We recently had our home inspected by this company and found it to be inaccurate in much of his…read moreassessment. There were some minor issues that my husband was able to address all within a few days (branches too close to the roof, 1 roof tile needing replaced, etc. The 3 "red" flags (noted to be the MOST important things needing fixed) were , in our opinion, not "red flag" notable at all. One of them was a wasp nest!...really???....we, of course, took care of that immediately. The other two were on a side entrance to the garage concerning the stairs. Not a big deal at all and we have someone coming to fix that in the next week or so. In our 11.5 years here , because of the location of those stairs, we have never once used them. The inspector also noted that our gas fireplace in the family room did not work. This was absolutely incorrect! It works perfectly fine! The gas was turned OFF due to it being summer. Another incorrect assessment was that our jetted tub in the master bath did not work. I was curious because last time I had used it , it worked fine. So...I personally tested it and I have NO idea what he was talking about because it worked perfectly!....We have bought and sold 9 homes over the course of our marriage and never have we had a home inspection that was so out of line.

Dear Mr. Voight,…read more Why are you just now responding to these reviews from over a year ago? Are you trying to put your name back out there by prompting the algorithm to bump you to the top? Why would you contact me via email to offer me a complete refund, but only if I signed an NDA? Did you honestly think I would accept a measly few hundred-dollar refund when the work I had to do to bring the house up to a healthy, livable standard cost me thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars? These are all rhetorical questions, sir--that means you don't need to answer because we already know the answers. Anyone looking to hire this agency should know that I refused the refund. I refused the NDA. I prefer to educate my fellow consumers. I will accept the lost cost of hiring this individual to inform you that you may be putting your lives at risk if you hire this company. There were obvious mold, electrical, and water issues throughout the home that he inspected and did not include in his report. These were all significant issues that could have been negotiated at the time of sale. Issues that he glossed over or didn't report at all! I think I forgot to add in my original review that the HVAC system was full of mold. But thanks for the reminder of this failed home inspection. If anyone needs, I can post more photos. I have hundreds! And I never signed an NDA. My monetary loss is your educated gain.

I would like to start by saying I am so very thankful that I called Troy with Royal T home…read moreinspection! Two years ago I paid a siding company roughly $30,000 to put new insulated vinyl siding on my house. What a disaster, long story short...three years ago this siding company covered up my gable vents and turned my top floor into an oven. My energy bills have been through the roof for three years just to make my top floor bearable and the siding company basically told me to go fly a kite. "It was not their fault or problem". I really wish I would have contacted Troy with Royal T home inspection sooner but let me tell you, he got the job done and I'm so happy!! He came right out to the house, evaluated everything and determined all of the problems and prescribed solutions. Within hours I had a bullet point email giving me an action plan with step by step instructions on who to call and what to say. I did what he said and within days the contractor showed up at my house to make things right! Troy even went out of his way to be there when the contractor came out to make sure I was taken care of! Next week, the siding company agreed to make all of the repairs needed to include removing all siding and taping the insulation seams properly and removing the siding from my gable vents and trimming them out properly. Royal T Home Inspection is more than just a home inspection company. If you have any questions or need anything concerning your home, call him. He offers free exterior inspections and he also offers free consulting as you shop for homes as well. Simply text or email him a property address and he'll provide a free snapshot inspection based on the listing information found online. This is very educational and can save you time and money while shopping. I'll leave a follow up comment sometime in the coming weeks when the work is completed and my house returns to normal. Thank you again Troy with Royal T Home Inspection!!

The home inspection report showed nothing indicating that the roof needed to be replaced. The pictures that my insurance company took show a part of the roof Scott did not show on the home inspection report. How would I have known about that if it was left off of the report? Also one of the pictures the insurance company took is one of the same angles Scott did take and the report does not indicate that the roof needs to be replaced. I've spoken to Scott about this negligence in his fact finding and he takes no accountability nor offered a refund. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
