I couldn't get a refund or service back up so I vowed to never use Xfinity ever. Then one day my roommate got xfinity then said he was paying like 30 dollars for a gig of internet but wouldn't share it. So I decided to cut my price of paying 70 for barely 10 megabytes with Xfinity. I bought into their plan and got hella benefits and promotions for being military. They made the set up super easy. So simple and way easier than at&t, only complaint was the wait time to get the service but well worth, I set it all up on my own just pressed a few buttons and scanned some bae codes and the system pretty much handled everything. They also included a streaming service bundle for so many apps. Highly recommend.

I don't usually spend much time writing reviews, but felt it was important to do so here. Xfinity's wireless was horrific - crashing on an hourly basis and running slow. The cell phone coverage wasn't as bad, but not at all great. And when I called the customer service line (twice) for technical assistance all they did was transfer me to their overseas office, and I got salesmen (not technicians) trying to UPSELL me. Just terrible. Absolutely don't use Xfinity services. Yikes!

Megapath is a sorry substitute for Speakeasy. All of the sophistication and no-nonsense excellence…read moreof Speakeasy is gone, replaced by a shambolic ineptitude and corporate dysfunction that made Comcast look like a good idea. I had DSL from Speakeasy for a decade and then several years of business voice and DSL from them before they were subsumed into Megapath. I signed my last three year contract with them in October of 2013 and have been trying to get them to cancel my service for more than a month since it ended. First they offered to have the Cancellations department call me to send a shipping label for the equipment I leased from them. When that call failed to materialize, I called them again and they told me that they had renewed my contract without my consent. I have invited them to take me to court for it. Perhaps you will do better with them. Every big corporation has earned some nasty reviews, including my current ISP. Even so, I am ditching Megapath for their ongoing inability to provide reliable voice and data services and their equivocation during my last service interruption. I elected to get service from Comcast after my latest outage where my retail business had no internet service for four days. My shop uses cloud-based POS software and authorizes credit card purchases over the net. I was obliged to buy a mobile hotspot to keep things working during the outtage. During that time, Megapath tech support expressed confusion that I had voice but not other net service working and denied that the problem was something anyone else was experiencing. After a day or two of this, they admitted that the issue was known and widespread and that they were trying to resolve it and would call me back. They did not call back and my efforts to call for updates got me nowhere. In fairness, many of their tech people came from Speakeasy and are smart and decent people but the business side of the operation is too much for me. Perhaps they'll squeeze the money for their so-called contract out of me after litigation. Because the tech folks are so decent, I probably would have continued suffering the bad connectivity--the copper lines and related hardware in my area are leased from Centurylink and can't be relied on in rain, and it rains all the time here--but the fact of the matter is that when I described my outtage to them, they pretended that it was a unique occurrence instead of a widespread, already known issue. They weren't selling me a reliable connection, and when they lost my trust, there was nothing left to keep me from trying a different broadband technology from a different giant corp.
