I've now had several sprays done both interior and exterior and the last time was so quick it makes me question the legitimacy. This isn't the first time I've felt the treatment was rushed or incomplete. Because my landlord has been paying for quarterly treatments, I was expecting better. Now heading into the second year, there's no comparison to the first time they ever came. It's almost as if they did a good job initially to set an expectation they never intended to maintain. What's really sad is how poor their ratings are. If it wasn't for mine, they'd be even lower. Just don't. Their door to door guy was aggressive and even after four polite "no thank you", the guy started raising his voice and proceeded to insult me for not signing up. I just shut the door and he kept on yelling and raging, saying I was stupid for not listening to him while shaking his fist and pointing at me as he was going across the front of my house. This company is a scam. They ask you to sign a service agreement, and after the term ends, they auto-renew the contract without your consent. Even if you don't use their services, they still charge a cancellation fee. If you refuse to pay, they will send you to a collection agency until you make the payment. Insight pest came to my door offering services in the neighbourhood. The sales guy was very shady in the way he presented the "4 treatments" contract. No cancellation was ever mentioned before he shoved a contract in my face to agree to the treatments. After the first treatment and a free call back I had more ants and wasps in my yard than I ever had before. I asked to cancel any further treatments and was met with a $200+ cancellation fee. So now I'm supposed to be out over $400 for a service that didn't work. I should have read the reviews prior to signing up as it seems this is fairly common. I have received other pest control services and they have always worked after the first treatment. It makes sense that they need to rope you into a contract because no one would ever call for a repeat service since it doesn't work. read more

They placed 5 mouse bait boxes in my home. I asked first if they were safe around pets and was told they were. I continued to have mice in my home, many of which my cat caught and partially ate. When she vomited I researched the 'poison' ingredient and discovered that it (Bromadiolone) even as secondary poisoning, can be detrimental to pets. I had the boxes returned by the technician and requested compensation from the company for this portion of my service. To no avail. Research the active ingredients in their products. I believe this company's commercial service uses deceptive automatic renewal charges. If the sales representative had informed me about the automatic renewal in the one-year agreement, I would not have signed the contract. I already paid four checks for the first year and received four services. However, they automatically charged me for a fifth service without providing any service. Review: I hired Insight Pest Solutions in Toronto to remove a wasp nest directly outside my front door. Unfortunately, my experience was very concerning. The technician sprayed an aerosol product without providing any safety guidelines or health precautions. Within minutes, the chemical smell spread throughout my entire home. When I raised concerns, both the technician on-site and the company by phone told me it was "impossible" and dismissed the issue. Poison Control Ontario gave me very different guidance, advising me to vacate and ventilate because of the health risks. I had to remain outside my home for over 8 hours, wearing a mask when I went back in. At no point did the company ask about ventilation, the age of my home, or whether anyone inside had health conditions -- all of which should matter when using chemicals so close to a front entry. I was left feeling that my family's health and safety were minimized. I'm sharing this so that others in the community are aware and can make an informed decision. I'm writing this review as a reflection of their shady business practices. They visited our home which has zero ants/spiders/whatever pest problems and misled my mom into signing a yearly contract before beginning work. My mom mentioned she wanted to consult me but the rep told her she can sign first, and then just cancel later. I looked over the lengthy contract and it has wording that has a termination fee. Beware this company and their door-to-door salesman claiming false guarantees, as well as their treatment will wreck your baseboards. Last summer we had a door-to-door sales man make their pitch for the company to service our home, "100% money back guarantee as long as you try 4 services and 2 follow ups," he said. I told him to add that to the contract if that was the case and then I would agree to give them a try. Flash forward 4 services and 2 follow ups later and all of our baseboards got stained from an interior spray treatment follow up and we still have many bugs. After complaining twice about the baseboard and following up SEVERAL times looking for an answer, TWO months later I get a final answer and the company agreed to pay for a painter to fix our baseboards.... But I had to find the painter and get them a quote as they were too busy and didn't have the time. The company is also stating that the salesman's claimed false guarantees in their pitch and refused to give us our 100% money back guarantee even though I had the original contract that showed where the salesman additionally wrote, "interior warranty". The company is telling me they will not be hiring that salesman back again and will be taking back his commission earned on the sale, yet says their administration office does not believe me that the conversation was had in order to honour my 100% satisfaction guarantee. How does that make sense? Insight Pest Solutions needs to train their employees to be an honest face of their company and not just make up false guarantees and add words to contracts just to make a quick sale and when your salesman DO make false guarantees you need to stand by the promises that your company made and do right by the customer. Insight Pest Solutions needs to train their technicians so that they know how to properly complete an interior spray before they go into a home and wreck/stain baseboards. I should have read the 32 percent bad reviews on trust pilot , this is a door to door scam . I hired them for rat boxes and pest control , 2 weeks later I had a bug infestation and saw a silverfish . I cancelled , instead of refunding me and they charged me 289 cad for the cancellation as stated in the signed contract agreement instead of giving me a refund for ZERO SERVICE . Legal sure , ethical , not . All together almost 600 cad for nothing . The phone number on the rat boxes is also out of service . I AM 60 YRS OLD AND DISABLED on a small pension . Warning: none of their 5 star reviews on google are real. They train sales reps how to mislead people, at their front door. After a good explanation, you finally are convinced its legit, you give your cc and sign (once), then service starts a day later. You check your email and discover multiple forged signatures for a year contract of $1000+, with no ability to cancel. Forging and misleading people into contracts is illegal in Canada. I encourage anyone who had this experience, to file a complaint to the anti-fraud centre. They are a big franchise that needs to sued by the best lawyers in North America. read more

I am furious that I even have to post this review, but service should be acknowledged whether great or bad. I am posting for the lack of service given to it and the action to it by their Supervisor. We had several visits, bait stations and sticky traps put down for mice. Every visit was the same thing. Second to last visit I showed the technician a possible entry point. I was told not to worry about it and put some steel wool in there. Why am I having to put the steel wool in there when it is their job? The problem persisted and I knew that we were only a cash grab for them. I asked them to cease my appts. I then called in another Pest guy, the best ever!! He located all the entry points, put copper mesh down where needed, planned out the next stage of attack, etc. Within ONE week, no more mice!!! He then came back, finished with the copper mesh and did another inspection, etc. In 2 weeks, we have had 3 successful visits. When I called Insight to speak to them about lack of service, it went nowhere. They came back to me and said no monies would be refunded, etc and basically, they do not stand by their guarantee nor their service. It is pathetic that we have had to endure this and their lack of conscious as they do not care. I was also told by the supervisor that they only use the copper mesh in the winter and if they have it on them. What......are you kidding me? Incompetent to say the least. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I hired Insight Pet Solutions for pest control, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did the service fail to address the ongoing ant problem (they're still everywhere), but their customer service and business practices are downright shady. At the time of my last service, I was explicitly told by two different service representatives that it would be my final treatment. They assured me there would be no need for further visits unless I called. Yet, despite these clear assurances, I was charged twice as much when they automatically renewed my service without notifying me -- this was buried in the fine print of their contract that they never disclosed upfront. To make matters worse, they trespassed on my property while I was out of town and continued to provide services without my consent. I never asked for this, nor did I authorize any further visits. When I tried to get a refund, I was met with radio silence. Their lack of accountability, disregard for customer consent, and failure to resolve the issue have left me furious. Girlfriends mom hired the service for Spiders (gf hates earwigs) and mice (gf mom hates mice). After the worker was finished I talked to him. We have 3 dogs, 2 small and 1 large. I asked him what was done and he told me. I asked about our dogs he said wait one hour for the sprays to dry. No problem. Then I realized he had placed bait/poison boxes for mice. So, I inquired about them. I asked if they were safe, he said the dogs could not get into them. I asked "What if, a mouse eats poison, leaves the box, dies in the yard and then my dogs get it and are poisoned because of this." This guy could not/would not say that this is a possibility and that the posion takes an hour to kill (everytime, maybe?), IMPLYING that it was UNLIKELY to happen, not saying so specifically. He left. I'm not stupid and know that this isn't something he could confirm could not happen. I called the Insight Pest control Solutions phone number. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE, AND I QUOTE TOLD ME THAT THE RODENTICIDE IN THE BOXES DOES NOT AFFECT DOGS. Only kils mice. Also they said in the same call that IF MY PETS SHOULD BE ATTRACTED TO ANY OF THE PRODUCTS ONLY THEN SHOULD I GIVE THEM A CALL. Why would that be a problem if the products are 100% safe? I had the attendant on the phone confirm a second time that they had said the rodenticide does not affect dogs. I google searched for this magical poison product and found no such product. This Spring 2024, we have never seen that many ants in the house!!! We used to see one or two ants here and there and now, it's an invasion!! Its all about money for this company and will send you to NRC (debt collector). Called them today to tell them of my situation but refused to entertain me as im already in NRC's hand. And that i should deal with them now. First of all, who ever that person that did door to door sale, i clearly told you over and over not to do the treatment before my go signal as i already paid a pest control that was scheduled much later. And then i found out they did pest control spray (that u could barely tell) when nobody was home, and receipt was in the door handle. He will rushly make u do the initial on paper and then not give u all the information that it is a quarterly contract . He made it sound like it was 1 treatment with a 1 time payment of 175. Learn from me, read, and dont trust what they said even though they look like they are the nicest person. So now I supposedly owe them more than 400 per NRC. And i have to pay NRC right away because i dont have a lot of time and they will send my file to credit bureu which could greatly affect my credit score .
