I first saw Dr. Root for a trigger thumb surgery -- that I had needed for 2+ years. Dr. Root fixed it up perfectly. My thumbs function perfectly again. Dr. Root listened to me, answered my questions thoroughly, and never made me feel badly for not taking care of my trigger thumb years earlier. The entire process from start to finish was such a great experience. I decided to see what else I could get fixed while I was at the NOC office. So I wandered over to Dr. Ochiai's bay and scheduled an appointment for chronic knee and hip pain. Turns out I had a labral tear that I had been overcompensating for probably a decade or more. Dr. Ochiai was thorough at every appointment. He answered all of my questions. He never made me feel rushed or like I was asking stupid questions. Over the course of one year, Dr. Ochiai took me through other nonsurgical options, such as physical therapy b/c I was hesitant to have such major surgery. Finally, surgery day. I felt very comfortable. Doctor Ochiai did a fantastic job and even showed me the pictures (b/c I was interested) he took of the surgery. Around 2-3 months post surgery, with PT, I'm healing well. I'm walking normally again and even dancing. My follow-up visits with Dr. Ochiai have been great. As per usual, Dr. Ochiai is thorough, kind, and always remembers to ask me about my progress in school. He's my absolute favorite!! I'm glad that I don't have anything else that needs repairing BUT if I did, I trust Dr. Ochiai and the other docs at NOC to take care of me. Thank you Dr. O! Thanks Dr. Root!! Thanks NOC!!

After months of ankle and foot pain, my PT referred me to Dr. Buchanan and after the first visit, I knew I was on the right path to healing. He was very pleasant and patient with all my questions and concerns and clearly explained what was going on with my foot. I had ankle ligament reconstruction a year ago and my foot is now better than ever. The office was great to work with on scheduling appointments, the PA Jessica was fabulous, and the surgery was very straightforward. One thing I really liked was the detailed instructions for pre and post surgical care. This established realistic expectations for my recovery and something I could refer back to when needed. They are a very caring and helpful group of people and I will continue to use them for my joint care.

When I walked in I was immediately greeted by 1 of 3 receptionist and handed her my referral form. She asked for my ID and insurance card and had me fill out some information. She was very friendly and explained everything to me. I waited only about 10 minutes before the tech, Scott, called me back. He was friendly and explained the test they were going to do and how it would work and really made me feel comfortable. Once the doctor came in, Dr. Griffith, she asked if I had anymore questions or wanted things explained again. When I said no,she even told me that if I remembered something or a question came up during the procedure to interrupt her and she'll answer it. It was very refreshing that the doctor actually took the time to make sure I understood what was going on and made sure I really didn't have any questions. The procedure itself was pretty painful, but Dr. Griffith and Scott were very supportive and helped me deal with it without making me feel like a wimp. Dr. Griffith was actually performing it, but Scott was by my side the whole time and reminded me to breathe and rubbed my arm, not in a creepy, weird way, but in a caring and supportive way. The actual test sucked, but they made a not so great experience bearable and for that I'm very grateful.

I made 7 attempts to reschedule an appointment with Dr. Granada. In doing so, I routinely waited on hold for more than 25 minutes, only to receive unhelpful return calls from his office instructing me to call the office for an appointment...which started the process of waiting on hold and receiving an unhelpful return message all over again. After a week of attempt to reschedule the appointment Dr. Granada missed, I received a message that the doctor would be unavailable for appointments for the entire following week. This practice and this doctor do not have any care or concern for their patients at all. RUN!

So…read morewhen I had to get an endoscopy and colonoscopy, I felt like I was going to be in good hands. When we arrived, the door said to call the office and someone would meet you to ask some questions and take your temperature. The nurse was friendly and just asked some screening questions for COVID-19 precautions. (Note: You do have to get a negative COVID-19 test before coming). I signed some papers and gave him my paperwork (my doctor gave it to me ahead of time). He lead me inside and I sat until my appointment time. The waiting room was socially distanced, had wifi, and good AC. I was asked to verify my name and birthdate on my bracelet and then was escorted back to my bed. I don't remember the nurse's name for this part, but she took my vitals and put my IV in. Unfortunately, I've been hospitalized multiple times so I was used to this part. We talked lightly about her kids and my job until the anesthesiologist came. I was extremely nervous, to say the least. Dr. Bielamowicz ("Dr. B.") was a wonderful person and made me feel that everything was going to be okay. We also celebrated that I was getting my second vaccine dose and talked about our lives. I had a million worries and questions and she calmed me down. I am so grateful I had her on my team. When it was time to get rolled in for the procedures, Erica came and helped. She was really kind as well. We all gabbed together about nails. Dr. Han Ton-That was my GI doc doing the procedure. He is also amazing and likes to joke around with you to get you to laugh. When I had to put the mouth guard in for the endoscopy, all my worries came back and I started crying. Erica and Dr. B soothed me into my sleep very quickly and said everything was going to be okay. All I remember is waking up with my glasses on (I don't remember putting them on LOL), with a snack and water on my lap. My GI doc had all my papers ready to go and shared my results (I signed them ahead of time). I don't recall my post-op nurse's name, but she was patient when I was getting my bearings and asked if I wanted more snacks. She gave me a chair to sit in to put my clothes on too and walked me to the waiting room to be discharged. I don't know why this place has such bad reviews. They made it as pleasant as they can and make you feel that you are going to be okay. Don't go anywhere else for these procedures! This place is the best.

I would come in 15 minutes early and sit there for upwards of 45 minutes before going to a room and then sit in the room for another 30 minutes. Here - they must be scheduling wizards because on the three visits I have had, I was checked in, sat for about a minute (ok, maybe 5... maybe) and was then seen by the assistant and then within minutes the physician. An appointment that would have taken my close to two hours previously was like 20 minutes. I LOVE THAT. Not only that, everyone, from the front receptionist to Dr. Sobhani was courteous, attentive and helpful. Top-notch medical care, efficiently... isn't that what we all want?

But for the last three visits, I was taken into a room 15-20 minutes late with no explanation. My appointment should take no more than 15-20 minutes. If I had not left 45 minutes later on my own, I don't know how long I would have sat in that room waiting for the PA. Today I had a 9:15 AM appointment. I waited 20 minutes after my appointment time to be put in a room finally at 9:35 AM, . Once in the room, I waited an additional 15 minutes for the doctor to come in. When Dr. Kaas came in, and she explained she was held up for personal reasons. I then waited for the PA to come in to finish the visit and she did not show up at all. I waited another 20 minutes and I decided to leave. I am 67 years old and have NEVER left a doctor's office in my life. I told the front desk why I left. Five minutes after leaving, I received a phone call from the PA who told me they were short staffed. She invited me to come in today at my convenience to complete the treatment, but I could not. I will not be returning to this practice. This all could have been avoided by a kind explanation at any point in time while I was in the office.

I lost 17 pounds not quickly, but fairly easily with his guidance. Most stuff can be handled via email so I don't need to take off work. Highly responsive. Not a pill pusher, but highly respects my ability to make choices for my body even if it isn't the choice he would make. Financially I was able to pair his fee with a slightly higher deductible plan at work. The combination of the two was actually less than what I was paying working for a school system and I get significantly better care.

He is a very caring PCP, but I think where he lacks is experience. In all honesty, if you get a cold, or a cut, he is amazing. But if you get a bout of meningitis or another illness which is chronic in nature - i would stay away until his practice matures. I have total faith, it will. He's definitely not a 1 star doc and he is trying his best to be a 5 star. To me, Dr. Joffee is a 2 star only because I have seen better, thats all. In my opinion, to most he is probably a 3-4 stars.

I found the receptionist to be very professional, funny, and helpful to the point of letting me email her a form that I forgot to bring with me, so she could print it for me, so that I could get the doc to fill it out. The fellow who draws the blood and takes vitals is funny, friendly, and professional, as well, and very good at his job. Hit the vein on the first go when drawing blood. I wish the folks at the Red Cross could do that! As for Dr. Moghissi, I have seen her twice. Once when I first went in and became a patient, and had blood drawn. She gave me a physical, and talked with me for almost an hour about what I wanted from my relationship with her practice, what my goals were, what my history was, etc. I found her to be very professional, very friendly, and very interested in helping me be more healthy. (I am not a paragon of mid-40s health) And on my return visit to discuss my results, she again sat with me and thoroughly explained my results, what the numbers all meant, and offered suggestions and recommendations for things I could do to change things that need to be changed. 2 hours of a doctor's time in 2 visits is probably the most time I've ever spent with a doctor. And while she recommended some supplements to me to help with some deficiencies I have, she did not try to sell me anything, or recommend any specific brand's of anything to take.
