I like the German pretzels from the bakery section. Lidl also has a variety of tasty and affordable Indian frozen dinners. My husband is a big fan of having a few of these in our freezer at home as backups for very busy work nights when we don't have time to cook. I like some of their home brand snacks. The self-check out area has about 6 or so stations, so I haven't ever been on a line really. There are also register aisles, but I've really just seen staff at the self-check out area. There's ample parking in the shopping plaza where the Paramus location is situated. I will get a cart from one of the outside pens and push it to the store. If you have little ones, there are also mini Lidl carts that they can push around along with you - very cute!

I like this Lidl because it is well stocked the majority of the time and their customer service is always good. And there's always parking. I shop here mainly for fresh fruits and veggies, chicken and fish, nuts and Alkaline water. I've tried some of their brand items and they are ok. Lidl consistently carries some name brand items like Goya, Ocean Spray, Poland Spring and others, which I like. Lidl sells freshly baked croissants for $.49. If you can get your hands on them, they are delish. Overall, this is one of my go to markets to shop.

Worst experience I've ever had!…read more I placed an online order for Friday morning delivery to Montebello. Although the billing address on my credit card is in Brooklyn, the delivery address was clearly listed as Montebello. The order never arrived. I tried calling the store, but no one answered. I called multiple extensions, left messages for both the delivery department and the online order department, and never received a return call. Since I couldn't get any information, I sent my son to the store. That's when we learned that the order had been canceled without any notification because of the Brooklyn billing address, despite the delivery address being Montebello. My son had to pick up the order himself. To make matters worse, I was still charged a shopper tip and a delivery tip--even though there was no shopper or delivery. My son did the pickup. I returned to the store on Sunday to request refunds for those charges. I was told the credits would be processed, but I still haven't received them. There was also no manager available who had the authority to resolve the issue. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The lack of communication, the unexplained cancellation, the inability to reach anyone by phone, and being charged for services that were never provided are completely unacceptable. I also left a message with customer service, but based on my experience so far, I'm not optimistic that anyone will return my call.

That's pretty accurate. The workers don't look happy, but they are busy. There's usually 2 cashiers up front. The younger lady that looks to be in her 30's will at least speak. The other cashier looks like a sweet old grandma, but is surprisingly rude. In my experience, she doesn't speak when I say hi, I'll ask for a bag and she'll place it on the belt instead of my outstretched hand, she doesn't say thank you. At first I thought maybe she's just tired and having a bad day. Nope. Been in the store several times since and noticed grandma picks and choose who she's going to bless with a little customer service! I've seen her smile and talk up some, while stone face ignoring others. Even if grandma is a little crotchety at times, I am glad to see she's still out here being active and working.

They are a small but well stocked mini supermarket that also sells booze. Their prices are.....Well, I don't really know because it's the only place I ever shop. I assume that they're higher than say, Shop Rite but I'm not sure and for me, convenience is number 1. Parking is easy and they are never, ever crowded. Worth mentioning is that if you're looking for a deli counter or elaborate prepared foods, look elsewhere; Maywood Market for example. If you need variety and like to pick and choose amongst multiple brands and sizes, again, not your best choice. But if you need to get the basics, they really can't be beat. My go to place because I really go to no place else.
