The robotic coffee machine at Banner Gateway hospital DOES NOT WORK. When I tried to get a $9 refund, the automated answering machine promised to reach out and process my refind bu never did after two calls. The website is unreachable as well. Banner Gateway Hospital need to UNPLUG this machine - it is run by a fraudulent company.

My care here was pleasant the whole staff was great attentive helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. My baby number 3 here had all good times here. One thing though last time the food was a lot better, I guess they're working on updating kitchen. The food wasn't all the great I'd give it a 2-3 stars, it's nice they have options and you have plenty to eat each meal just the quality wasn't all that great meat lil dry, I'd say the ceaser side salad was good and cheesecake as well as the cookies, I didn't try any other deserts besides the cups of ice cream which were fine too. I did like the steamed veggies as well, they kinda hit all food groups you need in a day which is great, with the added sides entree deserts and 3 beverages each course. My baby was in nicu they've updated since my last 2 babies it's a lot more private a spa ious which is great. I feel my baby was handle with care as well myself and with respect. No complaints there:)

From the center of the Lobby you can look up several floors to the Mission Dome. Adjacent to the main lobby are other interesting side lobby's with Artwork, some depicting the Missions bones, SW Artwork, and a Wall-of-Fame 2006 photograph that captured nurses S who's now on our Medical Team. The room was surprisingly spacious which easily competing six of us. It was a great visit with some truly amazing people we live dearly. This was my first visit to the hospital and from everything we observed and the care provided to Nurse S's husband I can see why they insisted on coming to Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.. We went to Arizona General on Ellsworth and Elliot. From the minute we walked in to register until I left there was pleasant helpful staff. We arrived around 9pm, Emily at registration was kind and quickly got me registered. About two minutes later I starting receiving text updates about my wait time. These texts continued throughout my stay in the ED, keeping me up to date on my progress. AND, this morning I received another text offering help to find a PCP and make a follow up appointment!! The Triage team saw me within 20 minutes, and about 10 minutes later I was called back to a room. Dr. Okafor came into the room, listened to my symptoms, and immediately told me he would be ordering a CT scan and blood work. All the tests, blood work, CT scan, were done so quickly, I was truly astonished. Gratefully, nothing was seriously wrong, and I was informed I'd be going home. Karla, RN, explained all my discharge paperwork instructions very clearly, my IV was removed, and we were on our way home. This entire process was so quick and efficient! We arrived around 9 pm and we were back in our home at 12:03 am, this is including our drive time. THANK YOU to Karla RN, Michelle patient financial services, Krystal Lab Tech, Dayna Imaging Tech, and Dr. Okafor for all your attention, excellent care, and quickly moving me through. When I saw the doctor, I explained my symptoms, but from the start, I felt like my concerns were being dismissed. He made a comment that high blood pressure is "better than low," which didn't feel reassuring given why I was there. He told me the plan was to do blood work, an EKG, and give me another dose of my blood pressure medication. I had my blood drawn and waited, expecting to be called back for the EKG. Instead, the doctor later came to tell me that my "EKG and blood work" were normal. I had to point out that I never actually received an EKG. He responded that he must have been thinking of another patient, which was concerning in itself. He then said he didn't think an EKG was necessary anymore, even though it had been part of the original plan. He recommended that I start taking my blood pressure medication twice a day and discharged me. This left me feeling confused and uneasy. After doing some research the next day, I learned that I am already on the maximum recommended dose of that medication, and increasing it is not typically advised. Overall, I left feeling that my concerns weren't taken seriously and that the care I received lacked attention to detail.

I was taken to a very cold room. I again explained why I was at the hospital. Four times before seeing a doctor. I was told to strip down and put on a gown, I explained that I cannot do this by myself, they stripped down in this extremely cold room put on a heart monitor (which was not even near the reason for being here). The female Dr. with a strong accent came in and first thing she said very rudely "What is your emergency." I explained for the fifth time. She said "there is nothing I can do." I said "why"? She again rudely said "We only handle life threatening issues." I asked her to explain, she could not even describe what she considered a life threatening issue. She only repeated same tone thre times. I asked "do I need to be litrally dying". Then started to judge me and insulted my intelligence. Then it was on!!! We had blows!!!! I'm not proud of my behavior and the exhaustion of the drive got the best of me. I needed compassion and clarification, not rudness obscurity. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE 3 STARS IS THE HOSPITAL STAFF SHOWED COMPASSION. I should have been told at registration or at triage this hospital is only for seriously death or life. I would have gone to a different hospital.

I could not have had a more dramatically different experience than what I saw in the reviews - it's safe to say that the management has heard your concerns! We came in at 9:30pm to a very full labor and delivery floor - cancelled the inductions for the day & a woman had been waiting for a delivery room for 7 hours longer than me... Things were not looking too promising. The nurse in triage, Kristy (I hope I'm spelling that right) moved MOUNTAINS for us. She continuously let us know what was going on on the floor and how my labor was progressing. When there was no delivery room available and the nurses were literally spread to their max, she found a way for us to get to a room to help alleviate my pain and welcome my son into the world. I have never felt more looked after than I did with her. Following that, the postpartum ward was delightful! The team that works in there is extremely respectful and caring. Food wise, pretty good! Not the typical icky hospital food that you hear about! If you get the chocolate chip cookie, put it next to a piece of bread for a little bit and it isn't as dry & oh so much more yummy! I hope & pray that everyone gets to have my experience! Even the OB who was on call... I don't know if I would have remotely the same delivery experience if it wasn't for him & his gentle encouragement throughout - you are the best Dr. Canestraro!

A nurse came out and checked on my mom immediately to assess the level of trauma. Within 15 minutes of arriving they were escorting my mom to get a CT. Once she was placed in a bay someone came out and got me. The doctor came in a few minutes later, advised her CT was clear and explained she would need multiple stitches. After finishing he was trying to clean the blood out of her hair, it was literally the sweetest thing I had ever seen a doctor do. Spent 3 hours waiting for a technician from across the valley to show up to operate the Ultrasound machine to rule out blood clot after a flight since my knee was showing signs of a lot more swelling with red color and bruising that wasn't there previous to flight. Doctor looks at my leg and says "yeah, I'm not even gonna touch it, you need an MRI." He then writes me a prescription for the pain. Spend ALL DAY on the phone with the pharmacy AND the doctors office trying to figure out why my prescription isn't being sent/received. Both parties are blaming the other and almost refusing to just pick up the phone and speak to each other directly so they use me as the middle man. Spoke with both sides no less than 6 times each for it to ultimately turn into "it's not our fault, it's theirs and we aren't sending the prescription again." I call the doctors office one final time to just figure out what my next steps are and whoever this guy is says "well, just ice and take ibuprofen. All you did was sprain it." I responded with "how is that your diagnoses? There's not been any MRI's yet right?" And this guy says "well the results are pretty conclusive." WHAT RESULTS ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? The ones where the doctors says yeah, I'm not even going to touch it and then prescribes me Oxycodone?! If his reaction was to leave it alone and prescribe a Percocet wouldn't common sense dictate we're probably dealing with more than a sprain? In conclusion, instead of rectifying the situation they "offered" to refer me to another ER facility (which I would most definitely pay another $630 visit fee). That way they could be done with the whole problem. I never got my prescription nor any pain relief of any other kind. Play that call back Dignity Health and confidently tell me that's what you want to see take place when it comes to customer service. This location is a clown show, look elsewhere for medical assistance.
