The owner came out, inspected, explained in detail what we needed and gave us a quote. He also offered that Xcel was offering a rebate for some of the work we needed down and they would file all the paperwork for it. He was on time, personable and professional and the bid was reasonable and fair. We had the work done and the crew that did the work was on time, efficient, did an excellent clean up after the work was done. They did file the rebate and we received it in the time Xcel said it would take to receive it. It's rare these days to find a business that is honest, timely and fair with respectful crews but Houle Insulation was all of that and more. I would HIGHLY recommend them and in all honesty I am a hard to please customer because I won't "settle" for less than I expect. These guys are good. Because they are good they are busy so just know it may take a little longer to get scheduled but the wait is worth it! We have noticed a huge difference this winter. Heating bills are down and the house feels warmer.

Layne came to our home and did an excellent job explaining the different rebate options, financing plans, and the entire insulation process. He made everything easy to understand and stress-free. Alexis and Tarik handled the actual work. They removed all of our old attic insulation, sealed any openings, and installed new insulation that helps repel mice and bugs. The next day, they returned to insulate the walls. They arrived on time, were respectful of our home and furnishings, and left everything clean when they were done. Guy that showed up was in a bad mood and kept complaining about his thermal camera app not working. Weeks later I was still waiting for an estimate to be emailed. Received a call from this company asking me if I wanted to get going on the project. I informed him that I never even received an estimate. He apologized and informed me that the guy at my house no longer works for them. So we set up a new appointment to get an estimate. The 2nd appt I was contacted 20min beforehand by Ryan letting me know that he is 90min away and won't be coming out because it is a waste of his time and his $50 in gas and it would be bad for the planet with his xtra emissions. So here I am 2 months later with no estimate and 2 failed attempts. I attached a photo of the voicemail I received just before my appointment for all of you reading this thinking, it can't really be this bad can it?

Their booking system was super easy, we requested a quote online & then were able to schedule via email; once we had our quote emailed to us, we could accept it via a link & set up a time for the actual install. We were lucky to squeak in on a cancellation, so we actually got our appointment set up really quickly. The team who came out are super friendly & efficient, it was nice to see that they even put drop cloths around to make sure our floors stayed semi-clean while they came in & out. They were knowledgeable and professional in their evaluation of our ice dam issues and so we put our trust in their expertise. They weren't the least expensive but we wanted it done right.
