets you at each appointment; the feedback is amazing, then they walk you out. you feel like they really pay attention to you. He listened to the issues as I described them, explained the treatment as he worked and gave me some things I could work on at home to help. He does not use the cookie-cutter approach to his treatment, but uses an evidence-based approach. He schedules future treatments only according to each person's individual response. I highly recommend him.

I experienced great success here. They blend strengthening and massage to coax your issues to better performance. I appreciated being assigned to ONE therapist and ONE assistant who followed my care (Better than Leading Edge or Cora, where I've also had therapy in the last 5 years but both pass you around to many people du jour.) I didn't give 5 stars for two reasons: accessibility-if you didn't plan well in advance, they were not available and you might have a week break between seeing them. (Also didn't like seeing the 2 days in a row rather than spread through the week.) Also they only work you 30 minutes, where others give you an hour for the same co-pay. (Granted, it worked, but I often felt rushed or "just beginning".)

My son needed a referral in order to get an MRI and we were assured by Dr. Vernier that it would get done fast so we could get things moving. My wife has called this doctors office over 100 times I garuntee and they never sent the referral my wife had to get it herself and send it to the hospital through email. The MRI showed signs of seizure activity on his brain and thankfully my wife had a portal through lakeland hospital and found the seizure activity herself because when we went to the follow up appointment(the appointment thats literally for the results of his MRI) they had no idea about the seizure activity and the doctor used my wife's phone to get his information. It is so sad that this office deals with children in need because they are the most incompetent doctors office I could ever imagine. Oh and on top of everything else they have sent emails of our sons information and asked if we received it and when we asked who they sent it to it was a complete strangers email plus plenty of other things I haven't mentioned.

They all smiled and nodded as they walked by. Wasn't until they came into the room that they realized I wasn't there that they came looming for me. After all I'd said and done, I start being bombarded about leaving a review. I received 7 text messages in a matter of 3 minutes, requesting a review. I received them while I was at work in a meeting! I know we all have our days. And working in a doctors office myself, I just expected something different. I'll still be going back, but hope things change.
