I've been in a few times for miscellaneous household projects, and the owner/manager/tall white haired guy that's always there, can always sense when you're looking for something or are in a conundrum. He comes right over and offers his help and direction. And he is so knowledgeable and helpful! I feel like my grandpa is helping me decide which product to use, or teaching me which is best, it's a wonderful little notion. I don't know what his name is yet, but he is a genuine soul, and I love that. They are a paint and blind store, mostly. But they do sell the other odds and ends you'd expect at a small, local hardware store. Some tools and random things you need to get jobs done around the house. Paint, wallpaper, blinds, and painting supplies abound. My favorite thing about Wallpaper City so far (aside from Grandpa) is that they handwrite and add up their receipts! I can't believe it. I haven't seen that in, well, maybe never. It strikes me as the cutest thing ever! Although, in this age, it isn't paper-friendly. Ahh! What the heck, it is cute and makes the transaction feel very personal, I like it a lot. They were hard working, efficient, considerate of us and our neighbors, cleaned up at the end of each day, and they completed the job within the estimated timeline and right on budget, even though they did extra work outside the contract, because they wanted the work done completely with high quality. Also, Kieran is easy and accessible for discussions and update reports, all in person. Kieran personally managed his crew each day, and he made sure everything was done to a high standard.
