I went there on a Sunday night with some friends. My 2 friends ordered Sam Adams and I ordered a Sofia Coppolla sparkling wine. My wine wasn't chilled so they gave me a glass of champagne on the house. That was really nice of them. They had a random and yet hilarious looking DVD featuring Mr. T playing. I would've loved to hear it instead of the crap the DJ was spinning. The wings were delicious and the sauces were good. Not the best decor in town but has become our favorite go-to place to watch a game and have some grub. For bar food, it is really great. Yes, it is Chicago and you expect everyone to be friendly, but this place is extra accommodating - have been enough to get to know a couple of the bartenders and they are great. Try the tomato soup, the mac and cheese and their wings. I went to 80/90s night on Saturday the music was great, the bartenders and DJ were awesome. Nice atmosphere, good crowd. Gets packed before 10pm, they have an upstairs and downstairs area. They have music videos to go with the music upstairs. They have have screens downstairs but no music videos it would have been nice if they played downstairs too. I came here to celebrate my 24th birthday (not my idea, my friend set it up). While my friends were inside spending a great amount of money at the bar for my birthday, I was stuck outside waiting in line for more than 30 minutes. When I asked the doorman if there was anything he can do to let me in to my birthday party, he refused to help and told me to go to the end of the line. I waited in line for 30 minutes before calling it quits and going to Fat Pour. Long story short, first time here (unwillingly) and never coming here again. We had a group of 8 who stopped in here after the food fest. The crowd was vibrant and everybody was singing and dancing. We did not eat but had a great time just drinking..listening to some great old music and watching all the videos that went with the music. Everybody loved it!! For a long time, I've seen the outdoor billboard saying "1/2 price burgers Tuesday nights!" - and it took me forever to finally go check it out. I'm glad that I did. Note: This is going to be a burger exclusive review... For this 1/2 price deal, you have the choice of 3 burger styles: Original (with cheese), Turkey burger, or veggie burger. (Lucky for me, I went there with 3 friends and got to try each one). As for the original burger, it was good..... but not amazing. There are better burgers out there. Let's fast-forward to the turkey-burger. This was a nice surprise! Very juicy, made from real turkey (and not the frozen type of turkey-patties one can get at Jewel). It tasted clearly of fresh meat and even crumbled a bit on each bite. Nice. Very Nice. Highly rec this burger. As for the veggie burger, I give my stamp of approval once again. This was clearly made-in-house and very fresh. Great taste too. The value was not that amazing, even though they were 1/2 off. After tax and tip is added, the burger comes to about 5 - 6 bucks.... well, it is DEFINITELY cheaper than the normal InnJoy price, but still a bit on the expensive side for a bar-burger. On mondays they have a wing special (25 cent each I believe) and cheap bottles/pints of beer. The bartenders and regulars are pretty cool and fun to chat with while watching the monday night games. We went to Inn Joy on Saturday night in the blistering snow. We had fun. We had a seat at the bar, and the bartenders were plenty attentive. I've read some bad reviews about waitresses, but I didn't deal with any. People were good looking that I looked at. Or maybe that was just my group? However, I felt right at home drinking away. The fun thing is, if you drink enough everyone can be friends. It had a great neighborhood feel with everybody running in to beat the snow. Prices were on par with any Lincoln Park or River North bar. Nothing was cheap that I knew of. I liked the music a lot too. I went there with a friend on a Wednesday evening after work all because we wanted to sit outside in the nice weather. I had a decent time there. We ordered two appetizers and a pizza only because pizzas were 1/2 half. Can't beat that. Our appetizers were so so and the pizza was a little too spicy but we dealed with it. The beer was cheap so that was a plus. My major complaint was that our waitress was a dummy. She kept forgetting about us and she brought us out the wrong appetizers. Keep in mind that the place was nowhere near busy so unless it was her first day I don't see why the reason behind making so many mistakes. Went here last night with a friend for a cocktail. I have to say...I have very luke-warm feelings. There could have been more people there. The decor was good...the music unmemorable...out door patio looked nice. When we got there we asked how much longer the patio was going to be open and the door guy said ten min. An hour later it was still open...So i kinda was wishing to be in greener pastures. My drink was night and strong and reasonable priced ($8). Service was prompt. I went here during the summer and still remember the horrible experience. Me and my friends seated ourselves in the outdoor area and waited about an hour for a waitress/waiter that never came. During the wait, my boyfriend went inside to ask the bartender if we would be served any time soon and was assured that we would. My boyfriend got us margaritas that were very sour and hard to drink and had to bring them himself. We took our time drinking them while looking around at other people being served. No one ever came up to us and didn't even look in our direction. We decided to leave and my boyfriend went to the bar to pay his tab and the bartender was not apologetic at all when was told we were leaving because no server ever came. Never ever again. read more

This is a good safe bet on Division. Went on a Wednesday night and sat outside. Ate the BBQ chicken salad; which had fresh green beans and was really light. I don't know what it is about this bar, but everyone acts like they are BFFs here and are just so nice. If you're going out with girls and looking to meet dudes this is not the place for you.
