Hello. I have had the worst experience not with the doctor, as she is unfortunately away from the…read moreoffice but with the office staff and Office manager named Terry. This started last week when the pharmacy faxed in my prescription refill 4 times with no response from the doctor, this is per the Walgreens Pharmacist. So, I called the doctors office and they said I needed to come in for an appt. BEFORE I can get my refill. I was told if I made a appt. they could call it in, so I did. Then I got a call back saying I needed to first come in and then they could refill it (remember, since they took so long to get back to the pharmacy, I since ran out of my daily medicine). When I explained this was an issue as I am already out of the medicine they then said that was not their problem. I asked to speak with a doctor as they would know that this particular medicine can't be missed as my health is at stake and they refused. They also said that my insurance would not cover it without the appt. so I called my insurance company, they said that was not true, they did a three way call to the doctors office and we got Terry, the office manager who said they would not refill my medication and would not let us speak with a nurse or doctor, she hung up on us! So, the insurance company then got one of their RN on the line and we called back again. She asked so speak with a nurse or doctor and they refused but did get Terry on the line, again, the one who hung up. She said they could get me in tomorrow at 1:30 (before they couldn't get me in for 2 weeks as my doctor is on vacation....they expected I'd go all that time without my medicine....can you hear law suit in the event something happens to me?) I took the appt. even though it affects my work, children and parents I take care of. Then I got a voicemail this morning saying they made an error and can't get me in until 3 instead, which, won't work as I already made arrangements for 1:30. So, I called this morning and got another different Terry who said I wasn't even on the schedule, to which I said, I have the voicemail if you'd like to hear it. She became rude and said well you are not and I have other calls in line. I said, I need to get make an appt. as you all called an moved it and I can't make the time to which she insisted I was not on the schedule even though both the insurance company heard it AND I HAVE A VOICEMAIL saying I am. I asked to get scheduled and she said no one was in and hung-up on me. This is the second hang-up. I called right back and got an appt. for tomorrow. Fingers crossed I am not taken off the schedule. Definitely going to the State Board if my doctor, when she returns, does not see this as a major issue. I have been seen in this office for decades! Poor staff, it's hard to find good help but in the medical field both should be FIRED!

I contacted Valerie, who arrived on time all four times I needed assistance. Just as important, she was friendly without being in overdrive. You don't want someone chatting away a mile a minute when nervous about surgery, but she had this calmness about her. I wish I had that superpower :-) Thank you for taking such good care of me Valerie.

We'd use them again in a heartbeat even though they're on the opposite side of the Valley to us. More details: My mother-in-law had a pacemaker battery replacement surgery a few days ago. Because of the incision on her left side, it would have been impossible for her to crawl into our higher SUV which she needs a step for in the best of conditions. We wanted a transport service that would allow her to stay in her transport chair for loading and unloading. The reviews were good for Independence Transport and they did not mislead us. Valerie provided a timely estimate and assurances that they could provide the service we needed. We chose her company and she was great to work with. I am a terrible worrier and Valerie put my mind at ease. She has two vehicles available and she made sure that the one where the seatbelt came over the right side would be used so it wouldn't interfere with the incision. We had several text updates as to the time for arrival. She ended up driving the van herself and was at the right place at the right time to get us picked up. She was efficient and kind--everything we were hoping for. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

These folks have been wonderful to me. It is very scary being alone, unable to walk, and trying to navigate medical services. I have used this service at least 6 or 7 times. They come to my home and are never late. When I was in a wheelchair, they parked the van, took me inside the building to the doctor's office on the second floor and made sure I was checked in. Another time, I needed a procedure done at a hospital in Phoenix. The driver took me to the hospital, followed me inside, and found a wheelchair for me. She then took me to the registration desk. The cost is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I really needed to have that medical procedure done and I knew I could depend on them.
