We also appreciated the progress photos and prompt follow-up with the invoice, financing paperwork, and final inspection scheduling. Our main concerns were communication, cleanup, and safety. We did not receive a response when we asked for a dumpster delivery time which made planning garage access difficult. We were also told the generator and A/C units would be covered, but they were not. Cleanup during the job was not as thorough as it should have been, with debris blowing into our yard and a neighbor's yard and damage to a security light and gutter flashing. We also observed that no one working on the roof appeared to be using fall protection, which was concerning given OSHA requirements for work over 6 feet. In the end, the roof itself appears to have been installed efficiently and professionally, but better communication, cleanup, and attention to safety would have made the experience much stronger.

We have made close to 20 texts or phone calls to Fred, his employees or his office in an attempt to have them come out access, and effectively stop the leak. They told us it was fixed once, we had the inside of our home professionally repaired and painted only to have the leak return shortly afterwards. Go Elsewhere!! Was referred to Grennan Construction by a trusted source and they didn't disappoint. The crew was very polite and conscientious from beginning to end. I read reviews online, filled out an online request for an estimate and someone called me within half an hour to schedule an estimate. The person who came out was Stewart - a very laid back and experienced project manager. He took his time, inspected my property, measured and showed me examples, as well as, explained the process thoroughly when I asked a million questions. He didn't have a sales pitch, it was just a conversation. I was then invited to explore the showroom and scheduled a time. It was very impressive and Stewart was very patient as I choose my plans and materials. Despite it being the highest estimate I received, I received a 10% discount for committing and felt like I trusted them the most and decided to move forward. I had to put 1/3 of the final project cost down for payment and was told they would contact me in 4-6 to schedule the job. This is where the stress came in.. I checked my email approximately 2 minutes before there was a ring at my door. I was being informed that my project was tomorrow and where should they drop off the materials?! I was shocked and overwhelmed, feeling like we were not prepared properly. I later talked to the office scheduler who said she sent an email the week prior, but for some reason I did not see or receive it. Even if I had gotten it, I'm not sure how flexible they would have been with it. Besides having to scramble to get the rest of the payment ready and shuffle around my work schedule for the next day, I also felt like we did not finalize the design, which is crazy because they had already delivered the materials. With a day full of meetings the first day of instillation I felt very anxious that I wouldn't be available enough to meet with the workers. As a result, Stewart did come out the night before and help lay out the design. As I feared, we had different ideas about what the final product was going to look like. I wish they had come out again to determine that, as the only time anyone was on my property was for the estimate and at that point there is only so much attention to detail. I was assured that person in charge of the install would be very accommodating. So we are at the morning of - the workers arrive and ring the bell. My spouse greets them and of course they have a bunch of questions, which I am not available to answer. I am lucky to be working at home, as I really cannot imagine how this would have gone otherwise. Of course the place markers laid out the night prior are not all going to work. The installation team - Alejandro (Alex) - and a crew of five brought some much needed relief. They absolutely knew what they were doing and made everything better. They worked so fast and made so much progress the first day, we're almost done by the second and by the third my entire yard was transformed. There was only one minor issue that the project manager said he would get fixed right away. It took awhile and they tried to talk me out of it and provide a minor discount because it would be costly, but that was his mistake and important to me so I held to it. I will admit that I have high exceptions and value quality, as I believe one should for the price. Their work is lovely, but much of it is preference, which you cannot leave to project managers or workers to decide. I am the one that has to live with this. The end product was great, but I wish there would have been better planning. So, my advice would be go with them, but make sure you have everything figured out before you sign the contract.

A recent professional inspection of the chimney this company repaired, just over a year ago,…read moredeclared it unsafe for use, in part, due to the repair work. The flue tile installed was a different size from the original, creating an unsafe ledge that can collect creosote and cause a chimney fire. Additionally, the crown has separated from the brick and lacks an overhang to direct rain water away from the brick beneath. The crown is now crumbling and mortar cracks have started to appear between the replaced bricks. The inspection was conducted prior to ever using the fireplace, approximately a year after the repairs were done. This after the chimney caps they installed flew off during a storm narrowly avoiding damaging the roof and could have injured a person or pet. The caps were dented and some of their internal welds broken. After months of requests, the one cap that was replaced was installed on a decorative, non-functional tile. When pointed out, a damaged original cap was installed on the functional chimney tile without telling me. When I inspected the work later, I found both caps improperly installed, without the retention screws being properly secured/tightened. When this and other work was done on the house a year ago, we had to call them back several times to repair issues that were hidden from us during the final walk through. Issues included but are not limited to a non-functional damper, broken bricks that hadn't been replaced as expected and completely missing bricks above grade. In one missing brick case, a brick hole, just above grade, was filled completely with mortar, no brick, and dirt had been piled in front to hide it. In another case, this time well above grade, a storage cabinet was placed in front to hide it from view. Based on these facts, I now lack piece of mind on the other repairs made; time will tell. I never want these people to touch my house again, even to repair the items listed above, and recommend you avoid using them.

I contacted the company for a quote on gutters; they insisted that I be able to meet with the salesman for "x" minutes, so he can show me his "presentation". Not ideal, but I went with it. Beaudy came by and spent 90 minutes with me; taking photos, notes, calling back and forth to the "boss" to get my price lower. They agreed to lower the price if I agreed to allow them to place a sign in my yard for "x" days. Fine, I paid a deposit on that's when the fun started. The day of the install, two people came over that morning. They did not know where things went, They had no idea what a rain barrel was. I walked around with them explaining it all, and then had to leave for vacation. There was a significant language barrier; although they were very professional and worked quickly, they had no instructions. While on the road, I received a call from a guy who was at my house, wanting to review the project and making suggestions on changes due to drainage issues he discovered. I had to pull over to talk to him; I had already spent 90 minutes with Beaudy, then another hour with the install crew, now this cocky guy who I had never heard of. Where was Beaudy? Does he even work for this company? I called the office and asked that Mr. cocky pants gets off my. property and send Beaudy over. When the job was finally "done", it was not done, The rain barrel was left uninstalled; deflectors were missing in several places. The owner (?) Bryan came out several times to fix all of the problems. This is the short version, this was so ridiculous I can't believe it really happened. I finally "found" Beaudy, who said he was out with Covid for 3 weeks. That would have been nice to. know; but I still am not convinced he even works there. BIZARROWORLD.

During the quote, I showed the salesperson, Lawrence, two sinking areas in my front sidewalk. He said they would raise those areas at no additional charge. When the crew arrived, I explained that sprinkler lines ran along both sides of the sidewalk and asked whether there was any risk of damaging them. They assured me there was not. They then proceeded to cut sprinkler lines at both locations. I left a voicemail at their main office asking how this issue would be resolved. Lawrence returned my call and said Detroit Concrete Leveling was not responsible for the damage based on terms noted on the back of the quote. The work provided at "no additional charge" ended up costing me $499 for sprinkler system repairs. I strongly recommend you do NOT hire Detroit Concrete Leveling. They do not take responsibility for damaging customers' property. If ownership disclaims responsibility, customers should not expect the work crews to show adequate care for their property. If you still choose to hire Detroit Concrete Leveling, I recommend budgeting extra money beyond the quoted price. You may need it to repair damage cause by their careless or indifferent work. REPLY TO THE OWNER'S COMMENTS OF 7/17/26 Michael - I left a voicemail at your main office on the morning of July 9 regarding the sprinkler damage. Later that afternoon, I received a return call from Lawrence, the salesperson. He offered either to attempt the repairs himself or that I hire a sprinkler company do so. When I asked whether he had any sprinkler repair experience, he confirmed that he did not. Your statements that you requested the opportunity to come to my property to inspect the situation personally and that the "request was declined" are false. I declined only Lawrence's offer to attempt the sprinkler repairs. You did not contact me directly, and neither Lawrence nor any other company employee conveyed any request from you to inspect the damage. I could not have declined an offer that was never communicated to me, and your characterization of these events does not accurately reflect what occurred.
