I wanted to come on here to let you know that the managers and staff are some of the most professional and kindest folks I have come across in a shopping venue. I had an issue that required some attention by the manager and within 10 minutes, my issue was resolved with a simple solution and a smile. Thank you, Billy (manager) and Marisol (cashier in the liquor dept. ) for making my already busy day come to a pleasant end. You handled my situation professionally and swiftly. Do yourself a favor and visit this store and be amazed at how easy it is to shop with ease!

As I was checking out at the self-checkout (in a different lane), the woman working the register continued to stare at me with a look of anger or disgust. Lidl is a new grocery shopping stop for me. Since the Paramus location opening last month, I've…read morebeen hitting up Lidl on Rt. 17 a couple of times already. I am a Lidl fan now. I like the German pretzels from the bakery section. Lidl also has a variety of tasty and affordable Indian frozen dinners. My husband is a big fan of having a few of these in our freezer at home as backups for very busy work nights when we don't have time to cook. I like some of their home brand snacks. The self-check out area has about 6 or so stations, so I haven't ever been on a line really. There are also register aisles, but I've really just seen staff at the self-check out area. There's ample parking in the shopping plaza where the Paramus location is situated. I will get a cart from one of the outside pens and push it to the store. If you have little ones, there are also mini Lidl carts that they can push around along with you - very cute!

I like this Lidl because it is well stocked the majority of the time and their customer service is always good. And there's always parking. I shop here mainly for fresh fruits and veggies, chicken and fish, nuts and Alkaline water. I've tried some of their brand items and they are ok. Lidl consistently carries some name brand items like Goya, Ocean Spray, Poland Spring and others, which I like. Lidl sells freshly baked croissants for $.49. If you can get your hands on them, they are delish. Overall, this is one of my go to markets to shop.

However, when I have those "oh nuts (usually don't use such plain language) I forgot...." this is where I can go. However, I need to plan to use up at least 10 minutes figuring out the layout of this store. It's quite hard to explain because when you walk in, you don't think anything of it. Then you turn a corner and go "oh nuts". If you go in, you'll understand. Other than that, it was renovated a few years back and looks bright and clean. I don't have a problem with their selection, and they even have a lot of good things that are ready to eat.

Very disappointing experience at The Hive in Monsey. I found Shabbos lamps clearly marked at…read more$24.70, but when I got to the register, they rang up at $39.99. I immediately pointed out the discrepancy, and the cashier called the manager. The manager went back to check the price and verified that I was correct-- the lamps were in fact marked $24.70. Yet, instead of honoring the displayed price, they refused and said it was a "mistake." To make matters worse, they told me I should come back tomorrow and argue it further, and maybe they would honor the $24.70 price then. I explained that I live half an hour away and work, and I simply don't have the time to make another trip to the store because of a pricing mistake that was theirs. I honestly cannot understand this level of customer service. If your store has an item clearly marked $24.70, a customer brings the discrepancy to your attention, and your manager personally verifies that the item is marked $24.70, why should the customer have to come back another day and fight for the price? It's not about the $15 difference. It's about how you treat your customers and taking responsibility for your own mistake. Instead of making things right, they essentially told me to waste more of my time coming back to argue about it. Very disappointing. I wont be coming back!
