Better yet have an attorney look at the contract. I was negligent and naive and deeply regret it. Rock Solid owns you once you sign the contract and the 48 hours cancellation option passes. Fact - if you want to terminate the contract, whether they have started the job or not, you will be required to pay one third of the contract price. They will also want you to sign a non-disclosure so that you will not be able to say anything disparaging about their company. Luckily I was able to get this clause voided. How many others have been silenced. Thinking of taking legal action, you agree to pay all of their legal fees when you sign the contract. At $500.00 an hour and up, even if you win, you will lose financially. There is a list of excuses for not doing the job in a timely manner, and they are not afraid to use them. There are a multitude of excuses on the back of the contract for not doing the work and they used many of them on my job. Our contract did not show a completion date, which means they can string you out indefinitely and you have no recourse. I paid my one third termination fee and went with another contractor. I think it's only fair to share my complete experience. My project started very well. Erik was knowledgeable, professional, and responsive throughout the sales process. He answered my questions and gave me confidence that any issues would be addressed. Unfortunately, after installation several problems developed. The flat roof around my screen door was installed in a way that prevented the door from opening properly, and an initial repair created a gap that allowed rain and bugs inside. Roofing membrane also remained exposed, permanently damaging my family's nearly 70-year-old American flag. Despite being told the property had been magnetically swept, my gardener later filled a bucket with roofing nails and debris left in my landscaping. Most frustrating of all was the lack of communication as these issues remained unresolved. UPDATE: Once owner Keith Powers became personally involved, everything changed. He personally inspected the project, sent his A-Team to correct the problems, and made sure the doorway was rebuilt properly, sealed correctly, and even returned to adjust the screen door until it fit perfectly. He also came up with a thoughtful solution for my damaged family flag by installing a flagpole and presenting me with a beautiful new American flag, preventing future damage from the roofing membrane. No construction project is perfect. What matters is how a company responds when problems arise. While I wish the issues had been handled sooner, Keith Powers ultimately stood behind his work, corrected every concern at no additional cost, and earned back my confidence. A neighbor recommended this place, I called today and they were able to fit me in today as well. Mike showed up and was able to diagnose the problem, clean the fireplace and fix the problem, and was in and out of my house within an hour. The cost was $400, when I called on the phone they said costs usually started at $200, but this was fine by me because I believe he had to replace a part and do a bit more work to get the fireplace to work. They do take credit cards and there are no fees to use one, also. Based on this experience I would absolutely use Ace Fireplace again if I was having fireplace issues.

Craftsman Masonry worked on my chimney and touched up the mortar around my brick house. As other…read morereviewers have said, my general experience was that they were honest and hard working. The work was done on a hot August day. The weather prediction was that it was supposed to rain the next day. In spite of that, storms started popping up on the weather radar in the afternoon. The weather radar showed one of the storms tracking straight at my general area. At this point the last area to start working on was a window sill that would be opened up to the elements (in order to fix the surrounding mortar). I talked with the job supervisor several times about the approaching storm and my concerns about working on that window. He consistently told that it wasn't raining right now (he disregarded the weather radar that I showed him) and that the window sill wouldn't take long to do. When the weather radar showed that the storm was 30-45 minutes away, they still hadn't started to work on the window. Josh (sales) told me that it wasn't raining right now and that I would be charged for a return trip if I wanted to delay the window sill work. I felt like Josh also disregarded the weather radar. It wasn't until after that conversation that they started working on the window. Unfortunately they gouged the top of the slate window sill with their angle grinder, they chipped the front face of the slate window sill and a brick below the sill. The chaulking around the window sill was done on wet mortar so parts of it didn't adhere properly. I fixed the chaulk two days later. I can't fix the sill and brick problems. I feel that the last minute push to work on the window sill contributed to the mistakes I described. It would have been better if they had started the window sill earlier when I first started talking with the job supervisor about what I was seeing on the weather radar. Yes, it rained while they were working on the window.

They told us about the guarantee on their own carpet line that allows a "re-do" if you are not satisfied with the carpet for any reason. We kind of laughed, because we couldn't imagine anyone doing that, but it ended up that we weren't happy with our choice and when we asked them if we could replace it with another color, they were completely gracious about it. Their installers were really skilled and did a great job. We will definitely return to Carpet One when we new flooring for other parts of our house.

I hired Resurrection Brick in April 2026 to replace crumbling brick on our front porch that was…read moreallowing water to seep through the cement into the basement. I was promised by the sales lead & manager (Chris and Christian) who came out to our house that they would lay 45 cinderblocks into the bump-out portion of our basement to prevent leakage through the foundation and wall. They also promised to use a liner to help with waterproofing. Instead, what was installed was just 15 cinderblocks that extended only 2 feet. The liner, laid under the concrete on the top pour, did not even reach to the top of the cinderblocks, as was promised. The foreman said the crew had 25 years experience, but from what we observed, most were new to the work. The only experienced worker on the project, which was not supervised by any of the people who came out to plan the project, flat out refused to communicate with us. We asked for the rusted out support beam to be replaced once we saw what condition it was in, both by sending pictures to Chris/Christian and by asking the workers on site, ensuring that we would pay extra. However, the workers on site repeatedly called me a "puta" and said other extremely offensive things, not knowing that we understand Espanol. Additionally, they damaged our porch railing by ripping it out of the wall instead of unscrewing it or cutting the bolts. leaving huge holes. We took pictures and informed the "home team", who we hadn't seen since the day of the contract signing. They who responded that, since we had been so "patient and understanding", IN THEIR WORDS, they would repair the wall and reinstall the railing. However, the railing was haphazardly replaced, deeply crooked with wood screws barely penetrating the mortar. The whole effect is not only unstable and unsafe, it is extremly unappealing - with damage still remaining on the concrete steps. This is especially dangerous, as I recently had complete knee replacement surgery and rely on the railing to walk down steps. When I tried to contact the team about our concerns, we were initially told to just trust the process and that it would all work out. When we needed to go out of town, we asked them to pause the project until we returned (approx 10 days). They assured us they would wait until we got back to discuss what needed to be done to rectify the issues and finish the project. Instead, while on a whale-watching trip in Alaska, I received a call from Chris informing us that they had, in fact, decided to return while were gone and complete the work. I had very bad reception on my cell and was missing a lifetime experience, but explained that this was really unaccceptable and needed them to wait until we returned, as promised. However, they simply said the project was done and they would not be back. When we finally got home, we found metal debris left in the yard, a dangerous railing and contract specs undone, such as a 2-in overhang on the porch slab. To make matters worse, there was evidence of rain water accumulation under the porch. Shoddy work, poor communication, broken promises. Do not recommend.
