Avoid hiring this electrician: He cuts corners and his work is not up to code. I had no idea until his work was checked by another electrician. He claims to be licensed but he is not. He also upsells and up-charges. He recommends an option that is easiest for him to do, but is the most invasive method to your house and your pocket. He will give you a quote and then ask for more money toward the end, even though the scope of work did not change. Most of his positive reviews are from simple tasks like installing a fan, light, EV charger, etc. that are performed by his employee. Richard is honest and pleasant to work with but does not have the skills to perform more complicated tasks. I needed two outlets added inside my garage. I used Innovation Electric before and reached out to them on Tuesday. Dong got back to me quickly and sent Richard over on Wednesday. Richard looked over what I wanted and I was given a quote. I gave them the go ahead and Richard made a quick trip to pick up some supplies. He was very diligent and made sure the outlets were exactly where I wanted them. As one was in proximity to the washing machine plumbing area, he installed a gfci outlet. Richard cleaned up after himself and took some pictures. I was able to pay for the job via Zelle. Total waste of time and NOT worth contracting because you'll just have to worry up until the very day if Dong, or any employee of his that is supposed to show for your electrical work, WILL EVEN SHOW UP. Based on my experience, they probably will not and Dong will cancel. It is nice that at least he will text you super late the night before to let you know they have to postpone or, second time around, they have to cancel fully. He misread Yucca Valley for Jurupa Valley even after my very first message to him was "Hey Dong, I have a property in Yucca Valley, will you be in that area?" *note that his business came up when I was searching for electricians in the area*. I also let sent him my address the day before to confirm everything was good (see screen shots). Overall, just a really piss poor job of paying attention to details. Great work done by Dong and his team. I had several projects that needed to be done to make my house livable again. I needed a working dryer again so a cut 240v line needed to be reconnected. The kitchen fluorescent lights suddenly stopped working. Dong converted the present fixtures to LED so I wouldn't have to worry about ballasts going bad in the future.
