I went to the back counter and opened it and oh my gosh. My box smelled like Happy Holidays and Family Gatherings. I was exciteddddddddd. I immediately bit into the Apple Pie Cookie and my world was forever changed. I don't know what in the Insomnia Cookie Scientist is going on in the kitchen, but the way you have put an entire Apple Pie into one deliciously amazing cookie has me baffled. Our first time trying this spot was in a Wednesday night when they weren't that busy. We were in and out in about 10 mins and found parking easily behind the building which was surprising. Parking is either a hit or miss so pack your patience when looking for a or being a friend to run in for you while you circle the block lol. We got a set of 4 deluxe cookies plus the blondie that comes with 2 toppings. I chose the knockoff Nutella topping with caramel. All together we spent a little under $30, which may seem expensive (and it is) but it was totally worth it. They guy that was working that night was super helpful and patient. I agree with some of the other reviewers in that the customer service was subpar. Here is my experience - When I walked in, the workers were in the back, which is fine BUT there also was a tray of cookies that they just left on the counter by the register. I thought that was kind of unsanitary and possibly even a health code violation. Then when the staff member came out, I asked him for a 6 pack and what cookies he had in stock. I was unaware you could only do the regular cookies for the 6 pack - not deluxe - and there were about 10 choices. He said there are too many cookies to name what's in stock - which is fine but I still think he could've just told me what he didn't have instead, if telling me what he did have was too cumbersome or difficult. The cookies are over priced- they charge you $3-4 for a cookie smaller than the size of a nestle tollhouse. This place used to be good, but something is off with the recipe. The service here is sub par. It's a cookie shop. They are not making complex items. I went a few weeks ago and they locked the door (with customers inside) so the line wouldn't get long (fire hazard much)? No one wants to service customers anymore, which is sad considering they sell a dozen cookies girl like $16. Also, I drove from my house recently to get cookies only to be informed that you could only order online, even though there were employees working behind the counter. Well I like this spot a little more than the other one . They have a smaller location but it's in East Atlanta a place that I frequently visit in my daily routine . I like it when I first started coming because they were a lot faster but as of recent they have slowed down in the distribution , I guess because they have new people working and the service has slow down tremendously but I would give it 5 but service time is important to me even during the pandemic . When I arrived around 10:30pm, there was a long line, but the wait was actually very short. Thankfully, everyone in front of me seemed to know what they wanted! I got a white chocolate macadamia cookie and a chocolate chunk! Soooo so good! The cookies were very soft, fresh and warm. As soon as I was done ordering, they were pulling a batch out of the oven and he grabbed mine from that batch! Yass! The traditional cookies are $1.75 per cookie. I think the deluxe are 3.50. They also have different packages and other things like cookie ice cream sandwiches, or you could just add a scoop of ice cream to your cookie. No issues.
