This is a unique stop. Antiques, deli, and a sandwich shop…read more 3 buildings, no bathrooms. Almost 3 family businesses built at the same time. Nice enough. Antiques were layed out nice but expensive. The owner there was a nice guy.

The owner/manager has a sourpuss and is never friendly, welcoming, nice or asks if customers need any assistance. You can stand there while she is at the register and she will completely ignore you as if you don't exist. I had another worker come help me with my order which took forever to wait for and the manager proceeded to ring me up. I asked for mayo for my cold cuts and she tells me that the mayo packets are only for people who get sandwiches. Really now? I spent $30 on cold cuts and she was resistent on giving me a few packets of mayo which was insane to me. Then it was my aunt's turn--she was purchasing a few items and ordered a sandwich--she went to the first register and they told her it was closed so she proceeded to the second one which I was at and which the owner/manager was ringing me up on. She had a few items to purchase and ordered a sandwich. The owner/manager rang in my aunt and my aunt thought she paid for all of her items and we proceeded to go sit at a table and wait for the sandwich. She brought her items to the table and commented how they didn't give her a bag with her purchase. We thought nothing of it. We then ate, and as we were eating the owner/manager kept walking past us giving my aunt dirty looks and the evil eye. She even had her workers doing the same to us. We couldn't figure out why. So we shopped around and were getting ready to leave, and the owner/manager proceeds to say to us "are you going to pay for that cream in your bag". We were completely taken back. My aunt had no idea she didn't get rung up for the few items and because of the accusations that she was a common thief, she left her items on the counter and told them to basically shove it. How dare they! Instead of the owner saying to us that she made an innocent mistake and didn't ring her up for the few items, she followed her around instead and then accused her of being a thief as if she were a common criminal. My aunt is such a good thief that she was hiding her items on the top of the table!!! The owner had MULTIPLE opportunities to approach us and tell my aunt, I'm sorry Ma'am, but I made a mistake. I didn't ring up those items. Instead, she chose to accuse her!!!! What disgusting behavior from a woman who is in a customer service business. She was rude, disrespectful, condescending and accusatory. Wow, were we shocked! My aunt even said to her, I paid for these items--the owner tells her NO, you didn't--I didn't know those were yours on the counter when I was ringing you up! WELL then whose fault is this---certainly not OURS! What horrible, terrible behavior. And then to be followed and glared and stared at as if she is a thief. This was a HORRID EXPERIENCE!!!! Even with an apology (which the owner owes my Aunt) we will never be back and We would NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE. If you want to be disrespected, then be sure to go to this place and you will face the same fate that we did by Ms. Sourpuss herself. Not even a crack of a smile. Not even a hello and welcome or can I help you with something. Can I offer you any napkins for your food so you don't have to use your sleeve to wipe your mouth. Not even a "sure, you can have a few packets of mayo for your cold cuts which you are sitting eating at the booth and making a "SANDWICH" out of. She did say the packets were only for customers who get sandwiches, am I not CORRECT??? JUST RIDICULOUS! This is the 2nd time we've been there and her staff was just as rude the 1st time. We figured we'd give it one more shot and support a local business, but boy were we wrong to go back. We can tell you this, they will never see another penny out of our pockets. Just remember, god don't like ugly and what comes around goes around. Every dog has their day and this business is for the dogs indeed.

I first came across this place a few years ago when my wife and I visited the Berkshires. While…read morewalking by, we noticed several prints in the window that we thought would look great in our home. We decided to step inside and found even more things that caught our interest. They had a variety of items--jewelry, souvenirs, framed prints of artwork, comics, maps, and something I found particularly unique: framed book spines. As we browsed, the employee working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. Although we were initially on the fence about purchasing an art print, we ended up getting that along with some of the framed book spines. We recently returned to the area and decided to stop by again. This time, the owner was there, and he was just as friendly and helpful. A few years back, some coworkers had given me a gift certificate for the store after I told them about it. I had completely lost track of it, but the owner called his wife to see if she could locate any record of it--and within 10 minutes, they found it! We left the store with another large framed print, another book spine, and an enlarged, framed vintage train ticket from the Northeast Corridor. If you're ever in Pittsfield and looking for wall art or unique souvenirs at good prices, definitely stop by this cute store.

I really liked the oversized framed book spines of classic (and some contemporary) novels but was already $140 deep on the magnet signs lol. Otherwise I would've bought more! Added plus, the store manager gift wrapped my purchases beautifully. Would absolutely come back here next time I'm out in Western MA. Prices are (in my opinion) fair to a good value, I guess it's dependent on what your personal price point is and what you want to spend.

I thought I was done with maple weekend 2026. I had five maples on Saturday alone! But my wonderful…read morepassenger pointed out, as I headed south through Massachusetts - "oh, I think that's another maple event?" "Where?" So I looked around and saw the cars parked behind me. U-turn. Pack into the gravel lot. And... go pet the cows. Yup, this is truly a farm. The barn smells like animals and you can pet the goats. All the staff is friendly and there to explain maple, farming, whatever you'd like. For maple weekend? Excellent. We went into the Calf-a (sound that out) and there was a fairly long waitlist, but passed the time in the maple steam room with free samples! and perhaps the most interesting samples of all. Maple mustard. Various maple dips. And while they were not cheap, the staff did work together to get me some Grade B maple, which is so hard to find nowadays. It's now in my fridge. Once our names were called, we found a great variety on the menu for a very reasonable price. I got two pecan pancakes, fresh made, and my lady got one maple cranberry, made with the cranberries that were used to infuse the cranberry maple syrup. Our table got an entire pitcher of maple to pour as we pleased - yes, I do please. I took a pair of maple donuts to go, and they do not taste like cider donuts. The maple stands out. Fresh made and soft. I know maple is March, but this farm seems like a winner any time of the year you're passing by.
