I called Hoopty do last minute to see if I could have 2 shirts made by their iron press. I…read moreunderstood it was last minute and asked if they could be done today, man on the phone wasn't super friendly and said "you can drop them off now and pick them up by 7 but if you think you're going to sit and wait for them that's not gonna happen"... despite him not being friendly I said that was fine and I'd be there in 15 minutes. (I was not going to complain since I was already calling last minute). I get there in 15 minutes with my shirts, walk in, told the woman at the front that I just spoke to a gentle man about these shirts and he said I could get them done today, politely explained to her that I tried myself and messed up and I needed them for my kids for tomorrow. she said "well I can't promise they will be done today I'm swamped"... I said okay I will have to go elsewhere because I needed them THANKED HER and left. The man then CALLED MY FIANCES PHONE BACK from our earlier call and said "I NEVER TOLD YOUR FIANCÉ SHE COULD BRING IN THE SHIRTS AND THEY WOULD BE DONE AT THAT MOMENT" (with an extremely nasty attitude) my fiancé was standing with me while I was in the shop and he explained to him I never walked into the shop and mentioned I needed them done at that moment. He told the man that I never demanded the shirts be then and told him what the woman said. He said bring the shirts back I told you they'd be done by 7 tonight. I was not going to leave a review or even complain because I am last minute and I understand businesses get busy but after this man had the nerve to call us back with an attitude and say what he said is UNACCEPTABLE! I have had work done from them before and I actually referred them to others many times but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! They've lost all my business!!

Later, I asked for copies of the Illustrator and vector files and they refused to turn them over stating "we do not do that" and "they are professional files." It was really disappointing because I am very technical and I sometimes like making my own edits and design tweaks. I felt like they were forcing me to use them to do the edits (so I would need to pay them) and all the printing. I mean why can't I have the files. I paid them to make them and what are they really going to do with my files. I think the counter argument is they are artists and they own the rights. I call BS because this is not art, it is a business owner paying for a service and a product. I will not hire these guys again because I do not feel this is an honest approach to business. No one told me I could not have the files when I hired them either. Perhaps this is a difference of opinion but I will let my wallet speak by hiring another someone else for future projects.

I'd like to respond to the review by Jonathan W…read more Unique Image was sold the end of 2022 so we are unable to reply directly to the review- which was posted 3 years AFTER the poster placed the order. The details here are important to understand. This customer purchased his own shirts and only came to Unique Image (Ui) to have them printed. He had the shirts drop- shipped directly to Ui. The shirts were counted in as is the normal practice. The customer was notified immediately that the 3X shirts were not received and he should notify his vendor about the missing shirts to have them sent. Ui offered to print the shirts once they arrived. The customer was only charged for the printing of the shirts that were received, therefore no refund was warranted. Not sure what else the customer expected Ui to do for him as we were not the supplier of his shirts. Had he placed the order for the shirts with Ui we would've made sure he got them. Not sure why he's chosen to post about this 3 years later??!!
