I had a tumultuous car beginning in North Carolina. Long story short, I had three days before I began my new job here to lease a car. In NC, you can't have an uninsured car. You also can't get insurance for your car without an NC driver's license. This put me in a serious bind, as I had moved from out of state and didn't have a license when I went to go get my insurance. Josh was really great about all of this, starting my paperwork anyway while I ran around to get everything in order. And everything worked out totally fine--the process was much smoother in the end because of his cooperation. But it gets better! On my birthday, I was eligible for a lower insurance rate. Without me having to say boo, Josh emailed me and let me know that he had found a different insurance company with a much lower rate for me, and all I had to do was come in and sign the paperwork. It was a SIGNIFICANT discount. I even got to re-set up my direct deposit right there! As the very large cherry on top of the ice cream, I (inadvertently, so it was an even better surprise) referred someone to come to them for insurance. A bit later, I got a $5 Starbucks gift card in the mail as a thank you. A bit later than THAT... I got a $50 Target card in the mail for winning a separate drawing you get entered into as a result of that! Holy crap! Elona Duell, the agent/broker, answered the phone and the conversation started out nicely. I told her about our business and explained that I was trying to get a quote on cargo insurance and in less than 3 minutes she told me that we should get cargo insurance with our current insurance company, because it would be more expensive to do it separately. Since I already knew that getting insurance with our current company was an option,, I explained again that I was looking for a couple of quotes from different companies, just to weigh our options, so if she could give me a quote that would be great. She then proceeded to talk to me in "insurance" lingo and said it wouldn't make sense to get cargo insurance separately from our current insurance carrier.
