I came to this location for the first time, when it was under Dr. Brown. It took awhile to finally get a referral and an appointment. Shortly after, I received an email that it was closing for good. I was bummed, wondering who and how long it will take me to find another allergist. Then I received another email, Dr. Tran is taking over this location. I jumped on it and glad I did. Things happens for a reason. On my first appointment, there was some issue with my referral. They took me in anyways. The front office staff was very nice and friendly. Dr. Tran came in and of course tried to figure out what wrong with me (yes, I'm quite complicated). Anyways, he gave me medication to try and it's been 2 weeks now, since I last used my inhaler. I had to repeatedly tell the staff which shot doses my son needed because they couldn't keep up with their own dosing and paperwork. Would be told one thing on the phone and another in person about dosing, wait times after doses, etc. On my last try, the doctor ordered bloodwork for my son, I scheduled time to go get it done, and the order was not in the system... They never called up to follow up or check in... except for today when the receptionist asked me if I wanted my son to continue as a patient. When I expressed my concerns she was kind, but said that she didn't work there at the time and she is sorry to hear I'm unhappy... it felt dismissive to me although she was kind... but for them to wait months to check in it seems like they were all unaware even if they did work there. Now I'm a busy mom back on the hunt for somewhere new to start back at square one. read more

I came to this clinic after my previous allergy clinic shut down unexpectedly, and I'm so glad it happened. It was a blessing in disguise. All the staff and doctors are so friendly and take the time to talk to you thoroughly to get to the root of your allergy issues. We first saw Dr.Tran approximately 7yrs ago to help us with my daughter's excruciating eczema. In TWO visits- he found her trigger and she has been routinely eczema free since then. Still she is plagued with food and environmental allergens (some so severe she always has an EPIPEN). Shortly after the first of this year, we began OIT treatment for 2 of the highest tree nut offenders. In just under 4 months, she is already eating those nuts on a daily basis- continuing to increase the amount weekly as her body refuses to be threatened by these foods. Simultaneously, she is undergoing allergy shots for the environmental issues. Dr. P has been very sensitive to her this Spring-as this is peak season for her allergies. While we await the benefits of the injections- he has given her many supportive treatments to minimize her Spring suffering. We have seen all of the doctors, and has received great care. But what truly stands out is the exceptional care provided by their medical assistants, especially Kiara. Kiara has gone above and beyond to ensure my daughter feels comfortable and understands her options throughout the entire process. Her kindness and attention to detail makes a potentially stressful experience much more manageable. Dr was great assistant was amazing the issue i had was with the front desk, i was told my insurance is in their network and my testing will be covered, but at checkout i was told that apparently my insurance is not in network and i have to pay out of pocket but no worries because they gave me a discount. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Tran. From the moment that you walk into his office you are received with such kindness and professionalism. Doctor Tran took the time to sit and ask me questions about my 3 year old son and all of the problems he's been having. He even helped me figure out solutions for my sons eczema and molluscum. Which I have been taking him to a dermatologist for those issues but they have continued. The funny part is that I took my son for breathing/allergy issues and he took the time to share his knowledge. The whole visit was a great experience. I Just want to thank Dr. Tran for saving our son. Our son was born and suddenly developed multiple allergies. He was only breastfeed for the entire first year of his life cause he either threw up other foods or developed rash, hives and eczema. My wife and I went through multiple pediatricians and dermatologist who couldn't figure out why he was having rash and eczema. One of the most distressing experiences with few of the specialists we consulted was that they didn't even take the time to even examine our son. One dermatologist just told us to undress him and put him on the exam table. She barely even touched him and told us to dress him back up. We both work in healthcare and know what a proper physical exam is like. When we went to Dr. Tran he was not only patient, a great listener but properly examined our son. He ordered all the necessary labs/allergy panel and was able to narrow down the allergens. He took time to explain to us the multiple treatment options available and tailored a treatment specific for our son. He was also nice enough to allow us contact him for questions and concerns. We followed the treatment plan and saw the changes. With every follow up visit, Dr. Tran was very happy with the improvement. Innovative Allergy is hands down the best allergy/immunology clinic in Houston. I've been in medical sales for 25 years and I've seen it all. Many allergists are quick to do "shots and drops" or load you up on meds to get you out the door. Dr Tran and Dr Nguyen care about their patients and aren't afraid to take the time to dig for answers and actually follow up to make sure treatment is working. Dr. Tran and his staff have been a lifesaver, and if you have ever dealt with any allergies, I highly recommend visiting Innovative Allergy Clinic! I did not start having allergy issues until about 1.5 years ago when I moved back to Houston. I visited my primary care doctor a few times to address it and tried a variety of medicines (with poor results). My coworker recommended that I see an allergist to potentially get a series of shots to get my allergies treated, so I settled on Innovative Allergy Clinic solely because of the Yelp reviews. I decided to get tested to see what I'm actually allergic to. "During the first type of skin test, a drop of a suspected allergen is pricked on the surface of the skin." I went through about 7 different tests, and it turns out that I'm only allergic to dust mites. Dr. Tran then provided a simple solution - get rid of my old bedding and purchase ones that protect against dust mites. This actually made a lot of sense because once the weather warmed up this past Spring, I stored my comforter and the allergies went away. I thought my allergies changed because of the weather, but it was because of the bedding. Dr. Tran could have pushed for the shot treatment or oral immunotherapy but I appreciated his honesty and for the money I saved. I am very satisfied with the attention and care Dr. Tran and his staff extended to me. The appointment was seamless with little (particularly none) waiting time and Dr. Tran demonstrated a geniune concern for his patients. I appreciated the explanations and immediate follow-ups in addition to ease of the entire experience. This was my first time getting an allergy test and learned the hard way that I had a delayed reaction to environmental factors. I have to say that I was a little uncertain as to the benefits that allergy shots would provide my daughter in the beginning. We were referred to Dr. Tran at Innovative Allergy Clinic by my daughter's pulmonologist to treat her for allergens that were setting off her asthma. Like many parents with children that suffer from asthma, we were willing to try nearly anything to help her. We had mini trips to the ER and the final straw was her last trip in ICU for a week once again due to an exacerbation of her asthma. We need to try something different and see if we could get her body and her allergens to normalize and not constantly be inflamed. Shortly after speaking with Dr. Tran we immediately began to understand the benefits of treating her asthma from the allergy perspective and the constant inflammation. Dr. Tran was excellent with my daughter And made her feel as calm and comfortable as possible. Dr. Tran explained not only to my wife and I, but to my daughter in specific detail the treatment process and what the expectations would be as it continued. This helped my daughter understand the process and how the treatment would benefit her and/or affect her and what to pay attention for with her breathing and body reactions. There is a certain calmness that comes over you when you understand what's happening and you understand what could possibly happen so that you pay attention more and you're better prepared. My daughters treatment started just over a year ago and since the beginning of the treatment we have not had one asthmatic attack or exacerbation. There are many steps that we needed to take in our day-to-day lives to help my daughters illness, but I firmly and truly believe that each and every component and recommendation that Dr. Tran has given us has been the key to keeping my daughter healthy safe and breathing. I was very pleased with the experience in the office with the staff, and especially pleased with the genuine level of interest, care and professionalism of Dr. Tran. We love Dr. Tran. He's so easy to talk to and really cares about his patients. He spends a good amount of time with us and answers all our questions. My 3 year old is doing his oral immunotherapy Ollereg for a severe peanut allergy and it is super easy and we've felt safe doing it the entire time. The office is clean and has a good amount of free parking. Wait time is minimal, shorter than any other doctor we've visited. Dr. Tran is amazing!!! I was having severe allergies were my eye lids would close shut. I saw two allergists before seeing Dr. Tran and they were not able to pin out what was causing them or provide the best way to prevent these allergy attacks. However, Dr. Tran provided great insight and conducted the right test to prevent my allergy attacks. I am happy to say that after since seeing Dr. Tran and using the medications that he described I no longer have flare ups from allergies. He also worked with my budget as I was in a high deductible insurance plan and his team worked to get me an appointment the same day I called due to the severity of my allergies.
