Dear Insomnia, I arrived at your EAV location last night and was immediately drawn in by the smell of fresh cookies, toasted almond, and vanilla extract. My happy thoughts were immediately activated as I walked to the counter considering what cookies I wanted. Once at the register, I was surprised to see the new cookies of which one was the Apple Pie Cookie. I asked the staffer at the register if it was good and she told me she loved it. Based on her recommendation, I ordered one along with a few other of my Insomnia favorites and waited for my cookie box. When my cookies were handed to me, the box was calling my name. I went to the back counter and opened it and oh my gosh. My box smelled like Happy Holidays and Family Gatherings. I was exciteddddddddd. I immediately bit into the Apple Pie Cookie and my world was forever changed. I don't know what in the Insomnia Cookie Scientist is going on in the kitchen, but the way you have put an entire Apple Pie into one deliciously amazing cookie has me baffled. Really wish they had a location near morrow, Fayetteville, Jonesboro or Riverdale have to drive all the way to Atlanta for cookies kinda sucks :( (they don't deliver to my area) But my cookies I ordered were good it was my first time trying insomnia. Our first time trying this spot was in a Wednesday night when they weren't that busy. We were in and out in about 10 mins and found parking easily behind the building which was surprising. Parking is either a hit or miss so pack your patience when looking for a or being a friend to run in for you while you circle the block lol. We got a set of 4 deluxe cookies plus the blondie that comes with 2 toppings. I chose the knockoff Nutella topping with caramel. All together we spent a little under $30, which may seem expensive (and it is) but it was totally worth it. They guy that was working that night was super helpful and patient. Tip: when they are super busy I would strongly suggest that you place an order online because we took our daughter back the next day (don't judge, she got a lot of awards for honors day ;-)) and waited 30+ minutes for 2 cookies and an ice cream topped cookie. read more

Here is my experience - When I walked in, the workers were in the back, which is fine BUT there also was a tray of cookies that they just left on the counter by the register. I was unaware you could only do the regular cookies for the 6 pack - not deluxe - and there were about 10 choices. He said there are too many cookies to name what's in stock - which is fine but I still think he could've just told me what he didn't have instead, if telling me what he did have was too cumbersome or difficult. The service here is sub par. It's a cookie shop. They are not making complex items. I went a few weeks ago and they locked the door (with customers inside) so the line wouldn't get long (fire hazard much)? No one wants to service customers anymore, which is sad considering they sell a dozen cookies girl like $16. Also, I drove from my house recently to get cookies only to be informed that you could only order online, even though there were employees working behind the counter. I haven't had these cookies in years and was looking forward to them. Unfortunately, I didn't get what I wanted. The size used to be one of the many highlights and now they're so much smaller. The chocolate chunk are still very good, but the macadamia cookies aren't. The red velvet was terrible. Now onto the location. The wait time was abysmal. I placed the order online and it still took an additional 30-40 minutes to receive my order. They could've at least offered something for the wait, but NO!!! Well I like this spot a little more than the other one . They have a smaller location but it's in East Atlanta a place that I frequently visit in my daily routine . I like it when I first started coming because they were a lot faster but as of recent they have slowed down in the distribution , I guess because they have new people working and the service has slow down tremendously but I would give it 5 but service time is important to me even during the pandemic . It is very clean and they have a great presentation but other than the slow service I do recommend this location . My review is based on my pick-up experience. This one is a location in the East Atlanta Village area. I've heard so much about Insomnia Cookies, and it really lived up to the hype! When I arrived around 10:30pm, there was a long line, but the wait was actually very short. Thankfully, everyone in front of me seemed to know what they wanted! I got a white chocolate macadamia cookie and a chocolate chunk! Soooo so good! The cookies were very soft, fresh and warm. As soon as I was done ordering, they were pulling a batch out of the oven and he grabbed mine from that batch! Yass! The traditional cookies are $1.75 per cookie. I think the deluxe are 3.50. They also have different packages and other things like cookie ice cream sandwiches, or you could just add a scoop of ice cream to your cookie. No issues. I'm talking about what appears to be a deliberate decision on the part of the store personnel to put all of the oldest, most over baked, dried out cookies, brookies and brownies into their delivery orders. I ordered from them twice and had horrible experiences both times - missing cookies, crunchy brownies, etc. I too almost a year off from having anything delivered from there, but I've had such great in-store experiences that I figured I'd try again.
