When we signed up, they told us the cameras would be ours, after we pay them off. Trouble with the system began immediately after the installation. The company sent out several technicians to repair the problem. Nothing was fixed correctly. My contract was cancelled, and we didn't have to finish the contract.The only thing they didn't mention was the cameras wouldn't work, if you were not with their business. Next set were cameras from a local company. Didn't work...even had 2 electricians check them. Saw an ad on tv for 806 Security Solutions. Owner, Stephen Johnson, came out and set up our cameras and panel in one day. He is reliable and knowledgeable about the system. Thank goodness we called someone that knew what he was doing!!

Your technical support, on the other hand, is trash. I had an appointment today for y'all to come fix my doorbell camera. I was given an 8AM-Noon time window. I work nights. I DON'T do 8AM, but I wanted this fixed, so I scheduled it. Got up at 8AM and by 11:40, nobody had shown up. That's when I got on live chat and started getting canned answers like "the technician has been dispatched", and telling me the technician is in my area and should be contacting me soon. What a load of crap. I was told I could receive a call from a supervisor "in a couple of minutes". That didn't happen. I finally had to call and talk to a live supervisor, who proceeded to inform me that the tech assigned my work order WAS OUT OF TOWN DOING AN INSTALL!!!!! I asked if my order could be transferred to a tech who's actually in town, and was told NO. You mean to tell me that, in a city of nearly 250,000 people, there is not ONE single tech that can jump on this and make it right?!?!?!?! I've lost a lot of respect for Vivint, and it's going to take more than a damn $42 credit to get that back. You have to earn it. All I proceeded to get from that supervisor was the token apology, which I got sick of hearing, and an offer to reschedule. Today was the best day for me, and that's why I scheduled it for TODAY!!!!! I held up my end of the bargain and got my butt up at 8AM for this, and wasted the next 5 hours, only to be shown that my time MEANS NOTHING!!!!!! I told that supervisor that it appears Vivint had gone the way of AT&T and others. Good sales and service at the time of sale, but absolute CRAP going forward. I don't really want to do business with Vivint anymore, but I feel like I'm stuck. There has to be someone out there who cares about their customers months and years down the road. There just has to be. Expecting me to be available in a time window, only to have y'all blow it off: NOT COOL!!!!!! Lying to me and telling me the tech is in the area and will be contacting me soon: NOT COOL!!!!! Seemingly not getting a phone call from anyone at Vivint because they really want to solve an issue: NOT COOL!!!!!! Wanting YOU to call them, wanting YOU to log on to their website, wanting YOU to initiate anything at this point: NOT COOL!!!!!! Best Buy was going to charge me extra for this reason, on top of an already expensive fee to do the job. So I called A & E Electronics, and they were able to schedule me a sooner appointment than anyone else, and at a fair price! They were professional, knowledgable, and efficient. They even cleaned up and set the room back to the way it was before their work began. My new Tv is mounted level, clean, and centered, and they easily installed a kit I bought to safely hid the cords inside the wall. I would definitely give them a call.

Purchased a COSTCO Security Camera System. Was going to self install, but was wisely counseled by…read moremy wife to find a local installer. This proved a little daunting as most security systems installers want to sell their own systems. Looked at two companies for estimates. A&E offers an hourly rate or a turn key estimate and offers to come back and make adjustments if needed. The other company offered an hourly rate with "no guarantees" (not such a great business model as far as I'm concerned). Bobby came out and surveyed the job, recommended some cable and power upgrades and gave me a turn key estimate. (Even though I might have saved a little by going hourly, I don't think there was a large difference in the end given labor and materials). On the appointed day, his guys showed up, made some adjustments to the planned installation due to access issues in the attic. They finished a multiple camera installation with system setup and siting cameras and cleanup by mid afternoon. The bottom line is that the installation and service were excellent and the price was fair.
