ALL so intricately intertwined. I was surprised at first to dedicate a plan to improve other areas beyond food (ie. how to get better sleep and adjust my life to reduce stress)... it makes total sense, there is no way to make serious changes to your health without addressing all realms. I also love that her approach is very individual as I've worked with previous nutritionists who basically subscribe to a particular methodology and put everyone on the same diet. Her approach is flexible to make it work in your lifestyle so you will see success. Changes that I've made since working with Dawn are palpable - not only in eliminating some allergy/inflammation triggers such as wheat, dairy and sugar, but also in creating better life habits around sleep, stress management, and daily fitness routines. Thank you DAWN!

Working with Shanti over the past couple of years has been so much more than a journey toward…read morelosing weight. It has genuinely changed the way I understand my body, my relationship with food, and how I approach my overall well-being. I originally came to Shanti because I wanted to lose weight. And while I have lost weight, it hasn't happened as quickly or to the extent I initially hoped. But what I've come to realize is that the real value of working with Shanti isn't just about losing weight. It's about learning how to live well in the body you've been given and helping it function at its best. Shanti doesn't teach quick fixes or one-size-fits-all nutrition plans. She teaches lifelong skills tailored to your body, your tastes, your preferences, and your lifestyle. She helps you understand how your body processes what you consume and how to make choices that actually work for you. The weight loss becomes a natural result of building healthier, more sustainable habits rather than the sole measure of success. What makes Shanti truly special is how holistic her approach is. Yes, she's incredibly knowledgeable about nutrition and the physical side of health, but she also helps you connect the dots between your hormones, cycles, emotions, environment, and consumption. You begin to understand not just what you're eating or drinking, but why, and how all of these things influence one another. That awareness has changed so much for me. It's transformed my relationship with food and alcohol, and even how I think about friendships, boundaries, and the environments I put myself in. You start to recognize what supports the life you want to live and what might be getting in the way. While the coaching may start with nutrition and your body, the experience feels much more like having a life coach. Shanti helps you build a deeper understanding of yourself and gives you the tools to make meaningful, lasting changes. I'm incredibly grateful for what I've learned from her. If you're looking for someone who will help you do more than just reach a number on the scale, I can't recommend Shanti enough. You're investing in skills and self-awareness that will benefit you for the rest of your life.

Both times, I hesitated because of the cost -- I told myself I was already paying for insurance, so why pay out of pocket for something extra? That decision cost me more than money. I've been dealing with serious health issues since 2018, and I didn't see real progress in my treatment until I finally integrated Shanti into my care team. After a few years working with her, I'm in the best health I can remember in years -- and honestly, the turnaround still shocks me. Shanti has been the cornerstone connecting the dots across a complicated health picture: major weight and puffiness fluctuations, food reactions and allergies, MCAS/histamine issues, mold, migraines, headaches, and joint pain -- all while juggling multiple doctors and endless investigative work. She's been there on the days I could barely move or eat, in real pain and down, and she's helped me build a fuller care team rather than trying to be everything herself. She got me OFF the endless cycle of adding supplements and protocols, and taught me to simplify and actually listen to my body. She's patient, she remembers every detail of my history so I never feel like a number, and she adapts to what's realistic for me rather than forcing one rigid method or diet. We've also gone deeper than the physical -- into the inner work of trauma, stress, and old patterns -- and worked through how my health connects to my marriage, family, work, and travel. I'm so grateful for my work with Shanti. It has been life changing. I wouldn't be able to propel into my next steps in life without the rigor and resilience of our time together.

I needed to know how to eat better, and how to have a better relationship with food. After a few hundred dollars, I had gained five pounds, was less confident, felt like an idiot, and had to stop because it was too expensive. I've since gained forty pounds, and now I'm afraid of dieting. My concerns were ignored, my personal goals glossed over, and I never got any nutritional advice. I was left afraid to go back to my old diet, because she told me that I was destroying my metabolism with it, but with no idea how to start a new one. At the outset, I made it clear that my finances were limited, but that quickly gave way to expensive sessions every week that I couldn't afford, and finally had to give up on. It pains me to leave a negative review like this, because as a person, Toni is very nice. But I have to be honest. I spent several hundred dollars, only to end up the fattest I've been in my life, frustrated, and at my lowest point. Not only did I not get healthier, I'm so unsure and afraid of dieting now that I don't know if I ever will.

While I had the information from 2019 and could've incorporated it back into my daily life, what I was really looking for was someone/thing to be an accountability container for me. I chose to go back to GDL because of the results I had the first time and their structure is something that fits into my life right now. GDL updated their content and structure a lot since 2019 and it has been such a positive experience. The content for the 12-week nutrition science has expanded a lot since 2019 and continues to improve. The structure is really what made the experience for me this time around though. There are different ways to engage with the content and community through the app, instagram, and Slack. I love having access to an online community of coaches and clients who can provide feedback, resources, and affirmation! I love the live and on demand courses for strength training. The weekly calls were also a great opportunity to reinforce the lessons, ask questions about our progress, troubleshoot any challenges, and just be in community. Although Shannon was the lead coach for the group cohort, we were also assigned another coach that provided reflections and feedback on our weekly progress form. I appreciated how detailed the feedback/reflection were, which indicated to me how much of an investment they have on your progress. Throughout the 12 weeks, I felt fully supported and didn't feel like I was being judged. Everything was an invitation that helped us get closer to our goal. If you're looking for a long-term lifestyle change, GDL is definitely worth the investment.

After investing in countless coaches and courses, I…read morewas ready to finally put an end to all the second-guessing and commit to a plan tailored specifically for me. I enrolled in the self-paced program after doing my research and seeing overwhelmingly positive reviews. In hindsight, not meeting anyone on video beforehand and relying solely on text communication was a mistake on my part. After taking the initial quiz, I guessed my body type and was assigned a coach who shared that same type. I followed the program precisely for six weeks and saw no results after the first week. Only then did I learn I'd been placed in the wrong program for the wrong body type. I was reassigned to one of the founders, who reviewed my case and matched my correct type. Another 2-3 weeks went by with zero progress, even after overhauling my routines yet again. I even paid extra for their Tier 2 service, with no changes or signs of improvement. I did everything that was asked of me: 15,000 steps a day, consistent powerlifting, hydration, structure, and discipline, yet nothing changed. Instead, my lack of progress was attributed to mindset, quantum physics, and somatic blocks. I'm trained in trauma-informed care and have spent years doing deep somatic and therapeutic work. I fully understand the mind-body connection. But when a program cannot deliver results, shifting the responsibility back onto the client feels dismissive and unfair. Ultimately, it felt like the blame was placed on me when my coach no longer knew how to support my case which is exactly why I hired them in the first place. While I appreciate receiving a $750 refund for the Tier 2 upgrade, I am still left having spent $1,500 on a self-paced program that did not work for me. This is simply my experience. Be thoughtful, do your research, and I truly hope your results are better than mine.

I had worked with Sabrina in the past and after years of struggling and as I have gotten older, I knew I had to reach out to her. I have always been active and I workout every day so that was not an issue for me. But I was still slowly and steadily gaining weight. I have tried every meal plan and/or diet you can think of spending hundreds of dollars a week on food and hours in the kitchen meal prepping, and nothing worked long term. I reached out to Sabrina in September and started working with her a week or so after my initial call. She made a few tweaks to my diet and my exercise routine, and the weight began to come off. We worked together until the middle of January. During our time working together I lost 20lbs. OVER. THE. HOLIDAYS.
