Phil, came over to give me an attic insulation quote, when he came down he told me that he used to do HVAC work and noticed my ducts were very old and that I should consider replacing them before I get insulation. He told me that we had old fiberglass and that it wasn't good. He even recommended a company, that is now replacing my ducts. We love in a house built in 1988. Had several contractors give estimates. They all said insulation was less than 4 inches which explains it being cold and the heater constantly working to keep the temperature at 68. The crew showed up earlier than 9am which was nice. They did the radiant barrier installation under the roof joints and then they did the spraying of the insulation and did it quickly. Nice set up and very professional team. Insulation Kings were the best! They responded immediately and set me up for an appointment asap! I think it was 2 days from initial contact to the crew arriving at my home early in the morning. My home is old, single story with not a high pitched attic. The young men had to crawl on their tummies to get around the attic. Truly not a fun job for them. I felt that he was a mom and pop operation, and i wanted to support our small business community as i am also a small business operator. Requested an estimate for whole attic blown-in insulation. Terrence arrived promptly. evaluated the project and an estimated was provided within a couple of hours. We contracted them to do the work and scheduled it for a 1-2 pm show time. Terrence and assistant showed up at 12:40 pm and were done in 2.5-3 hours. They cleaned up the area inside and outside. I'm having HVAC vents cleaned next week and they agreed to come out to tend to any areas in the attic affected by the vent cleaning contractors if necessary at no additional cost.
