It was very expensive They conducted the extensive research and determined I had leaking sockets and needed $11k worth of work. I submitted it to the VA but after over 5 months of waiting, I gave up and just went with the thousands of dollars I paid out of pocket for the upgrades to my property and didn't receive any assistance from the VA as promised. read more

Integra Electrical - Ceiling fan installed - Electricians Near Me - Indianola, Iowa

I had the absolute displeasure of working for this sleazy company who tricks their customer base regularly. They call people with an offer for a "free" breaker panel tune up or something else "free" and then, often without consent, their workers start measuring the electricity levels in the house and make often false claims about things being wrong. I had so many customers call and talk about how the competition of Integra charges at least 3 times less than them too for the same kind of work. You do not want these scammers in your home. If that's not bad enough, they terminated my position because I lost electricity in a tornado that was ruled a state of emergency for my state (I'm a remote worker) and they have been incredibly slow & unhelpful giving me access to my pay stubs and other requested information I need for applications. Truly evil business owned and ran by truly evil people read more

My guies that came out (Dustin) was very nice and polite. The only complaint I have is the cost. It was out of pocket. The problem was resolved, but was told after I paid over $1000.00 that another $300.00 would be due for figuring out the problem. It was a shock, which later was told not to worry about it. New plug in, new dryer plug, new junction box plug. read more

Excessive charges. They take advantage of customers. Obtain a second opinion at the very least.

Integra Electrical is an awesome company to work with. They rewired our 1922 bungalow. We bought the house after specifically asking if it had the antique knob and tube wiring. We were assured it didn't, but later found that the previous owners had covered it up with a ceiling in the basement! The company offers a free inspection every year and Osten did a great job. I work from home and the disruption to my workday was minimal. He even gave us a free sensor which shows if the electrical current ever changes- like in a thunderstorm. I highly recommend Integra. read more

We used Integra for two different jobs in our house. Two outdoor outlets and a can light in a closet. Their prices were fair. The service from the electrician was good and he was very professional. read more

I'm very satisfied with the quality of work done. With the concentration that Daniel and Nicholas gave during their time here I'm happy with the value and confident with the service I requested. Integra Electrical is my company to call from now on. read more

I needed an exhaust fan replaced. I bought the fan and scheduled an estimate. The electrician "inspected" my electrical system and came up with $7K in repairs that were "recommended" including a new electrical panel, rewiring two circuits, GFI plugs and some other items. After trying to sell me on an ever smaller job, he finally gave me a bid on what I needed. Nearly $1,000 for an exhaust fan. The internet says the high end of the average is $300. Then I had to pay $69 for a call that fixed nothing. It is two hours labor and no parts - I bought them all! read more

Why are there no Yelp reviews? After 10 yrs or so in business there is only one Yelp review? Something is up because you have 85 on Google, etc?I just wish Ben the owner would contact me regarding his attempt to install 3 flood lights from Menards and take out all 4 of our $250 highest end flood lights for our water fountain for $1,500 or so.3 out 4 of our current lights work.Just need a new bulb for the one light is out. read more

This company is so good. What's up with these poor ratings? We were very happy with Aiden, Daniel, and Aaron's work. We had them install a transfer switch, a plug for our generator to plug into the house, and had them replace the breaker switches. From the estimator to the workers, they were all so very professional and worked quickly. They were polite to us and respectful of our home. Very pleased. We will never have anybody but Integra after this. Jim and Karen Bruce read more

Danny put in a new outlet in the basement for my water softener install. Great job as always. Love working with Integra. They are always fast to respond, efficient, clean up before they leave, and love the no surprise estimates! My go to for all electrical needs. read more

Con artists. I lost power to my dishwasher and disposal in my new house . Tried my breaker and it wouldn't come back on. Called this company. John came out and supposedly fixed the the problem. Then proceeded to bill me $500 OR if I wanted a home surge protector system installed for $1300 he would apply $500 toward the install. I agreed and it was scheduled for the next week. During the week the same thing happened again. I called back and they said they'd have the installer check it when he came. A different guy came, installed the surge protector and then checked on the other issue. Turns out I was not resetting the breaker correctly. You have to switch it all the way to the off position before switching it back to the on position. My old breakers didn't do that so I had no idea. I spent $1300 on a tripped breaker. Please don't give these scammers your business. read more

On 7/25 we had Kurtis (who was amazing) come out and give us a multiple quotes on some pretty extensive work we wanted done. There was a $69 charge for the visit. Once he had completed his assessment of what would need to be done he gave me multiple quotes. I asked him for a receipt for the $69 along with copies of the quotes. He advised me they would be emailed. On 8/1 after not receiving anything and multiple emails to the company I called and spoke with Jim Kack who advised me they do not give copies of the estimates. He went on to blame Kurtis stating he was supposed to explain all the quotes to you. I advised him he did. I asked him if I was suppose to memorize $45,000 worth of work which is what I was quoted. He stated that as a courtesy we will send you copies of the quotes by email. As a courtesy!?! Well today is 8/10 and I still have not received the quotes. I would not hire this company unless you would like to spend $69 for nothing and get attitude from the company about getting a receipt and written quotes. read more

We hired Integra to install an electrical box. We received a quote of $2600 and wrote a check for $1,500 and booked the install. The technician came out the day of the install, Dec. 1st, installed the box and I wrote the second check for the remaining $1,100 and that was that. Job complete right? The breaker kept switching off whenever I turned on the roof cables for which the electrical box was installed to power. We then had another tech come out and he replaced the switch with a new switch and so far, it seems to be operating correctly. I then received a voicemail from Integra on Dec. 21st with a message asking how the install went, any questions, let us know. Typical customer service follow up call I assumed. With the holidays ramping up, I figured I would call back after the holiday. Jan. 4th, I received another voicemail from Integra, same message, how was the install etc etc. Jan. 8th, my wife and I both receive letters/notices that a mechanic's lien has been placed on our house for non-payment. My wife checks the bank account and confirms that the second check we gave Integra has NOT been cashed. My wife calls Integra and speaks to someone that tells her the check was returned for NSF and that $2,600 is due. Not possible. The first $1,500 check was cashed. Integra says they will "check with the bookkeeper" and call my wife back. My wife contacts our bank and confirms that the second check for $1,100 was never cashed nor returned due to NSF. Integra calls my wife back, the first check that was cashed has now been applied and they can take the remaining balance due over the phone. She asked where is the second check is second check was given to the tech. Integra informs my wife, well he is out of the office this week, it will have to wait until Monday, Jan. 11th. Integra then asks if my wife would like to pay over the phone to settle the account. Really? We already wrote you a check and you want another? THE SECOND CHECK IS MISSING, WHY WOULD I PAY YOU AGAIN WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND THE SECOND CHECK?!?!?! Interesting side note: Second voicemail was received Jan. 4th, the mechanic's lien was filed Jan. 5th. Neither voicemails mentioned anything that needed to be resolved. Lien filed the NEXT day after the second phone call. I then call Integra and ask that this situation be corrected today, not Monday. I am informed that the tech is out and we can't do anything until Monday. I am told that the second check is not there and that they (Integra) tried to reach me twice regarding the missing second check. I replied, I did have 2 voicemails yes, but nothing in the messages was there any mention of missing payment/check. I am then informed by Integra, that they try to be discreet. Discreet? If I owe you money or a check is missing you should be more transparent. You could have even sent an invoice/letter. So the work was completed Dec. 1st, second check never turned in. 2 voicemails, which I still have and NO mention of an outstanding balance. No letter of notification and then a lien placed on my house. This is not how to do business and treat people. Jan. 11th Integra leaves voicemail, We found the check! Sorry about that, we will remove the lien against your house. That's it? Really Integra?! You put a lien against MY house for YOUR mistake! That lien will be there for up to 7 years and all we get is a sorry about that, our mistake. For a company that claims to be all about integrity and customer focused, you did a poor poor job correcting this situation. You can surely do better. A simple apology is not sufficient for the disruption to both of our workdays and us having to "play detective" on what went wrong! read more

We were recommended to Integra Electric by a local plumber due to some wiring issues that needed to be addressed for his plumbing work. (Ben) Integra Electric spent a few minutes talking about the problem on the phone and then set a time to come out. Integra Electric made room for my minor project and fit me in, I felt as if they cared about me and not just another service call. People and how they act and behave does matter ( Ben / Nick A+), yes it was expensive all electricians are but it sure is nice to feel as if you are working with someone who has your best interests in mind and is more focused on long term relationship than a one off sale.
