Like many of the previous reviews, I had almost the exact same experience at this office…read more For the past several years, I've stayed on top of my routine cleanings and have never had any cavities or significant dental issues. After recently moving to the area, I needed to find a new dentist. At my very first appointment here, I was handed a treatment plan showing that 4-5 teeth needed work "ASAP." I immediately felt pressured to schedule all of the recommended procedures, which made me very uncomfortable. I did have one tooth that had been feeling sensitive, so I trusted that it genuinely needed a filling and scheduled an appointment to have only that tooth treated. During that visit, I was also told I should be using a special toothpaste and mouthwash. I was handed the products without any discussion of the cost, and when I checked out, I was surprised to learn I owed nearly $90 for them. As someone with dental anxiety, I was already nervous going into the filling appointment. After I was seated, the dentist again began pressuring me to schedule the additional work that had been recommended. I repeatedly declined, but the conversation continued until I became so overwhelmed that I started crying. I reluctantly had the one filling completed and left. A few months later, I returned for a cleaning and was once again pressured about the additional dental work. Between appointments, I had also received countless phone calls and text messages asking me to schedule it. During my cleaning, I asked the dental assistant to please stop bringing it up, but she continued pressing the issue. When I said I didn't want to discuss it further, she asked if it was because I couldn't afford the treatment. She then brought the dentist into the room, who warned me that my teeth would continue to decay and that if I couldn't afford the work now, it would only become more expensive later. I left that appointment in tears for the second time because I genuinely felt like I was being bullied into dental work that I wasn't comfortable agreeing to. Eventually, I had to block the office's phone numbers because the calls and texts continued for months after my first visit, asking when I would be scheduling the recommended procedures. To touch on something another reviewer mentioned, I was also repeatedly encouraged to discuss braces/Invisalign after declining multiple times. I plan to seek a second opinion from another local dentist, but I have no intention of ever returning to this office. While I can't speak to whether the recommended treatment was necessary, I can speak to how I was treated. I never felt like my concerns or boundaries were respected, and no patient should leave a dental appointment feeling pressured or in tears.

First of all, would like to give credit where credit is due. The dental staff were kind,…read moreprofessional, and did a good job. However, the reason that I'm only giving this business a single star has nothing to do with their dental care, and everything to do with their business practices and their business office. In short, I had questions and concerns around some issues with billing. I tried -numerous times- to call and speak with the billing department and/or a manager. Over 6 times, at least. I would either get a recording where it instructed that I leave my name and number (which I did) for a callback, or I would speak with the receptionist who would inform me that the business office and/or a manager were unavailable but would get back to me. But they never did. Even though in later calls, I told the receptionist that my calls were not returned - and she promised they would be. I also gave them my email, on the small chance (not likely, many businesses have successfully called me) that the phone number was not working. I got my bills emailed to me, no issue - but no responses to my questions. It's unfortunate that I had this experience, as I said the dental staff were nice and fine. But I will not be returning, nor can I recommend the business to anyone due to the issues I had reaching them to discuss my bills (which were never resolved... in the end, I paid them, because I don't want a mark on my credit). Extremely unprofessional, in my opinion.

I personally have had my problems with my teeth and ever since I started going to this location my life has been feeling much better. Set your day up to wait to get in because their clientel is growing due to there professionalism. Its hard to wait sometimes but what helps me get through it is knowing my teeth will be treated by people who know what they are doing. Get your teeth looked at and if needed treated here, you will not regret it !

This cleaning was…read moredone by temporary hygienists because the practice was sold from its original, amazing owner to a new dentist who cannot keep staff. The cleanings were subpar at best. We were charged $700 for two cleanings, gouged for every nickel and dime and charged for things that we never asked for. Thank goodness Jaime at the front desk had the foresight to make it right for us. She did refund what she could and give us a discount for our troubles. The office is so disorganized that two weeks later I got a call stating that they refunded the entire balance to us when, in fact, they did not and only refunded what we were owed. This office is a mess, do not recommend.

Front desk receptionist was very friendly but beyond that x-rays will be slow and painful, Dentist comes in and immediately points you in direction for costly treatment with minimal exam. Went in for regular cleaning and was told I needed a deep cleaning but didn't receive one but was still charged for one. The cleaning itself was mediocre at best. Got more water on my face and running down my neck than I did in my mouth. Didn't fill like a thorough cleaning much less a deep cleaning. If you're looking for a new dentist, I strongly suggest you keep looking and don't waste your time with this one.

We started seeing him before he joined Lanier Dental Partners, and we followed him there. We all go every 6 months for a cleaning, even during Covid. My children sat in my wife's lap as babies so they wouldn't grow up scared of the dentist. There has also been the occasional dental emergency. EVERY TIME we paid immediately after the appointment was over. For twenty years we have lived at the same address and had the same phone number. Dr Palmer recently retired and I am not very happy with Dr. Patel, his replacement. Recently, every time we go, they insist we fill out a medical history form, even if nothing has changed. The last time I went in for an appointment it was the same thing but then, the woman at the desk asked for a copy of my Driver's License. Remember, for twenty years we pay as soon as the appointment is over and we've lived in the same house. They really have no need to ask for my Driver's License. I decided we would just find another dentist and cancelled all our upcoming appointments. Now, they can legally ask for my Driver's License. However there is a lot of identity theft going on in the world. If hackers can breach large companies like AT&T, Equifax, Visa etc., how easy is it to breach Lanier Dental Partners? I would not advise anyone to have their Drivers License copied unless you have to for insurance reasons. I am in the finance business and 4 or 5 times a year we hear from our clients that someone stole their I.D. Businesses like Lanier Dental Partners have a policy in place that makes your identity accessible. I would think twice before you hand over that information. On February 7, Dr Patel sent me a Certified Letter "firing" us from her practice because I refused to give them my license. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this practice. They only want to check the boxes and have forgotten they are dealing with real people. The letter from Dr. Patel is just one more example. I would have never done this review, but Dr. Patel just went too far. P.S.
